The promise to be kept, the fate to be broken (2)

The mountains beside Base Smaoi,

Red, red, red everywhere. The previously snow white mountains now looked like someone dumped entire trucks of red paint on top of the mountains. But, this was not paint. No, this was blood. Blood from 4,50,000 people.

In just one minute after learning to use his powers, Alaukik had murdered all 5 lakh soldiers in cold blood. To him, killing a human was no longer a hard task. It was never a hard task, and now it had just become way, way easier. All he did was walk amongst the army towards the top, where it seemed like the commander was, and everyone around him were just chopped into pieces. Destroying this army to him was similar to mowing grass, all it took was time. And time he had.

On the other hand, Zhi Tsu, who was initially laughing at this madman who wanted to take on an army alone and was gazing down from the top of the mountain, was now petrified in fear. His vice-commander was already dead, and looking at Alaukik making his way towards him made him realise that he would definitely not be spared. And so, he quickly picked up a satellite phone and decided to immediately abandon his army and make a run for it. However, it might have been his bad luck, but the moment he stepped out of his tent, was the moment Alaukik teleported in front of him.

Alaukik, who appeared in front of this man, immediately knew that he was the leader of this army. From the fact that he was the only one inside the tent, along with the slightly different uniform he was donning, meant that he was someone special.

"Hello! Are you the general of this army?" Alaukik asked, as a smile that stretched till his ears appeared on his face.

"You… How are you here? Weren't you just down the- No, no, n-" Dropping down on the ground, Zhi Tsu started crawling backwards away from Alaukik, trying to get away from this man who had just killed an entire army alone.

"Get away from me! Don't come close to me!"

"Aww, come on!" exclaimed Alaukik, as looked towards himself. While to him, it only felt like he was wet, to others, he looked like the devil incarnate. It looked like he had just walked out of a pool of blood, with everything from his hair to his clothes just drenched in blood. That, along with the crazy looking grin he had on his face just made it worse.

"Am I really that dirty?"

"You-you're a strategic class magician! You're an unregistered strategic class magician! Why, why is someone like you here?! No, no, no! This was supposed to be my time!" said Zhi Tsu, as he started to flap around and act like a child throwing a tantrum.

"Have you already gone mad? But I haven't even started yet! Hey! Helloo! You know what? I don't care. I saved you for last because I wanted to torture you, so it doesn't really matter much" Alaukik said, as he bent forward a bit and held Zhi Tsu's hands.

Alaukik slowly sliced off each of Zhi Tsu's fingers, while carefully watching his reaction. Seeing him wail in pain and agony every time he cut off a finger, Alaukik grinned in delight.

"Don't worry, dear general. This is just the beginning! I feel like I can do a lot, lot more than this!"

And as he said that, Alaukik closed his eyes and started to concentrate on his powers, until suddenly, his right eye socket started glowing silver and suddenly, the fingers that were cut off from Zhi Tsu began to go back to his palm, as if time was being reversed. No, time was being reversed. Alaukik had reversed time!

Seeing his fingers reattached to his palm, and the pain vanishing as if it was just a dream, Zhi Tsu couldn't comprehend what was currently happening. On the other hand, seeing what had just happened, Alaukik erupted in joy and thought,

'There's a chance, there's a chance to bring them all back! But, I don't want to kill this dude so early… I guess I can just use the others that are strewn around here.'

And thinking so, Alaukik suddenly waved his hand and teleported two bodies of soldiers who were less … damaged. Making sure Zhi Tsu was still in shock and couldn't move, Alaukik turned towards the two bodies and once again started to focus once again. Trying to connect to what he connected to before, when he 'healed' Zhi Tsu's fingers. And just 30 seconds later, Alaukik started glowing silver again, except this time, his entire body was glowing. And slowly, that silver glow spread towards the two dead soldiers too, and suddenly, their bodies started to heal themselves. Blood, organs and any other parts that fell out of their body began to come back from the battleground and back into their bodies. However, even after healing their bodies completely, the silver glow did not stop, and instead got brighter and brighter until suddenly,

/Deng/

The glow just died out, and Alaukik immediately coughed out blood. Moving towards the men, Alaukik held onto one guy's wrist to check for a pulse, but he realised that his heart was beating. Feeling this, Alaukik erupted in joy! And yet, after waiting for a few minutes, the soldier still didn't move. Even though Alaukik tried moving him, splashing water on his face and various other methods, he didn't wake up. Seeing this, Alaukik didn't give up and once again tried to turn back time. However, this time, the light didn't even last for one second before dying out, and Alaukik started coughing out more blood. Suddenly, an extremely loud voice sounded inside his head,

'The dead cannot be brought back as they were, child. That is a rule that not even the Ancients can disobey. It would be in your best interests to remember this.

'NO! I refuse to accept this! WHY?! Just when I had hope…'' he screamed in his mind, as his expression turned from one of immense rage to that of immense sorrow. However, as he turned around to face Zhi Tsu, his face once again became full of rage.

'It's all his fault. He launched the attack, he has to pay.'

And so, Alaukik slowly made his way to the general, immediately noticed him coming. As if knowing what would happen to him, the general started begging for his life,

"Please, please, great divine being, spare me, spare my life! Please! I-I will never come back here! I will quit the military! Please! Just don't - don't kill me!"

Seeing him kowtow in front of him, Alaukik stood there for a second before bending down and pulling Zhi Tsu's face upwards, so that they could see each other's face.

"You really should have thought of this before you attacked my Base," said Alaukik as he immediately dug out one of Zhi Tsu's eyes.

"I think I will be keeping these. You might not know, but I really do need a pair of eyes," he said, as he plucked out the other one too.

Feeling the immense pain, Zhi Tsu broke out in screams, as he clutched his face and rolled around in pain.

"Sh-sh-sh-sh-shhh," whispered Alaukik, as he leaned into Zhi Tsu's ear,

"This is just the beginning."

Hearing this, Zhi Tsu's mind completely collapsed, and he started talking nonsense.

"No, no, no … Please, spare me. It's not my fault. I didn't want to be here. The government sent me here. It's their fault. That mysterious man gave them technology far ahead of the times, and turned them against the Federation. It isn't my fault, please. Please. It's that man's fault. It was all him and his two servants. If they hadn't come to the GAU, we wouldn't have ever launched an attack on the Federation. Please, spare me, don't kill me, I'm not anybody important. I'll-I'll tell you everything you want to know about the government! Yes! I - I can tell you anything you want to know, just please, don't kill me," he said, as he broke down into tears.

Hearing this, a curious expression grew on Alaukik's face, as he asked,

"Who's this mysterious man you're talking about?"

As if seeing light in the abyss, Zhi Tsu suddenly became confident and said,

"Nobody knows who that mysterious man is bu-"

"Then I have no use for you, do I?"

"Wait! Wait! I've seen his servants before! They were the ones who came to negotiate with us! I can tell you what they look like! And I even know of a way to contact the man himself! Please! Just..just don't kill me."

With a mocking smile on his face, Alaukik replied,

"Do you think you're in any position to discuss terms with me? Tell me everything you know, or else…"

"I'll tell you! I'll tell you," Zhi Tsu said, as he immediately moved away from Alaukik.

"At first, when we were approached by his servants, the government didn't pay them any heed. We just assumed it must be someone with a screw loose or something. But then, when they suddenly appeared out of nowhere during one of our important meetings and started to present their technology, all the leaders became more and more interested in their technolog-"

"Wait, you said appeared out of nowhere? What do you mean?"

"Uhh, it was like, like ... Like you! Yes! It was exactly like how you kept appearing and disappearing on the battlefield! You were in one place before, and then suddenly appeared in a different place the same instant! Those twins were the same! And they even said that if we were able to please their master, we would be able to get the same powers as them!"

"It's them." Alaukik said, as his face turned into one of hate and anger.

"Tell me more, how can you contact this mysterious man? Where is he?"

"We can't contact him directly… but! But! I know that he's had some dealings with Blanche, so I'm sure that they would know where it is! I can find that out!"

"No need, just tell me where the Blanche HQ is, and I'll go there myself."

"If I tell you, will you let me live?"

Bending over and above Zhi Tsu, Alaukik said,

"Are you sure you want to live?" while waving to his fingers. Seeing this, Zhi Tsu finally realised that he was not going to get out of this alive and said,

"At least, at least let me die without pain please. Please, I beg you."

"If I hear you try to bargain with me once again, it will not end well for you," said Alaukik, as he caught Zhi Tsu's head and looked straight into his eyes.

"Very, very well," and saying this, Zhi Tsu told Alaukik where the Blanche branch is, and after that, Alaukik immediately teleported away from there. Seeing this, Zhi Tsu, who didn't understand what was happening for a second, realised that Alaukik had set him free, and immediately started running away from here. However, not even five seconds after Alaukik left, Zhi Tsu suddenly burst out, just like how a watermelon bursts when you apply too much pressure on it, with the insides splattering all around the area.

And as for Alaukik, he was back where Vishal, Usman and Ameen layed. However, just as he appeared here, he suddenly clutched his head, which burst into pain once again. Thinking,

'Not again,' said Alaukik, and for the nth time, fainted once again.

A/N:

Rewrote the chapter, and I feel like this version is better than what I had planned. I was planning on letting dear Tsu live for a while and then kill him, but meh, less effort for me. And thinking about it, Alaukik wouldn't have let him live anyways.

Also, yes. Alaukik just took time manipulation to a whole new level. For the ones who wanted him to get back his powers and be un-nerfed, this is for you.

And for those of you who don't want an op mc, don't worry, he still has quite a few problems to resolve within himself. Just getting his eyes back(which he hasn't btw) isn't enough to solve all his problems.
