The Gu family appeared peaceful on the surface, but a strong undercurrent was growing in the darkness and many of the more prominent figures within the family had gathered their closest relatives to figure out their next plans and actions.
"You are telling me that your Young Master is sincere with his favoritism of this young Gu Tianyu, and that my son even shows certain signs of flattering and admiration towards an unknown child that my dead sister-in-law left behind?"
Madam Gu's voice was heavy and her eyes lowered so that no one could see the unhappiness growing within. Although Madam Gu had heard her husband and son praising this young nephew quite a few times, she had never cared much about him.
From the very start, she felt that he was an eyesore and that he was benefitting from the Gu family, draining their resources and taking their assistance for granted.
