CHAPTER 1

3.8k words (: enjoy!

--------------------

I woke up.

I found myself in an unfamiliar environment full of foreign sounds and smells.

I quickly left my lying position and scanned my surroundings.

The sight of vast grasslands with some trees popping off the ground dragged me into a moment of tranquility.

I snapped out of it when I felt weird.

I wore clothes than usual and imagined myself being taller.

I spared no hesitation to check my body.

Yes, indeed. That was not my body.

At least this body has a considerably better physic than my former.

My overgrown belly no more obstructed my view at my feet.

Yay!

Suddenly, my senses were abruptly shifted to a completely different world.

A barren piece of land presented itself to me.

I frowned.

I was convinced that this was real, but it felt like this whole thing resides in my stomach.

I let my senses wander around aimlessly until I stumbled upon the border of this mysterious land.

On my way an only saw some bugs swirling around and digging themselves into the ground.

I did not pay my attention to those.

But at this moment a crucial piece of information popped up in my mind.

Reverend Insanity. Gu Worms. Gu Immortals. Immortal Aperture.

This trapped me into a state of shock.

I lamented my cruel fate which snapped me out of the shock.

Why must I be reincarnated into that world or of all?

This world was filled with dangers lurking everywhere only to find me and reap any possible benefit from me.

I might have memories of the modern 21th century but there was no more other cheat.

I tried to see it in a more positive way.

At least I am a gu immortal, a newly ascended rank 6 to be precise.

And I am assumingly in Western Desert looking at the dry climate dominating the region.

At closer look I am in my early twenties and don't seem to have any affiliation.

Great, basically I am a nobody.

The former owner of this body seemed to be either nurtured to by somebody else or simply has talent.

Also great, now I have neither of them.

I hoped my gu are not as pitiful as my circumstances.

Just as I was about to take a look at my gu I realized that I have no idea about gu and refinement materials.

I could not stop me from chuckling at myself.

There is only one solution to that!

I activated all gu I encountered in my blessed land and noted their effect, because I owned immortal essence which is practically an infinite source of primeval essence for mortal gu.

It was unusually easy for me to memorize them.

Is it maybe because of me being a gu immortal, me having wisdom path or information path Dao marks?

Whatever, I can find out later.

Gradually I deduced that I was a space path gu immortal by observing all the gu that spawned there.

I could not help myself but to grin as I was happy to be not part of the more common paths like fire path or water path.

At one point I found a gu which has a significantly different aura than the rest I have seen.

One thought emerged in my mind – immortal gu!

But I refrained myself from testing it due to me having limited immortal essence.

Not long after I found divine sense gu and connecting heaven gu, which will allow me access to yellow treasure heaven.

I excitingly activated them as my will was rocketed into yellow treasure heaven.

That place was grandiose, but it wasn't too crowded here.

After asking a random nice gu immortal here, I made my way to heavenly court's location to find basic information about the gu immortal world.

There are countless descriptions of anything you could have asked for and there were even rankings shown on the billboard.

I stood there for a very long time, memorizing everything I came across as somebody approached me.

He asked me to collect immortal material for him, because he could not spare any time for it and it is also a very cheap one which is why it is not sold in yellow treasure heaven.

This immortal material was only found in western desert and was called black poison sand.

Coincidentally, I was in Western Desert and in need of immortal essence stones.

I agreed to his request on which he gave me detailed information about where to find it and which method to use to harvest it.

Before leaving yellow treasure heaven I quickly put my mortal gu for sale in exchange for basic gu and materials which I found essential for my intended direction of development.

When I was about to head to the location of the location of the black poison sand, a batch of my gu were already sold.

Mostly my rank 5 and 4 gu worms were sold.

Only half of them were left.

I expressed a 'XD' on my face.

At this moment I have 10 tons of coal and 15 tons of a very wide variety of oxides (to name a few: Aluminum oxide, Iron oxide, uranium oxide) causally existing in my blessed land.

[A/N oxides are what is commonly found in nature when searching for minerals]

This world is surely abundant in resources.

While flying to my destination another batch of items were sold.

This time I gained a lot of mortal gu.

I carefully activated a simple killer move I thought was possible to use.

Killer move – X-Ray vision!

The environment surrounding me instantaneously transformed into a world of black and white.

I did not think I would manage it in the first try.

Maybe I am also a genius, hehe.

While admiring the view I spotted a human shaped skeleton below the ground... no multiple ones and not only a human shaped one.

It seemed like there are camels amongst them as well.

I began to descend to investigate and still my curiosity.

I expected it to be a caravan but there were no goods nor any gu masters.

Everyone was asleep.

Even though it was pitch dark in the night without the moon, I could clearly see them.

They were just mortals. Actually, they were mortals wandering around to find an oasis.

They might have been shunned from their oasis or it has dried out.

The only thing protecting them from the omnipresent dangers is some type of cloth whose surface is similar to the sandy ground covering their presence.

It might have been the reason why they have not been spotted by predators.

It is pitiful but it will not last any longer.

I decided to let them reside in my immortal aperture.

I also prepared a shrine there for the purpose of them able to revere me.

Actually, this is a kind of sacrificial shrine.

They give me stuff and I give something in return.

That is at least the thing which I had in mind.

I have already placed a 'holy book' in which I take the role of god.

They are part of my future plans.

I again made myself on my way to my previous goal after finishing my business.

After a while of travelling, I found some ponds of the black poison sand.

It was farting poisonous gases I rather not want to inhale.

Luckily, the gu immortal who tasked me also gave me appropriate methods to collect it.

After ending the uncomfortable collection process. I contacted that gu immortal again.

We agreed that in exchange I will get 4 and a half immortal essence stones.

It was fine for me. First profit after all.

Oh wait, what am I going to do now?

I have a vague plan about how to develop quietly, but I still have no goal in life which was no different than in my previous life.

I guess I just wait for it surprising me when I am sitting in the toilet.

After pondering for a while about what to do next I came to a conclusion.

I am going to build a nuclear power plant.

It might sound impossible at first, but in truth it has a very basic concept.

Heating water up for its gases to power turbines which in return generate electricity.

With the help of wisdom path gu worms I can compile a whole book about natural sciences.

Don't underestimate somebody who lived in a world with access to the internet.

So I went on building a nuclear power plant.

It took me weeks and several revisions to successfully build the most powerful energy provider of humanity so far.

By the way, the time flow of my blessed land is about 18 times faster to that of the outside world and its area equals roughly to that of two Luxembourgs (5000km2).

While building it, I made a wonderful discovery.

I had been bored while building it even with the help of gu, so I wanted to test some things out.

I had some rank 4 metal path materials in stock and it was an iron type.

So I tried to refine it into steel using similar methods to those on earth.

And it turned out that it has increased its rank to rank 5.

Although I could not identify it, I thought about it for a bit and realized that this is revolutionary.

What about immortal materials then?

Could I apply that to them as well?

Shortly after that I bought some rank six silver sun iron from Tie clan who are renown for their metal path achievements.

It's melting temperature was more than double than normal Iron but with the help of gu it was a less than a troublesome process.

Differently than normal gu immortals would have handled this I used gu to strengthen the chemical reactions to reach the desired heat.

It is like the difference between a bow and a cross bow.

The one side uses brute strength while the other uses practical principles.

The molten metal began to condense.

After experimentally mixing different materials into it I managed to magically create a rank 7 version of it which turned out to be golden.

I call it Gold Star Steel and after confirmation of Tie clan that it is indeed superior to the former version, they were willing to buy my product.

We made a trade agreement where I get some immortal essence stones as compensation for my services.

In the gu world quality was generally preferred opposed to quantity.

That way I have opened my first stream of income.

With my new earned money, I did not hesitate to invest in other sources of income like this.

At the time I am researching in my fourth immortal material which I could refine, I completed the nuclear power plant.

Cooling system check. Nuclear Core check. Turbines check.

After scrutiny, I proudly activated it.

Its energy output will be used to expand my immortal materials industry.

I already gained some attention in yellow treasure heaven, but I wanted to remain low profile at first before having proper counter measures against wisdom path.

That is why I only make small to medium scale transactions dispersed to many different wills to cover my identity.

While my business is running smoothly, I redirected my attention back to the mortals I have put under my care.

It seemed that they have already established themselves a village.

Buildings made of cement and chimneys excreting smoke could be seen all over the place.

You might wonder how the have managed it.

The answer is simple.

Right at the beginning I already spread fertile soil and created many lakes across the blessed land to ensure a living environment.

When those villagers first entered there, I gave one of them the role of the prophet.

By pouring in the knowledge of the English language he could read the contents of the holy book which I had written in English to make an aura of mysteriousness around the book.

He then spread the word of me saving them and some false information I wrote in the holy book.

With the help of wisdom path gu worms it was no challenge to convince them.

They believed that they came originally from earth and were victims of the fury of other gods.

The gods have then flooded their continent, but a remarkable me has saved them from their demise.

But unfortunately, most of their technology were lost.

Yes, this is the story of Atlantis, don't mind it.

The mortals began to live and work as usual.

In the center of the village there was a church where they sacrificed refined mortal refinement materials which I provided them with in exchange for knowledge I deemed as necessary for them to progress.

Like for instance basics about chemistry or philosophies I want them to adopt.

Multiple of such villages were spread across the blessed lands with the most populous of them having 500 inhabitants.

Yes, I had the virtue to save more people from their miserable lives.

Of course, I suppressed any use of gu in my blessed land if suddenly a gu master were to emerge.

That will be lifted when I give certain people a 'miracle' or a gift of God.

Now I will wait for them to slowly develop.

My nuclear power plant remained in my personal space which the people call 'domain of Father Luis'.

Oh, for the case you didn't know, my name was Luis.

But that would stand out if I would use it in this world, so just call me Lou Li.

That Space was protected by an invisible wall which I created with a gu formation.

But it was pretty weak (about as durable as 10 cm (3 inches) of steel), so I should improve it later when my formation path attainment rises.

But it is still enough to hold investigations away.

Currently villages are establishing diplomatic relations with each other.

Some were friendly and some were aggressive

It began to look like the initial stages of an online history war strategy game.

My management of my immortal aperture was going smoothly.

Ah yes, I almost forgot about Fang Yuan, the main character of this novel.

I began investigating the current happenings of the world.

It turned out I woke up at the time when Fang Yuan was fleeing from the with ice covered Quing Mao mountain.

That means I have ample of time until the world drowns in chaos.

Uhh... I still felt so weak.

That was the truth.

I had a big zero at the amount of combat experience and also heaven's will was constantly pressuring me.

I had no idea what its next move will be, if it will damage or benefit me.

Best is to ignore it, but still to prepare myself for accidents.

At that thought, I looked at my immortal gu with a perplexed look.

It was a supporting type immortal gu with neither offensive nor defensive capabilities.

It was Expand Space immortal gu.

Its food were rank six void pearls.

I bought some to feed it as well as storage them for the future.

I think it was better to lie low at first and develop proper tactics before making a further move.

Few weeks passed again before I made another major breakthrough.

I managed to make a computer!

It excels in making calculations, processing and storing information which is essential for my lack of wisdom path methods.

I wished to use it as the raw power contributor in the wisdom path field.

An A.I. would let my power jump into unpredictable levels.

Sadly, this one right in front of me looks very primitive compared to even the oldest computers of the 21st century.

It looked very big like the older models I know, and I had to make monstrous amounts of effort to reach that step I am currently at.

I am no computer engineer or any kind of expert in that field.

Like when building the nuclear reactor (which was comparatively easier for me) I had to do every step by myself like refining the ores for me to use and doing the necessary calculations and deductions of formulas for things to work.

Some of them were taken care of by my human capital but the main contribution still belonged to me.

I was only one person.

I think what I have done was enough.

I wished a computer chip would fall out if thin air, so I could reverse-engineer it.

At second thought it would not be worth it because I hadn't the means of manufacturing them.

I could not speed run the technology tree.

I must remain patient.

There were around 8 years left until my first earthly calamity.

My immortal aperture possessed one nuclear power plant, many automated industrial zones and besides that a population of an estimated 10.000 humans.

Originally there were only 5000 but because of my religion advocating for fertility and also me *cough* casting my blessing on pregnant women to increase the rate multiple children are born at once.

Soon there will be another flood of newborns.

That means that there will be more toddlers than grown ups in my blessed land.

But that will not be a problem for them as both parents being able to raise them simultaneously.

My blessed land has enough resources for them to sustain themselves even if working hours are reduced.

But I with the upcoming generation I was not so sure.

They would have to pass the earthly calamity and survive somehow.

Of course I would be there to protect them but nobody can predict what mishaps could occur.

Currently they sustain themselves by offering me produced chemicals, refined mortal refinement materials and their research capacities.

For example they managed to produce soap without me having to take part in it.

Although not really impressive I rewarded them generously as they offered it to me to show that I will support new inventions.

In the future they might help me at bigger matter.

For now they are quite just at the beginning of industrialization but with the passing of time and my lead they might achieve greater heights than my former world.

Another important point was their human qi contribution.

I had noticed that my rate of immortal essence generation increased when children were born.

That means the more humans, the deeper my cultivation foundation.

In terms of resource points I have none.

I should try to create a resource point maybe.

But first I would expand my energy supplies.

I noted down that I wanted to build two more nuclear power plants.

Exactly at this point I decided to take a break.

I started to fly around in the hot deserts of the wester part of this world.

Sand, there was sand everywhere, nothing else.

On the horizon a faint figure flew in to the direction to the right from me.

Out of nowhere he changed directions and started to rapidly approach me.

Fuck, don't come near me.

I realized what kind of situation I would be confronted with if I were unlucky.

I refrained myself from running away as I would lose the initiative and it would also look suspicious.

In front of me landed a woman with a rank 6 aura possessing divine beauty I could not describe.

I was startled at first, but I collected myself and took a deep breath.

"Hi. My name is Lui Li. What's yours and what business have you with me.", I said with a faint smile.

She showed a hint of surprise in her scarlet eyes.

"I am called Blue Lily Immortal. I haven't seen you around here before. You are a lone immortal, right?"

I nodded in response.

Her expression suddenly brightened up into an ugly smirk as the aura of killer move activation was emitted from her.

Immortal killer move – poison flower fragrance!

Clouds of poisonous gas rushed towards my position.

I tensed up and panickily used my immortal gu expand space.

The distance between the hazardous blue gas and I began to expand which gave me ample of time to activate my movement killer move.

"You are not going anywhere."

The woman ruthlessly buried her tender hands into the floor while activating another killer move.

Out of nowhere, vines broke through the ground, wrapping around my legs and rendering me immobile.

Its thorns tightly held onto my skin, letting me out groans of pain.

Thoughts were rapidly colliding in my heads as I delayed the poison gas by spamming expand space.

Suddenly my mind fell into dizziness which worsened my situation.

"It's already over. Your lack of experience was your demise. I noticed it at the first glance. Unlike demonic path or righteous path gu immortals, you lone immortals avoid conflict, therefore making you weak."

She began to manically laugh, making her look ridiculous as she has her hands still buried in the ground.

But I had not the time nor the mood to smirk at it.

I tried to burn them by using hydrogen in support of fire path gu, of which I thought would reach excellent temperatures.

But my assumption of being able to burn them went awfully wrong.

Instead, they were absolutely fine while my already numbed legs were burn terribly.

Blue Lily immortal scoffed at my attempt.

"Your struggle is praiseworthy. But it is futile. Even if you escape you will die in a few weeks due to the poison contained in the vines on your leg. Surrender to me and I might give you the chance to live as my slave, hahaha!"

I simply replied with a 'Fuck You'.

I worried about my fried legs as I realized something as my divine sense in my blessed land discovered a critical item.

I screamed with joy when I found a solution to my current predicament.

I shot out a liquid from my palm with temperatures rivaling the absolute zero mark at the vines which showed an immediate effect.

They contracted and became brittle because of the ice-cold temperatures.

I propelled myself with hydrogen explosions and broke free while continuing to spam expand space immortal gu.

"How?"

Blue Lily immortal could not believe her eyes.

She dug out her hands and flew away with a dejected expression.

It seems she gave up on me.

Maybe because between us was still a huge cloud of poison floating around and she is not immune to it, or she has no movement killer move which could compete with my expand space immortal gu.

I retreated back to the location I first found myself in when I reincarnated.

I placed my immortal aperture here and strayed towards the entrance.

I think first person perspective is easier for me to write than the 3rd. I will upload next week maybe.

I have seriously thought of if i should write this or, something different.

RN I am writing while learning english vocabulary for school, so i guess this counts as practice. (It is not very efficient btw)
