Kind?

Hello, Author here! I forgot to say anything about the power stones donated or about any questions I would like to ask yesterday, sorry about that.

Question:

1. What do you guys think about paths like Earth Path or Metal Path which only have defensive capabilities. Do you like them or dislike them?

Also, fun fact, Sword and Blade path dao marks are different because, according to Chinese,

A sword (Jian) is a two edged sharp weapon while a blade (Dao) is a one edged sharp weapon.

This is the reason why sword path and blade path are considered different.

Thank you to,

Lead_top_zuuuu for (2 powerstones)

Also, Let me just make it clear.

Tai Qing is definitely not what he portrays himself as.

Pretty much every single character I write in the story will be REALLY FUCKED UP.

Naturally, I won't depict rape or any other heinous crimes but there will be alot of fucked up things happening to the MC throughout the story.___________________________________________

Wei Huan's cell door opened as he walked out with his head hung low, whether in fear or to conceal his face, none could be sure.

The old man grabbed his hands, pulling out a key to remove his thick and heavy handcuffs. The handcuffs fell to the ground, almost causing the wood on the floor to crack.

Wei Huan looked at the bruises he had on his wrists from this pair of handcuffs. They were extremely dirty and infected. After all, slaves rarely got the luxury of a bath.

This was a pair of handcuffs specially used to trap gu masters. It weighed 20 KG and the connector between the two cuffs almost looked like a metal pole.

This pair of handcuffs was extremely durable, it would take a modern man over 2 hours to remove it, even with advanced machinery.

The older man held Wei Huan by his forearm and dragged him, almost throwing him towards the middle aged man. Wei Huan barely balanced himself, almost falling down. He looked upwards to glare at the older man, his brows furrowed and forming white knuckle fists.

Even the middle aged man for some reason seemed shocked, his eyes narrowing towards the older man and his shoulders tightening.

The old man looked downwards as he felt the middle aged man's gaze. He lifted up his arms towards the middle aged man, handing him a rank 2 slavery gu, the gu which had been used to capture Wei Huan.

The middle aged man patted Wei Huan's back, pushing him slightly and signalling him to leave the large carriage. Wei Huan could only comply, even without the slavery gu, this gu master could clearly control him by force.

Wei Huan walked outside the small carriage. He immediately looked downwards, his eyes almost burning from the sunlight which he had rarely seen for the past month.

"Are you hungry?" The middle aged man asked, looking at Wei Huan,

"No...." Wei Huan spoke, seemingly trying to avoid the possible outcome of being beaten,

"Well, I'm hungry, let's eat something!" The middle aged man said with a small smile on his face,

Wei Huan kept quiet, not knowing what to say or whether he could trust the middle aged man. The middle aged man almost ran forwards, seeming excited. Wei Huan could only follow him slowly, barely having strength in his body due to malnutrition.

The middle aged man came to a stop near a large wooden building with a small sign near the entrance stating "Stone Inn and Restaurant".

Bella chimed as the man walked through the door, Wei Huan following behind him. The man sat down and called out:

"Old Wang! Get me a plate of Peking Duck and Rice!"

"Alright! No need to scream!" An old man spoke, feeling frustrated,

"Tai Qing, Who's that boy you have with you?" The old man questioned, staring at the middle aged man,

The middle aged man, now known as Tai Qing spoke:

"He's a slave, I picked up at the caravan nearby."

"Hm? I always thought that you hated slavery. What happend?" Old Wang questioned, making a gesture with his hands,

"It's not slavery If I pay him, right? I'll keep him at my house and put him to work while helping him cultivate" Tai Qing continued,

"That sounds more like you!" Old Wang said, picking up a wok before heating up some leftover Peking Duck,

Wei Huan stared at him in confusion, completely speechless at this man's actions. After all, slave trade was normal, it was difficult to find someone who disliked it. It was even more rare to find someone who treated their slaves properly and even gave them wages.

After a few minutes, the old man walked up to their table, putting down a plate of Peking Duck and Rice, smiling at Tai Qing. Tai Qing thanked him before turning towards Wei Huan and asking:

"Do you want some? You seem hungry"

"No..." Wei Huan said, looking down once again,

Tai Qing has an exasperated expression on his face as he reached over towards Wei Huan's body. Wei Huan stood as still as a statue, unaware of what Tai Qing was about to do.

Tai Qing merely poked Wei Huan in the side of his ribs, making Wei Huan almost flinch. Tai Qing stared at him looking annoyed:

"I can feel your ribs, you know? Just shut up and eat!"

"..."

Wei Huan slowly moved his hands towards the bowl of food, picking up chopsticks and slowly picking up a few grains of rice. He slowly brought the chopsticks up to his mouth, taking a bite.

Wei Huan's speed slowly picked up as he gorged himself like a starving wolf. He almost choked on the rice, coughing as he tried to get it out.

Tai Qing slid a glass of water across the plate, allowing Wei Huan to drink it.

Wei Huan was eating shamelessly, after all, who would have any shame whatsoever after being gived only one meal a day and being forced to eat like an animal.

In the first few days of his time in the slave caravan, he would simply refuse to eat, not wanting to be humiliated. This was merely Wei Huan's personality.

He slowly succumbed to his eventual hunger and began to eat. This humiliation was a part of the reason why he hated the slave caravan's owner so much.

Old Wang and Tai Qing simply stared at Wei Huan as he ate, feeling a small sense of pity for him.

A strange smile appeared on Tai Qing's face, appearing almost reminiscent. Tai Qing looked at the older man and asked:

"I think we'll need two more orders of this!"

"Of course you will." Old Wang replied, smiling at Tai Qing,

Wei Huan, eating quickly, finished his meal as well as the other order which Tai Qing had bought for him.

Wei Huan stared at Tai Qing's face as he ate, thinking in disbelief:

"He took me out of the slave caravan, bought me my first proper meal in a month and then even said that he would pay me to work?"

"This guy.... He acts and talks like a direct disciple of Jesus Christ. Does someone so kind truly exist here?"
