Entering The Miasmic Nest

I know it might sound corny, some might think its unnecessary, but I had to do it anyways.
It is just who I am, I can't be cold, I can't bring myself to look at another person's life and think they have to serve me or something.
I feel sorry about their situation even if they seem to be happy…
Because even then, they had suffered, and almost died a second time due to my negligence.
And that's why I've made up my resolve, I will protect and guide these people.
"I summoned your souls without your permission," I said. "Yeah, you might have died before, but still… Maybe you could have had a different second life, a better one. I pretty much took that chance away from you, and dragged you into this mess, into my problems… For that, I am deeply sorry. I'll do my best to at least… give you the best life I can."
The two stared at me blankly for a moment, before they gave me their answers.
