Chapter # 24

Both hands of the fat man dropped and he started to scream in pain. Then I thrusted a dagger in his throat and his lifeless body fell on the spot. This alerted the surrounding guards and employes. They all lunged at me, but I was too much for them.

I used shadow snare and thunderous steps and started to kill the people one by one. Now they were scared and started running here and there. But I became merciless and killed them all as I remembered Aana holding me and crying.

After a moment, there was now a scene of silence. The blood of my victims was dripping from my daggers and the slaves were also terrified. Suddenly, Grim started to absorb the souls of the fallen and said to me, "What had gotten into you eh? You were killing them like a merciless monster. Well, not that I am complaining though".

There were 10 people that I killed and the counter reached from 50 to 80. Then I started to approach Aana's cage. I opened it and went inside. Aana was looking at me with closed eyes. Aana was also a special person as she could use her talent from birth. As it was basically a replacement for her eyesight.

She saw right through me and saw the love, devotion and affection that I had for her. She started to cry a little and I ran towards her, crouched down and placed my hand on her cheek. She thought, "Why... Why this person has such emotion towards me. Does he

know me? Nobody, not even my parents loved me and every body that I saw just wanted to use me. But, why this person has so much love for me inside his heart?" I said in a worried tone, "Aana, what's the matter, why are you crying?". She replied while wiping her tears, "Nothing, it's nothing... I am fine".

She thought, "His touch... It has such a warm and nice feeling". I suddenly noticed that she was resting her head on my hand. I just moved by instinct and just now realized that I was a total stranger to her. I then quickly jolted backwards while blushing a little.

I said, "Aana, don't worry. Now the guards will be coming at any moment and they will safely escort you to your family". I was about to leave the cell when suddenly Aana stopped me and said, "Well, the thing is that...".

I replied, "You don't have any parents?". She nodded in the negative and then I said, "If that's not it then...". She knew that I guessed it right and I put an angry expression on my face and said, "Those... Can they call themselves parents when they sold out their daughter like that!". (I was just messing with her. I already knew everything about her).

She flustered and said, "Don't worry mister. Can you just leave me at an orphanage". I again bent down and grabbed her hand and said, "Well, it is not right to send such a talented and beautiful girl at an orphanage". She blushed a little but didn't move away from me. As she knew that I don't hold any ill intentions towards her. Only pure love.

Then I stood up and said, "Aana, can you trust me?". She nodded and then we left her cage and I started to approach the princess's cage. I left my daggers and my blood- stained cloak outside and entered her cell

She was still in one corner in the same position as I told her. I touched her hand and she opened her eyes. I asked her, "Princess, are you all right?". She nodded but she still couldn't stand or walk due to the electric shocks.

She said, "Mister, did my father sent you?" Then suddenly she noticed my mauve eyes

and said, "No, you are the prince..." I suddenly placed my hand over her lips and whispered, "Please princess, cooperate with me"

She nodded and I removed my hand. She still couldn't move so I had to hold her in my arms. She blushed a little and thought, "He is almost the same age as me, but he is so strong". I said to her, "Princess, please close your eyes". She did it and I left her cage.

Aana was a bit surprised at me holding Sophia in my arms but didn't show it. I picked up my daggers and said, "Everybody, don't worry! The guards will arrive at any moment and they will sa fely escort you back to their families" I said that and left with Aana and Sophia.
