Ch 367: Elena's Regret (3)
After learning what happened to Ume in her absence the very first thing she felt was sadness and it was followed by immense regret. The reason she died was not because of the abuse she was receiving from the men but because in her despair she had managed to learn a skill. A skill that allowed her to kill herself to get out of this situation.
That was not all. After she died, her dead body was not left alone. That organisation who was behind all these hung her dead body on a pole to show that they were truly able to protect the citizens as the evil man destroying witch was taken care of by them.
After learning about all these Elena was disheartened. The foods she had brought for Ume to taste were thrown aside by her as she slumped on the ground. It was not Elena's first time losing someone close to her and nor it would be her last but this never got easier. Especially after knowing how horrific her condition was.
