(18)The battle part 1

Sapphires POV:

I woke up happy, but that quickly disappeared when I realized what today would consist of. War. I sighed but got up and unwrapped myself from Ephinus's wings and picked up my sword, slipping it through my belt.

I looked around at Adaline, Alex, and lastly Ria. I then woke them all up. I hoped on Ephinus and we all took off to the sky. I ended up dozing off since it was like 5:30 am.

~A couple of hours later~

"Hey wake up" I heard a girlie voice say. I muttered a "5 more minutes" and swatted at them. The voice giggled and all of a sudden I'm dropped in water from head to toe.

I just got up and glare at Adaline who was whistling and looking around. I sighed and walked up onto the island. I looked around and guessed we stopped to take a rest.

"What is going on here" I announce when I find Alex and Ria arguing in the woods. They both looked at me like deer caught in headlights.

I chuckled but held my straight face. Alex looked down while Ria spoke. "We were just talking about how she needs to come back to her rightful home.

With me, since I am her sister an-" she was cut off by Alex scoffing and rolling her eyes. "Please, that is not my home, the lord kicked me out remember?

Of course, you don't! You're too busy with the lord's eldest son. I refused his offer because of my beliefs in love only to get slapped in the face when my sister runs off and mates with the sicko.

"I got my beautiful wings scorched trying to save you from having me taken away from you, I was your only family and I wanted you to live with your real family, not your fake one. But no the day I disappear you chose to mate with the Lord's eldest instead of running to find me. I guess I gave up my rare wings for nothing" Alex said while crying she then disappeared in a flash of black light.

Ria sighed and dropped to the ground with her head held low. "You know I didn't want to mate with him. I was forced, the Lord said I would never see Alex again if I didn't. Then after, the lord wouldn't even let me look for her, and I was stuck because I was mated to his eldest" she said while looking up at me.

I sighed and hugged her after she stood up. "I know that now, but Alex doesn't. You need to tell her not me" she nodded but then looked me in the eyes once more. "I will tell her after this war. I promise" I nodded at her and started walking back when I heard a twig snap.

I pushed Ria behind me. Then a wolf and a unicorn come padding out. Well, the unicorn is prancing around in circles around the wolf while the wolf just rolls its eyes and looks straight at me, and nods.

I nod back confused. They both walk behind trees. The first to come out was the wolf. She had blue-green eyes and black hair.

She also had navy blue wings which confused me. The next one to come out had light blue eyes and purple hair. They both looked kinda like, I'm assuming sisters.

"Hey I'm Camila, I am here to help as well as my sister. I am a wolf shifter as well as a fallen angel" the first girl said. "My name is Shadow, I am a unicorn, pegasus, and wolf shifter. I know awesome right!" the second one said while jumping up and down excited.

"I'm guessing she's the crazy hyper one?" Ria asked. Camila nodded her head and rolled her eyes. We all then head back to where we were resting.

We then introduced Camila and Shadow to everyone. And at last, we sleep! I climbed close to Ephinus and as he wrapped his wings around me I fell asleep.

~at 5:00 am~

I woke up with the sun shining into my eyes. I groan and flipped over. "Hey sleepyhead, get up and come eat breakfast like every normal person!" a voice said right in my ear.

I groan again and unwrapped myself from Ephinus's warm wings. I walk over to where everyone is sitting around a big fire and eating a weird-looking omelet thing.

I sit down and take a bite of one. "Mmmmmm" I moan as I taste it. "Oh, my, who made these!" I asked with wide eyes eating the whole thing at once.

"I did silly now jump on that dragon of yours and let's get going!" Shadow yelled excitedly. I did as she asked and soon enough we were in the air.

Camila was on Shadow's back, and shadow was flying in her pegasus form. I leaned back looking at the beautiful pinks and purples of the morning sky. Soon that sky will be filled with the stench of blood.

I sighed and sat back up.

Sooner or later we made it back to Adaline's house so she could get her pack together and move.

I will be flying in the air with Ria and Alex and watching out for any upcoming threats while everyone else is in wolf form and running to me and Sapphirias house in Iceland.

~3 hours and 56 minutes later~

We finally made it to Iceland. As we were heading to my house I got a call on my phone from my mom. (MG-moon goddess, S- sapphire)

MG- hey sweetheart!

S-hello mother why are you calling

MG-i just wanted to inform you that I will be taking baby Storm to my home while you battle

S-thanks so much! Bye love you!

MG- your welcome, goodbye love you too1

And with that, we hung up. I sighed, one less life to worry about. We neared my house and landed.

Sapphiria stormed out and tackled me. I laughed and hugged her. We both stood. "So how has the recruiting went?" she questioned.

How did she know? Oh, yea mom probably told her. "Good so far"

~three days later~

We had finally got Zacks pack and my old pack that had joined Zacks temporarily, to help us and plus all of our closest friends.

With Zacks pack and our friends, it put us with 520 people. We added Adaline's pack in and that made it come to over 3,000.

Then mother sent a help that got us to our goal. 5,000 people. Today is the day we battle for my mate and other people trapped in that rouge house.

We started to march towards it. The closer we got the more nervous we got. We finally made it to the bushes and shifted.

I yelled in everyone's mind, 'Attack'. We charged at the house and started fighting and tearing apart shifter after shifter.

Me using my divine sword to cut off people's heads as we went. Once we got inside I caught the scent of my mate Skylar and an old friend. Jake.
