2. True Love Until Death

Tristan is just an ordinary human being who has a hobby of traveling and was once lost in this Black Forest, he lived alone. Even though he's just an ordinary human, Tristan has the courage of a knight. His face didn't show the slightest fear, even though he knew death was right in front of his eyes.

When Alice arrived, Tristan was already tied up by his hands hanging from a tree in the middle of the forest shirtless. Even so, his handsome face could still smile when he saw Alice's arrival.

"Alice, look at me. Your lover will fight for our love until death comes," Tristan shouted.

"Tristan, I beg you to change your mind, I just want to see you alive," Alice replied.

"Don't talk too much, quickly whip him!" commanded the Alpha King who was already standing tall.

"Good."

The execution began, first, a well-built soldier took a whip made of rattan. Without another word, the soldier immediately whipped Tristan with a heartless whip.

Tristan's face was visible as he endured excruciating pain when the rattan hit his body, but he didn't scream in pain at all. Instead, Tristan kept smiling while looking at Alice's face which was already pale white.

"Stop!! Please stop all this. Hey you guys, I'm Alice, Alpha's daughter. Shouldn't you obey my orders?" cried Alice. But no one listened to him because all control was in the hands of the Alpha King.

Every time the whipping sound was heard, Alice screamed as she struggled to free herself. It wasn't she who was receiving the torment, but still, she could feel Tristan's pain. Her heart shattered into pieces seeing the person she loved being tortured in front of her own eyes.

"Father, I beg of you, please don't hurt Tristan. You'd better kill me than you torture the person I love in front of my own eyes," Alice groaned with tears in her eyes.

"Those tears won't be able to change the existing rules," Alpha replied.

"Not!! Don't hurt Alpha, just kill me," Alice cried bitterly. "Don't hurt Tristan,"

Twenty lashes had landed on Tristan's body, now fresh blood was running down his back. His strength was almost drained from enduring the pain from each lash.

"Stop all this cruelty, please stop. I'll do whatever you tell me to, as long as you let Tristan go, I beg you," Alice again begged for mercy from her father. But the Alpha King didn't budge at all, seeing people being tortured like that was normal for him.

"It's too late," said the Alpha King.

Alice looked back at Tristan who was in a very poor condition now, his eyes were half-closed with the sweat dripping down his handsome face mixed with the blood that was already rushing down his body. Tristan's back was now covered with red bruises from the lashes.

Alice's heart broke to see her, she kept cursing herself. If she hadn't fallen in love with Tristan, maybe now Tristan wouldn't have endured this kind of suffering. Alice fell in love with Tristan after they met several times, Tristan struggled to be able to meet him, besides that Tristan is also a man who is good at making women comfortable beside him. Seeing all the struggles and sacrifices Tristan has made, Alice finally falls in love with Tristan. That feeling just came uncontrollably, until Alice forgot her destiny as a werewolf who was forbidden to fall in love with ordinary humans, she should have known from the start that her love would bring disaster to Tristan.

Right on his 50th whip, Tristan had lost all his strength, even his legs were no longer able to stand up.

"Cut the rope, he'll be dead in a moment," the Alpha King ordered.

Sure enough, when the rope that bound Tristan's hands was cut, his sturdy and stout body fell to the ground. Tristan lay helplessly with blood still flowing all over his body.

"Tristan!!!!" cried Alice. "Let go of me, I want to see Tristan one last time."

"Just let her go, after all the human is dead," said Alpha King.

As soon as her hand was released, Alice immediately ran to the center of the field to approach Tristan, hoping that Tristan could still be saved.

"Tristan, Tristan, wake up. It's me, I'm by your side," Alice groaned, then she immediately carried Tristan into her lap, she didn't care if Tristan's blood-stained her clothes.

"Tristan, don't leave me like this. Tristan, I'm sorry... It's my fault, I shouldn't have loved you, maybe none of this would have happened. Tristan… I'm sorry," Alice cried hysterically, tears streaming down Tristan's face. She caressed her lover's face lovingly.

Unexpectedly Tristan opened his eyes slowly, apparently, he can still feel the caress of his lover even though he is on the verge of death.

"Tristan..."

"Alice… It's not your fault, it's our destiny," Tristan stammered.

"No, Tristan. We can change this destiny, you must stay by my side."

"Alice, don't cry. Trust me that our love will last forever, Maybe now the universe has not united us but in the next life, we will be reunited and united. Goodbye my love, see you in life… Next," Tristan said, his voice low almost inaudible.

"Tristan… Don't leave me!!!" cried Alice. She cried hysterically as she hugged Tristan's body which was already stiff. Tears streamed down Tristan's face, which had been closed for good.

A few moments later, Alice got up while wiping her tears. She stood facing where Alpha was standing, looking at her with a look of rage and anger like an eagle stalking its prey.

"Hi, Alpha, I know that you are doing all this because you are a king, and I also know that this has become an absolute rule for the Werewolf nation, and I admit that I have broken it. But I don't think I can live without Tristan because I love him, I also know that Tristan and I will never be together. So, I will choose to go with Tristan, I want to always be with him." Alice said her last words before She took out the small knife she always carried just in case.

"Alice, what are you going to do?" undeniably, the Alpha King was surprised and slightly frightened because after all, Alice was his flesh and blood.

"See how this child of yours will die before your own eyes." without fear, Alice slashed the vein in her hand quickly, Then she stabbed the knife right in her own heart. Immediately the blood poured out profusely without being able to prevent it, she endured extreme pain. But it turned out that this pain was nothing compared to the pain she felt when she saw Tristan being tortured. Before long, Alice collapsed right beside Tristan covered in blood, but her face showed incomparable happiness that she could be with the person she loved.

"Alice!!!!" Alpha shouted. "Quick help her!!"

Some who have originally swept away in shock also ran to help Alice, but unfortunately, Alice was dead.
