FIRST WOMAN

Since the man, Bai Yushen in which Min nation relied on disappeared, Chi nation had the upper hands in the battle and in no time, Min nation was brought to their knees.

Although, Li Yehan was worried about Bai Yushen, she could not just go up to the trio and ask because it would definitely make her look suspicious.

After the last battle, Li Yehan saw Bogsu leaving the camp sneakily and followed her to see if she could get any clues.

But to her surprise, Bogsu started to search the fields pushing the dead bodies that was piled up out of her way.

Li Yehan furrowed her brows wondering what she was doing as it could be a trap set by Bogsu, it was all of a sudden that Li Yehan's mind went back to the anklet, could it be what Bogsu was looking for? Li Yehan thought as she watched the girl scavange the whole fields with her bare hands not bothering if she would dirty herself up at all.

"What do you think you are doing?" Li Yehan first jolted at the voice then later figured out it was Song Yuan that was asking Bogsu.

"I'm obviously looking for something." Bogsu sneered at him and continued digging through the place not minding his presence.

Seeing her dirty appearance, Song Yuan could not help but furrow his brows, "What's it I want to help." Song Yuan stated stiffly, surprised at hi his own statement, he could not believe he would offer to do such a thing was he because it felt familiar to her?

"There is no need." Bogsu said standing up from her squatting position and bowing her head slightly before moving in another direction to continue her search.

Staring at her face, Song Yuan could not help but to feel mesmerized by her beauty because she was indeed one of a kind even though the bloods from the bodies she had digged up stained her face and her hands it did not affect her in any way.

"You little woman." Song Yuan cursed at Bogsu feeling a little unhappy that for the first time he had offered to help someone he was turned down so directly.

Seeing that Bogsu mood was not good Song Yuan decided to let it go releasing a humph as he looked up staring at the night sky deep in thoughts.

"I'm looking for something someone important gave to me, I lost it during the battle and now I can't find it." Bogsu said with a downcast expression on her face.

Song Yuan was extremely surprised as he has always known Bogsu to be extremely arrogant and proud seeing her this way really meant that the jewelry was very important to her.

"Someone once told me no matter what we do, a loved one would always forgive us, I'm sure the person won't get mad at you for losing it in battle." Song Yuan comforted her surprised at himself that he could say so much words just to comfort a woman that isn't his little pervert.

Although the few days of battle he and Bogsu worked together in sync always having each others back so it was safe to say they were buddies on the battlefield.

"I used to say that when I was younger." Bogsu said simply, making Song Yuan throw a complicated gaze at her unsure of what to do, "But growing up I noticed that everyone has boundaries and things they would not tolerate, pushing those buttons severally even if it is a loved one, to forgive might be very difficult." She added as she propped herself up with her hands staring at the sky with a reminiscent expression on her face.

Song Yuan felt twice as shocked than before even if he did not show it on his face, he did not believe that Bogsu would have this kind of wisdom.

"Hmmm. You're probably right." Song Yuan said after a deep thought, while Bogsu looked up and gave him a small smile.

It was graceful and gentle yet packed with elegance making Song Yuan fall into confusion as he wondered if it was still the same woman he knew that was here with him.

"Thank you for your words though, they helped a little even if not much." Bogsu said feeling a bit light hearted than before.

"So why does our dear General Yuan cares about me all of a sudden? Don't tell me you have fallen in love so quick." Bogsu joked switching to her normal self almost immediately.

"Don't be ridiculous." Song Yuan replied sharply as he felt relief wash over him seeing that she was better than before, even if now she is a bit annoying as she talked on and on but Song Yuan did not mind also reverting back to himself speaking few words in response to her which were mostly insults but that night a bond was created as they both chatted in the midst of bodies that had been brought down during the war.

Li Yehan clenched her fist as she watched Bogsu continue poking Song Yuan's face asking him why he was always so stiff.

She wanted nothing more than to rip Bogsu apart as jealousy was eating her up from the inside out.

Then Li Yehan remembered that Bogsu said that the anklet was important to her, if she could just find the use then, it would be easier for her to get back at Bogsu easily.

Li Yehan could not take it any longer as she turned back to leave and turned once more with her eyes stinging seeing their close interaction, inwardly she wished that she was the one that was sitting on the ground with Song Yuan as they both chat but Li Yehan knew that it was impossible, Song Yuan hardly ever went close to any woman, Bogsu was the first woman to do this and she was busy disrespectfully poking his face.

Walking back to the camp, Li Yehan tried to control her emotions so that she would not do anything on impulse.
