Undead Hunt

Kur came back to the Druid world after his 7 hours. Since he has the power to summon his minions, as long as they aren't on a scheme, he left them in his [Workshop] and walked through the door.

On the other side he saw the sun just breaking over the horizon. It was a dazzling sight. Not only was it red and orange, but streaks greens and purples. If anyone could see under his suit they would see him awestruck by the sight.

"Never gets old does it?"

Kur turned to the voice to see Yimi. She looked much more refreshed. She also had a small brown bag on both hips, one being a water skin.

"This is one of the reasons I became a Druid." She spoke not turning her gaze from the sunrise. "No matter how many times I see this I never get tired of it. On normal planets you could never get a view like this. With all the light pollution and skyscrapers needed to house everyone, this is a rare sight for the universe."

"It truly is beautiful. I've never seen anything like this before" Kur spoke softly, not wanting to ruin the moment.

The two remained silent for half an hour just watching the sunrise. Kur was being honest. He never saw anything like this in his past life. He was excited for his new life and all the new things he would see and experience!

After their half an hour Yimi was the first to speak. "As much as I'd like to stay here al day we really need to head out. Who knows if there is any undead still alive out there or if they've gotten stronger."

Kur nodded his head and the two jumped and slide down the side of the wall. They used their hands to scrap the side to control their speed. What he found slightly odd was that Zak or any other Druid showed up to see them off. What he didn't know was everyone had conflicted thoughts regarding Kur.

Many Druids thought he was a Sentient. A machine with life or false life as they call it. They hated Sentients the most, but Kur had saved them all. Without his Minions they would have been killed and turned into undead. Another false life entity. They were conflicted and didn't know how to treat Kur, so they simply ignored him. Yimi was already taking care of Kur and Zak was actually the one handling the rest of the Druids problems.

Once the two made it to the ground Yimi lead the way. She was fast, managing to run over 30 mph, but Kur quickly noticed he actually had so slow his pace! If she was fully spiriting than he was speed walking. He realized just how powerful his Kur suit was. So as they ran Kur decided to make small talk to hopefully get more information from Yimi.

"Again I'm sorry for causing any issue between you and the COS. Did everything go smoothly? I didn't see their ship when they arrived." Kur spoke in a concerned tone hoping Yimi would give up any information she had.

She bit her lip and breathed in before she spoke. "It's complicated" she spoke like she was still thinking what to sat. "They did arrive, but quickly left when we told them the situation. They informed us that they would come back with an extermination team to take care of any undead."

She paused and side eyed Kur. "Regarding you. They've said nothing. I'm not sure if the information about you spread all the way out here, or higher ups in the COS have kept a lid on the information."

Kur nodded his head and didn't say a word. The two ran, speed walked, for another 2 hours. It was a bizarre sight for Kur. He had seen that beautiful sunrise, but the land itself was dead. The trees were withered and dead, grass was grey and dying and there was no animals. It was eerie and quiet. It was like he was making his way through a haunted forest from a horror movie. He was half expecting to fight some undead, but there was nothing, Which caused him to be even more on edge.

After another half hour of running Yimi was the first to slow down and catch her breath. She couldn't run full speed like that forever. She clicked her tongue while looking at Kur. She was jealous of him, assuming he was a Sentient. He could keep running forever without a break, but she needed one. She found a dead log that could support her weight and sat down.

She pulled out her waterskin and took a big gulp of water. The water inside was a special alchemic creation made by the Druids. It's infused with Life elements and would help one recover stamina quicker. This was one of the ways Druids could farm more than anyone else in the universe. While Yimi rested Kur stood guard. He raised his hand and summoned his Bigsky Minions.

Yimi's eyes bulged as she saw what Kur was doing. Before Kur a purple and blue swirling portal materialized. It was 3ft tall and 2ft wide and only .5 inch thick. She had heard of teleportation circles before, but those were only used on COS military planets! Not only that, but they required millions of voltage just to teleport from one side of the planet. For anything more would require unfathomable amount of energy.

That was just the energy requirements! She couldn't even think of the material and mana stones needed to create such a machine. Yet before her eyes Kur was simply creating one like it was nothing! She couldn't imagine how powerful Kur actually was. He had to at least broken a Soul Chain. She sat there in awe and watched 2 drones fly out of the portal.

They looked like weird helicopter/plane hybrids.

"Bigsky's. I want you to create a large scouting perimeter around us. Stay at an altitude of 20,000 feet and keep an eye out for any undead. I want to be told when and where they are found. I want to eliminate every undead we can find."

The two Bigsky Minions peeped happily as they took off. Their powerful rotors swept up a small dust cloud causing Yimi to cough violently. Her rob fluttered in the wind as the 2 Bigsky Minions took off. "Cough. You. Cough. Could have warned me" her voice squeaked out between coughs.

"Ah. Sorry about that" Kur didn't noticed the dust thanks to his suit. "How much longer do you need to rest? My minions can stay active for a couple days before they need to recharge."

Yimi was taken about by the jab at her. "I only need another 10 minutes and then we can get going. We aren't all machines like you tin head."

Kur tilted his head. 'Tin head' he thought to himself. Does she think I'm a machine? Well I guess I can use that to my advantage.' "My apologizes. I forget others need to breath."

Not wanting to anger Kur, Yimi just shrugged and let it go. Sentients didn't grow up they were just born with information, but without the culture of growing and learning. So she let it go. She was one of the few Druids on the planet that didn't inherently hate machines or Sentients. As Kur stood watch she pulled out 4 small brown pills from her pouch and popped them into her mouth. She felt her hunger go away from the pill.

She just ate a [Satiated Pill] Another alchemic item that could keep ones stomach full for an entire day. There are many pills like this. They are mainly used by the COS military to keep their soldiers full and ready to fight, but higher ranked cultivators require more. Even though Yimi is at the Core Formation level she had to eat a lot more than others. If the [Satiated Pill] could fill a normal persons stomach for a day it would only fill hers for an hour. She planned to offer Kur some, but decided against it. He was a Sentient after all.

Just as Yimi was ready to head back out towards the Druid Library Kur stopped her. He had gotten a message from one of his Bigsky.

It had found a dozen undead still alive. A video feed was sent straight to his visor. He was surprised he could see what his Bigsky's could see. He could see miles around where the two were and could even see both views of his minions at the same time.

"There are 12 undead roughly 100 miles from here. They all in a full sprint heading west towards something. Are you okay taking a detour to eliminate them?"

"Heading west?" She asked "that's where we are heading. The only thing out there is some storages for food and our planet's capital. It's also where our library is."

This peaked Kur's interest. "Them let's go get them."

"100 miles away? It'll take us an hour to catch up and who knows how fast they can move till we actually reach them?!?" Yimi exclaimed. She was already running full speed. They would lose them by the time they got close to their previous location.

"Oh. That's fine I can carry you" before Yimi could protest she was picked up in Kur's arms and held like a princess. "Hold on tight" were the last words he said before he took off in an actual full sprint! Yimi tried to scream from the sudden burst of energy, but her voice was silent.

Kur was running so fast Yimi could barely breath and had to tuck her head into his chest just to breath! She was astonished by his speed and power. She truly thought he had to be a machine to be able to do run like this. And a machine, again, who has broken at least 1 Soul Chain.

It only them 25 minutes to reach the undead. Kur had to change his directly only slightly to catch up to them.

Kur decided to stay 5000ft away from the undead. He wanted to test out everything. He set Yimi down and began to summon his Juggernaut's. A huge grin appeared on his face. ready for some action.
