Chapter 36- New President!

Ayanokoji POV

The school held a general election to decide who would be in charge of the next student council, of course it was between Kageyama and nagumo miyabi the two vice presidents of this school.

Immediately after the election concluded, the school ushered in the handover ceremony of the student council. It was a large-scale event that gathered students from the entire school to the gymnasium. However, for most of the first year students, it was a very uneventful experience. They were drowsy, but they were attempting to keep quiet and slow their breathing so the teachers and upperclassmen wouldn't notice them.

"Now, here are some final remarks from president Horikita of the student council."

Following the moderator's speech, Horikita Manabu slowly approached the microphone on the stage.

If it was the Horikita from before, the younger one I mean, just seeing her brother on stage would probably make her cower.

But now, as she watched over her brother's resignation, she was staring at him with a firm look.

"I am proud and grateful to have been able to lead the student council for almost two years. Thank you very much."

After his brief statement, Horikita's brother quietly retreated and returned to his original position.

There were no moving words in his speech. It could be said that it was a solemn and dutiful statement.

However, it does not look like the retirement ceremony will end with just this.

The student council officers on the stage with him stood firm, not breaking their solid posture.

And now finally came the time.

"With that we will now announce the new president that will take over after Manubu Horikita who has worked so hard for you all."

At the stage I could all the student council members, ichinose was there stood still with a smile, I looked at the two students who competed for the president seat and today they would get their answers.

Miyabi Nagumo who stood there confident and smirking while Yuta Kageyama, a classmate of mine stood calmly without showing any expression.

Did he lose? Hm…. No he didn't, he's planned something didn't he? That means it's his win.

"Now! Announcing the new president of Advanced Nurturing High School, please welcome Yuta Kageyama who has won the election with 406 votes against 74 votes."

That's quite a big margin….

As soon as kageyama's name was announced I could see nagumo-senpai's smirk fade away as he stood in shock.

I observed others reaction too, the older horikita smiled along with some seniors in the student council, ichinose looked at Kageyama warmly, I could see our classmates happy, people like ryuen was smirking.

Kageyama, then walked forward and stood in front of the microphone.

"I am Yuta Kageyama of first year's class A. President Horikita, I really appreciate your hard work until now. I am honoured to have been selected as the first year student you have picked. I am thankful for being able to accompany with you till your end as the student council president."

Saying that Yuta bowed deeply in the direction of the older horikita and then re-faced the students.

He must respect manubu horikita huh?

"I'll introduce myself again, I am Yuta Kageyama, the new student council president of Advanced Nurturing High School, please take care of me." He said with a smile as everyone clapped, he then walked off from the microphone.

Seems he didn't have anything to say.

Well after awhile the sophomore year which was us left the gym hall. More than that right now, I'm heading at the back of the school building.

Why? Because my classmate Maya Satou has called me out and I can feel someone tailing behind from me.

Kageyama POV

"Yo senpai~" I said with a smile as he looked at me.

"Kageyama? What is it?" He asked as I chuckled.

"Well what I wanna say is it was a honour working alongside you." I said to him as I put my hand up.

"I see, well keep up the good work." He said and shook my hand with a smile.

As he walked away I then saw nagumo walking towards me.

"Yo, vice-president nagumo. Anything you need from me?" I asked with a smirk.

"How did you do it?" He asked with a angry expression as I feigned if ignorance.

"What do you mean?" I asked he gritted his teeth.

"Fuh~ well whatever this is your win. I'll take care of you in the next exam, president Kageyama, I'll crush both you and horikita-san." He said with a smirk and walked away.

The reason I had more votes than nagumo is simple. I just used sharingan to put some students in genjutsu to vote for me.

Anyway back to the class, the main parts for coming up soon.

Class A

"Congratulations Kageyama-kun." My classmates said as I entered the class.

"Thank you guys." I said with a smile.

"Ain't this cool? We got a president in our class." Ike said with a smirk as the others chuckled.

While people started crowding around me hirata clapped his hands.

"Now, now guys I know you guys are excited but please give some space to Kageyama-kun." He said as I nodded in thanks.

I then went to my seat.

"Congrats, Kageyama." Ayanokoji said as I nodded thanks.

"I hope you won't disappoint nii-san." Horikita said with a serious expression as I chuckled.

"Don't worry I don't plan to." I said to her as she nodded, with that the three of us made some few conversations before Chabashira-sensei entered the class.

"Alright to your seats, todays discussion will be a bit serious." Chabashira-sensei said with a stern expression.

"The finals exams are coming up soon." She said as students with low grades shrieked in fear.

"But this time the school decided to make the finals exams to a special exam as well."

"What!?"

"Just let it be normal!"

Students complained as Chabashira-sensei sighed, even though the class may have gone up in the rankings but they still remained like children.

"Well this exam will be called 'Paper Shuffle'." Hehe~ finally soon the professor will come to the school.

"I'll explain the rules for this exam." She said as she passed the guidance for this special exam.

"This will be a pair-based exam where both participants are given 50 questions on each eight subjects for the total of 400 questions. All subjects will have a minimum standard of 60 points. The Paper Shuffle will have a span of two days, where students take four exams per day." Chabashira-sensei explained firmly as the others nodded.

"Will the pairings be random or will we get to choose?" Hirata asked as Chabashira-sensei shook her head.

"The pairings will be determined by a quiz exam at the last week of October since the finals exams will be around November." Chabashira-sensei said as hirata nodded.

"The quiz exam will be a mock exam which will have no influence on your grades but I advise you to take it seriously." Chabashira-sensei said as the other students nodded.

Well the partners will be formed in a balanced combination. For example, horikita and sudo will work out and if it's horikita and me that won't work out.

"Sensei, as I read the guidelines, does it mean we can attack another class with chosen questions of our own?" Horikita asked as Chabashira-sensei.

"That's right, you'll make questions for the other class and attack at them while the other class defends, its vice-versa." She said as horikita nodded, I saw kushida looking at me as if saying 'I wanna go crazy in this special exam!' as I chuckled.

"What!?" Ike shouted alongside with yamauchi.

"Then aren't we cooked?"

"Not necessarily." Hirata said as he read the guidelines.

"It says that the school will compare the overall grades on the finals between the two classes, and the class that wins will receive a total of 50 Class Points from the losing class." Hirata said as the others sighed in reassurance.

"And there's a case where the exam becomes a direct match between two classes then the wager will be temporarily set to 100 instead of 50. But if the total score is the same in the end, the result will be a tie and there won't be any change in the number of points." Hirata said as others nodded.

"We'll discuss amongst yourselves." Chabashira-sensei said as many turned towards me.

"W-what?" I asked a bit taken aback.

"What do you think we should do Kageyama-kun?" Kushida asked with a smile as the others nodded.

"Well which class would you want to attack the most?" I asked as the others wondered.

"What if we attacked class D? Wouldn't that be in our advantage after all they got fewer students than us." Ike said with a smile as others nodded while kushida's composure broke that was not a good sign for her.

"Hm, if I may speak." Horikita said as I nodded and others looked.

"Till now we were constantly aimed by Ryuen-kun's class. How about we attack class C?" She asked as the others thought.

"Yeah I think that wouldn't be bad and if we win that would surely bring him down!" Sudo said with a smirk.

"And considering ryuen-kun, he would probably attack us." Hirata said with a nod. That would be true considering ryuen would even want to find out about the mastermind.

"Then I guess it's decided that we'll attack class C, right?" I asked again as everyone nodded as we looked at Chabashira-sensei nodded with a chuckle.

"Well I guess I'll take your word early then later." She said and walked out the class as first period started.
