Benson's POV

"Thanks again, I don't know what I would have done without you ". I muttered out those words as I came down from his car.

"It's nothing, that are what friends are for".he responded with a smile on his face.

"And don't worry about the gift, she would love it "

"I believe so ". I murmured, 

"So you are going back to Australia by tomorrow ?" He asked, 

"Yeah, I have lots of works pilling up for me ". I murmured tiredly.

"I understand, take, this is my number you can call me when you have gotten answers from your aunt and if you need my help "he handed his card to me

"I'll definitely call you ". I took the card from him, 

"Goodbye Benson"

"Bye Jacob".

He flash me a weak smile before driving off.

I hissed in relief and walk into the house.

I walk in and could perceive the sweet aroma coming from the kitchen.

"Dad?" Lilly shouted from the kitchen

"Yes princess it's me ". I rushed to my room and kept the bag on my bed, I don't want her to realize I was getting the gift for Jesse now.

I walk to the kitchen and saw everyone was in the kitchen helping out with the preparation of the food.

"Where were you, dad ?" Lilly asked while staring at me with her two bulky eyes.

"I went for a walk ". I lied, 

Mrs Sonia stared at me with a look I knew she knew that I was lying.

"Miss Jesse will soon be here, have you kept her gift by the tree ?" She asked, 

"No, but I'll do that now ". I did not let those words finish from my mouth before I left the kitchen.

I got to my room and pick up the already wrapped gift and walk back to the sitting room.

I got to the sitting room and kept the gift where other gifts were kept.

I checked the time I see as it was few minutes pass 12pm and within an hour Jesse will be here.

I hissed in frustration and went back to the kitchen and stood by the door, 

"What can I help with ". I asked 

"Nothing, we are almost done". Mrs Sonia spoke up, 

I nod my head and stood by the door as I watch them prepare the dishes.

"You all should go and dress up, there is nothing here to do ". Mrs Sonia spoke up, 

"Yes, I and grandma can do all the work ". Lilly giggled happily.

The three brothers Chuckled Loudly before leaving the kitchen.

I hissed softly and left the kitchen to my room.

I got to my room and Lay on my bed with my back.

I hissed and closed my eyes in relief, I just can't wait for all this to be over.

I just can't wait to be in Australia and unravel all these things that have been happening in my life.

I lay on the bed for a while before I hissed softly and stood up from the bed.

I walk to the bathroom and took a quick bath before stepping into my room.

I open my closet and brought out a black jean and a white turtle-neck long sleeve.

I put on the clothes and gently combed my hair before spraying some cologne on my body.

I stared at myself in the mirror and noticed I was looking good, despite the lack of smile on my face.

I hissed in relief before picking up my camera and left the room.

I got into the room and noticed no one was in the sitting room yet.

I was about going to Lilly's room to check on her when I heard the bell ringing.

"That should be Jesse”. I murmured to myself.

I took in a deep breath and made my way to the door.

I opened the door and met Jesse smiling at me with a big smile on her face.

I felt my whole body melt in her smile and I became intoxicated by her that I didn't know I was staring until she clears her throat.

"Can I come in ?".those words brought me out from my daydream

"Yes yes, come in". I move aside and allowed her in.

"This is beautiful ".she murmured those words while staring at the Christmas lights and balls.

"Miss Jesse is here ". Lilly giggled happily and ran up to Jesse who gave her a tight hug, 

"Merry Christmas my dear Lilly ".she whispered those words while placing kisses on Lilly's face.

"A very merry Christmas to you, miss Jesse". Lilly giggled happily and pull miss Jesse into the sitting room.

I followed them to the sitting and stood at a corner watching them in their cheerful conversation.

The sight was pleasing to me, and especially the way Lilly was very happy talking to her.

"Nice scene to watch, right ?" Derrick whispered behind me.

I hissed and roll my eyes before walking away.

I walked into the sitting room and sat opposite Lilly and Jesse, 

I took a better look at her and noticed how beautiful she looks.

She was wearing a tight short red dress that stopped at her knees, a sliver hill shoes and a long silver earrings and necklace.

She did a light makeup on her face and poured her hair that fell on her shoulder, indeed she was incredibly beautiful.

I stared at her and wondered how a woman this is this beautiful and talented could still be single in a time like this.

She met my gaze and I quickly look away.

I look else, making sure my gaze doesn't fall on her.

In a few minutes, everyone was in the sitting room having a cheerful conversation, but I wasn't with them.

My body was seated in the sitting room with them, but my mind was somewhere.

Firstly, it was Jesse, and how I knew I was in love with her, and then it was the mysteries in my life and how anxious I am to unravel it.

"What's your opinion, Benson?". I noticed Everyone staring at me, 

"Opinion about what ". I asked, confused.

"Dad, you weren't paying attention ". Lilly murmured, 

I hissed and roughly ran my fingers in my hair.

"Never mind, I think it's time will check our gifts ". Mrs Sonia muttered out those words and stood up from the couch.

"Yeah". Lilly exclaims happily and followed Mrs Sonia to the Christmas tree, 

I hissed softly and stood up from the couch, 

"This will be a long day ". I murmured to myself.
