Reincarnated In A World of Silly Women

Do deities play practical jokes on mortals? My new life in a new world is gratifying, so far, but I can't help but wonder why. There are no men and these women are ridiculous. One all-female race after another, in this part of the world, at least. Amazons, Elves, and Fairies; each with strange quirks and bizarre personalities. I keep collecting more of them as I try to carve out a place for myself in this world. Author's Notes: I intend this to be a lighthearted comedy, as well as a fun and intriguing power fantasy. I won't write anything disturbing, and I will make it as funny as I can. 11/21/24 I only just noticed that the webnovel reader changes my formatting. I was using an extra space between paragraphs to denote a scene change. Please leave a comment if you find any confusing parts.

Do Amazons Dream of Motherhood?

"Do you want something to drink, Titus? We have some water and some mead. . . Oh, and milk." Said Emily.

"Milk?" How did they bring milk on a hunting trip? Wouldn't it spoil? Enna stopped what she was doing, she came over, scooped me up, and sat down. Then, she moved her top, and held my face to her breast.

Oh, oh no, I get it. This is weird, but I am curious about it. Relative to her large frame, it doesn't seem like it, but Enna has very large breasts.

Awkwardness aside, let's just say it tastes nutritious. It must be very nutritious, right? For all I know, it could be supernatural. Maybe it will make me grow stronger or something.

"Is it as good as you imagined, Enna?"

"Yes, this is wonderful." replied Enna, her expression slightly less blank than usual.

"Well, I'm happy for you." said Emily as she returned to cooking.

Apparently, this is something Enna really wanted to do. For her, and for the off-chance her milk might give me a stat boost or something, I can endure this embarrassment. As I was thinking that, I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. I paused and turned my head for a better look, but Enna turned it back.

That went on for a while, at least it felt like a long time. Emily was already roasting chunks of rabbit over the fire.

"I saw some movement in the treetops over there, earlier."

Enna stood up and started walking over that way to investigate. After a few minutes, Enna returned saying she didn't find anything.

"Huh, maybe it was just a bird or something." said Emily while plating the cooked rabbit.

"Could be, I didn't get a good look." I said.

The three of us sat down to eat. The rabbit was surprisingly tasty, it was perfectly salted and it was juicier than I expected, plus cooking over wood added a lot of flavor. After that, the sun was close to setting, so Emily and Enna prepared their bedding of soft furs.

"Enna will take the first watch, and I'll take the second." explained Emily. "You can sleep as much as you want."

I wasn't feeling sleepy yet, so I stayed up with Enna. I asked her a lot about amazons, and she answered all my questions. I learned that amazons typically spend most of their lives with their amazon tribes, and that there are other Amazon tribes in other parts of the world.

When an amazon wishes to be a mother, she would leave the tribe to look for a mate, usually among the humans. Amazons typically choose their mates by duel, proposed by either her or the man. If the man wins, the amazon is obliged, by doctrine, to marry him. While they are married, amazons are loyal to their husbands above all.

Whenever an amazon mother has a daughter (they never birth sons) she returns to the tribe to leave the baby in their care. Then, she returns to her husband until he dies. Apparently, amazons usually outlive humans by quite a bit. After that, so long as she has lived by amazon doctrine, she may return to the tribe.

After chatting for a while, which mainly consisted of Enna answering my questions, I joined Emily in the fur bedding. Emily was already asleep, but she still pulled me into a cuddle, and I eventually started to doze off.
