Reincarnated into Chrono Trigger [OLD]

The MC is an avid Chrono Trigger fan, who just so happens to beat every ending. Upon doing so, he wants to better himself. He steps outside to be immediately hit in the head by a TV. "Whelp... At least I tried." Sighing, he finds himself in another place entirely. *** I noticed that there aren't any Chrono Trigger novels, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I obviously don't own Chrono Trigger, and I don't own the cover picture. I did re-color it though, that took a while.

6] What did they think was going to happen?

(Zero POV, Sleeping quarters of the new trainees)

It's currently 4 AM, and here I am. Everyone is sleeping so peacefully, but today marks the seventh day of their carelessness.

I open the door loudly.

Zero- "Rise and shine Shitheads! You have a LOT to work on!" Only a couple of people wake up, only to immediately try and go to sleep.

This causes my anger to flare slightly. I grab my brand new wooden katana, and approach one of the people who went back to sleep.

"You think this is a game? Well, time to lose a lot of HP." I whack him in the stomach hard enough to break my weapon. The sound is loud enough to wake up anybody within two beds of this guy, and the groaning coming from him is even worse.

Failure 1- "What is the deal? Why are you waking us up this early, brat?" The boy from a while ago spoke up, thinking that he scared me away last time.

Zero- "The deal is, it's time to train. Don't worry it'll be fun." 'For me.' Failure 1 gets up in my face, trying to intimidate me.

Failure 1- "Well, I think it'll be more fun to teach YOU the less-" I use [Focus Point] and palm strike his chest, causing him to be sent flying. I walk up to him, grabbing my second wooden katana. The fear in his eyes isn't enough yet, it's mostly confusion.

He weakly stands up, holding his chest. I swing and hit his knees, causing him to topple over.

Zero- "I've always wondered how the potions look when they took effect, I guess it's time to see." I proceed to beat the crap out of Failure 1, leaving him with an inch of his life.

Failures 2-14 are all awake now, and I bet they were the moment I started beating Failure 1. I look to Failure 2 with a cold expression.

"Go get some potions, I think they will be necessary." I toss a bag of 200Gs to Failure 2, and he just looks at the bag with a confused expression.

Seeing his reaction, I throw my wooden katana and it hits him right on the forehead. I grab the bag and toss it to Failure 3.

"You better get potions before you end up like Failure 1 and 2." Failure 3 gets the idea and books it. When I see this, I toss 3 wooden throwing knifes. They each hit him in the back of the head, and he gets knocked out.

"You forgot something, something very important." I pick up the bag of money and toss it at Failure 4.

"You will address me as sir. Whenever spoken to, you will answer with either YES SIR or ON IT SIR!" I walk up to Failure 4 and look up to stare into his eyes.

"Now, go buy potions."

F4- "Y-YES SIR!" He then turns around and runs out of the room at full speed. An evil smile makes it's way upon my face.

Zero- "As for the rest of you, it's time for training." I and up forcing them to do a hundred push ups, and if they stop for more than five seconds they get beaten and have to start over.

Failure 4 comes back 10 minutes later, and I do some quick maths to figure how long he should have taken. He seems to have come back pretty quickly, so I won't punish him.

"Ah, someone who follow orders. Welcome back number 4, you only have to do 80 push ups in a row." He looks at me with a confused expression for just a second.

#4- "Yes sir!" He walks jogs over to where the others are, and begins his push ups. He gets through about 30 before collapsing, although he continues and pushes through the pain. He gets to 50 before he can't move.

Zero- "Tch, weak. Number 4, take a minute break." He weakly responds, probably too tired to make it coherent. The other failures notice how I'm treating Number 4, and they begin to work harder.

After a couple hours, someone manages to do a hundred pushups in a row.

"Great job, now you can work on the next segment. Running around this field one thousand times." I motion along a path that I made with a stick, with a line at the start.

The sun starts to go down, and most of the failures didn't get past the first section of the training. Six people made it to the track, and that includes Failure 4.

I tell that at 10:00 PM that it's time for bed, and they start heading to their sleeping quarters to only find it locked. A smile makes it's way on my face.

"You guys are staying out here until you complete the training regimen." So I make them sleep outside, in the forest.

***

2 Months pass, and everybody makes it past the first and second part of training. Of course, as they get easier to accomplish I switch things up. They now have to do a hundred push ups with weights on, and one guy is strong enough to need two hundred pounds to be hindered.

They basically have to live with these weights on, and it's beautiful. After their copious physical training, their final task is to spar with me. I would correct any mistakes they made, while increasing their surviv- I mean combat instincts.

Pretty much every failure has a danger sense, even if it's small enough to just feel uneasy in a dangerous situation.

While they train, I am asking questions to increase their intelligence. Math, physics, scenarios where they might be being manipulated.

If they get it wrong or answer stupidly, their training doubles. Answers that surprise me in a good way, are rewarded with their training cut in half.

Their last obstacle would be fighting against me, and if I give them a passing grade they can go back inside to sleep and take breaks.

I host a sort of tournament every week, and whoever gets first place gets half of their weights removed until the next tournament. Anyone who gets first place three times in a row, gets to be my lieutenant for until they lose their spot.

The lieutenant has to undergo all of the normal training, but they are also a pseudo leader for the group. They get slightly better benefits, and can choose what the group eats.

***

Four months in, and someone finally managed to get a passing grade from me. I dubbed them the first non-failure, and everyone got excited.

Zero- "Your new name is... Krieger One, and your role is that of a Warrior." I explain that he doesn't have to go through as much physical training, and most of the time will be spent learning his role in battle from me.

By month 5, only three failures remained. Failure 4, who I deemed: Fuhrer One, is in charge of their training. F-1 is training them harder than I did, and it shows in their expressions.

I have divided the group into the following classes:

Warrior: 4 (Krieger)

Assassin: 4 (Messer)

Tank: 2 (Panzer)

Leader: 1 (Fuhrer)

They seem to take to their roles pretty well, as I gave them classes that fit them. Also, Fuhrer is more of an intelligence based class. They come up with the strategies, plans, and give commands when I can't.

I will end up posting on this novel every other day, as it is hard to write. But hey, bright side, I'm not dropping it. If you want to read something I'll post almost every day, you can read my other novel. It's called: "A Hero? Me? Not a chance!" It's not getting as much love as this one, but it's easier for me to write.

If you want a lore bit, these two MCs were brothers in their last life.
