"But… there is this other thing, it happened more recently that you should know about… but I think you already figured it out since I have been acting weird before…" Kather continued as she looked away from me, thinking of how she wanted to explain everything to me.

"What did you lie to me about?" I asked with curiosity as I took a sip from my own drink.

"About my feelings, and the man who I dated right before meeting you…" Kather explained to me as she placed her hand on top of hers again.

"You mean Gabriel?" I ask as I furrow my brows a bit.

"Yes. Though I think you already know about that anyway." Kather answered as she nodded her head.

I don't remember her mentioning him in any of the conversations we have had until the point where I found that info myself earlier in the day.

"What about Gabriel?" I asked again.
