N/A: I hope you don't get upset with the name being added to the zombies when you and I know they are all zombies but realize that none of them know that and the unknown can only be called a thing or creature, regarding Alan he is 30 and was in umbrella at 15 years old so it is normal the actions that were said in this chapter.

Nothing seemed to improve for the group of three which consisted of Richard, Alan and Paul. They were moving from hallway to hallway looking for a way out, but nothing, every time they thought they found something, they found their hopes on the floor, seeing that the door was closed.

Hunger and thirst were already taking their toll, mostly thirst, being in a place where heat abounded.

At first the three were about to drink the water from the pipes, but it seemed that any contact with the creature's fluids or you would be transformed and no one knew if the water in the mansion was contaminated.

"What will we do!" Alan said to himself as frustration clouded his judgment.

"Who is brave enough to test if the water in the pipes still works and is not infectious?" asked Paul.

After Paul's question, both Alan and Richard turned away, because as they knew, no one was willing to test the water at the beginning, but as time went by it was just sacrificing one, but the morals of each one made that no one had the courage, but now Richard pronounced those selfish words so easily, "Well, why don't you do it, since you proposed the idea" Alan spoke.

"If after all the proposer is the one who should implement his offer " Richard supported Alan, as they went against Paul.

They were selfish and ruthless....But nothing could be done, after all in times of desperation, it was normal for people to act like wild animals concerned only with their own survival.

Paul saw the two of them trying to use him as a sacrifice for the fact that he would test the water in the pipes that could turn him into one of those creatures. "I have a wife and unborn child waiting for me at home "he flatly refused.

Once again the air of sadness filled the room, as the three people became more and more depressed. The silence lasted a good 10 minutes or so until Alan decided to get up "Well, I'll do it ...Ethan is a big boy I raised him right and I don't have any regrets".

They were currently in a rich people's closet, which to the three of them looked like a luxury room in which they could sleep if there was a bed and not women's dresses that could not be worn by the three of them.

"Well I don't know if heating the water with the possible virus strain could kill them since I wasn't at umbrella for very long and couldn't do anything but witness those experiments since I joined umbrella as a junior scientist "Alan spoke.

"Uncle Alan since you were in those experiments do you know the names of the creatures?" asked Richard.

"well as far as I know...I don't know the name by which the scientists referred to those creatures, after all the project was secret, I could see what they were doing and that is why I left as I was a hormonal adolescent and I regretted it at first as I could do a lot of damage from inside umbrella....but if I had done that I would not have saved the children with the group I gathered with maria. Alan spoke.

"Yes but I asked you about what those creatures are called, spoke Richard.

"A sorry I don't know what they're called," Alan replied.

Paul was silent to the chatter of both adult and teen duo, as he already knew all that, but he was irritated by the lack of food and water "Well stop your chatter and let's go find what we need, the main thing is to look for empty bottles, a bowl and someone bring the water or find a safe area with water."

"At times like these Paul is a better leader than I am.... I don't understand why he's not doing it all the time "he pouted Alan.

"Well we have to meet at this place everyone," after we find everything, the three agreed as they left for their respective targets.

"It sure is dark in the rooms" Richard said to himself as he brought a pistol in his hand, as it was the second quietest weapon after his knife.

Richard currently had 20 rounds, two 8-round magazines and the remaining 4 rounds left in his pistol.

Door by door, Richard tried to reopen all the doors he could find, after all hope was never lost. Since they passed through a while ago there seemed to be no more creatures in the area where Richard was since so far in the area where they were there were only normal creatures and they were not very difficult to eliminate.

Which was fortunate, as they had not encountered the upside-down creature and the screamer again.

Corridor by corridor, Richard arrived at the same room as before, where they had all gathered moments before splitting up. He was lucky not to run into the two most troublesome creatures, something he was heartily grateful for.

Quietly, this time Richard sat on the sofa, the paintings were hung around the room and it was obvious that they were very expensive. "They used to live well in the mansion," Richard mocked.

In the center of the room there was a painting which, although scary, attracted Richard's attention as it was surely painted by someone very dark inside.

The painting was a vivid representation of a screaming woman, she was seen to have a key in her body and that's when a memory came to Richard's mind, the moment when they confronted the screaming female creature, a long name but it was cool to Richard.

In brief moments of the screaming creature escaping, Richard got a good look at her, as in the rags that were called clothes before, there was a black key, more specifically in the breast area, something that made Richard blush as he was someone who was never someone who lived with women.

"I have to tell Alan and Paul, " Richard said to himself as he left the room with some clothes to burn to heat the water and others to wear if they got blood on the ones they were wearing. Everything was in a backpack he found in some closets.

This time Richard carefully left the room because he was not familiar with the maze-like corridors and was sure to get lost.

It was at a slow pace that he reached a room where a light box was, he wanted to enter but did not dare after seeing one of those upside down creatures, which was hitting right at the door.
