2. The Small Villain

"Dad!!!" I shouted. Turning back to my father.

Damn I should have caught the sword more firmly even if it meant losing my fingers! Damn!!

"Huh?" In that split second, I noticed that the sword was flying in the air.

Lary lifted her foot and my brother had his wrist on the face of the assassin.

So let me tell you the damn story in the split second.... Lary kicked the sword which was pointed towards my father which was stained with my blood and followed by the punch of my brother which took out two to three teeth of the assassin.

The assassin went flying right through the window. (This is what they say by go through the same way you have come).

I ran towards my father and mother without a second thought. Where my father was standing on his guard. "Father!! Are you all right!!?" I shouted.

"Yes, I am all right." He said as my mother hugged him crying.

I am glad they both are safe. I took a deep breath.

"Damn!! He escaped!!" Ray shouted looking through the window.

"Give me an order! I will chase after him!" Lary shouted taking out her sword which was below the dining table??!

"No! It's too dangerous. Stay here." Father said to her.

"But how can we leave him like that??" Ray shouted clenching his palm. I can feel his anger.

Bang! "!?" The door opened with a huge bang.

What was that?? Is it another assassin?? I looked towards the door stood on my guard.

"Lord!!! Are you all right!!??" It was the guard that shouted.

Huff... I cooled down myself.

"We caught an intruder who was wounded! He looks like an assassin!" He shouted.

Can't they catch the intruder when he intruded?? Wait! Are they even guarding us??

"Take him to the prison." Father ordered. The guard bowed and returned closing the door.

"I will look into the case!" Saying that Ray walked outside the door with a very angry aura emitting around him.

I looked at father. He was seriously thinking about something. "Father? Is everything alright?" I asked him.

He replied me with a sad smile. So, nothing is alright huh?

I clenched my palms gritting my teeth. "Huh?" Am I forgetting something important?? And why do I feel like my hand is burning??

I looked at my palm which was bleeding blood like a river. "AAAAHHH!!!" IT HURTS DAMN!"

Noticing me mom rushed towards me as Lary took out the band aid and wrapped around my palm.

Damn it hurts as if my palm has been dipped inside boiling oil.

"Take rest son." Saying that father left the room without eating his whole dinner. And now that I notice no one ate properly except me.

Damn what is happening??! Everything was alright till now!!

"I will accompany you to your room." Saying that mom pushed me towards the door.

I think she noticed my sad face. We slowly walked towards my bed.

Everything was calm now. "I am alright. You can leave me without worrying mom." I said to her with a small smile.

"Ok" she replied me with a small smile but I can feel the worry behind her smile face.

She then left my room slowly closing my door.

Damn!! I have to save this... I mean my family. There was an assassination attempt on my father just a moment ago but here I am on the fluffy luxurious bed!!?

Sh*t but what can I even do?? I am still not used to this body. Even if my body has a good physique what can I an otaku who lived more than 10 years playing and reading in my room do?

The only thing I know is this damn novels few chapters..... No wait!!

I have to try to memorize more content!!

So, the whole night I was trying hard to memorize the novel but I can only remember some important parts.

I who was awake the whole night slowly got up my bed.

Slowly I freshed up and got out of my room.

There was no one in the hall so I understood that there is a meeting held in the palace.

I don't understand the meeting anyway so I slowly came out of the palace and walked towards the village keeping my hands in my pockets.

This nice fresh air is refreshing. Now that I think about it the author didn't tell about this estate. He didn't tell about the Oldman in his wooden vegetable shop, the women in white's dairy not about the children playing marbles, people working in fields and feeding horses....He didn't even tell about the fantasy look of this peaceful village. The horse carriages were moving on the road carrying goods and stuff.

I think no one here knows about the fact that I am the son of the lord which makes me feel too good. Even according to Robin's memories father didn't officially announce about his two sons to the public nor we told anyone about us, so we roamed as much as we wanted.

So slowly I walked till the entrance of the estate where the guards were checking everyone who were willing to trade in our estate and also the travellers. Everything looks peacefully.

Tok tok tok "?" Slowly I can hear the sound of horse's footsteps coming towards the entrance from the outside. So, I took a look towards it.

"What the!!" There were number of horses rode by some armoured knights along with a carriage in the middle.

Armoured knights mean some big fish is here.

I cannot hear the conservation but I can feel the fear on the face of our guards. That must mean that he is the lord.

I don't care. I am not good at measuring the personality of people so I will avoid it and leave it to father. 

I just hope that the event that happened yesterday doesn't happen again. I thought while trying to move my injured palm.

"Awoo" it still hurts! So, I continued looking towards the gate.

So, at that time a guard went rushing towards the palace and returned after sometime.

I slowly moved towards shade.

The person was given permission so they started rushing inside.

"Man, you people are on horses, you should go slowly. There are people working here." I muttered to myself.

As I was muttering a small child was crossing the road. She realised that there were many horses coming towards her after she crossed half of the path. 

Damn they are not even slowing their horses!!!

I ran as fast as I could after I realised that but I am too far!! By the time I reach there it would be too late.

As I was running towards them worriedly. A person seems as her father caught her and crossed the road.

Huff... Who are these damn geezers??!

Anyway, everything is alright now so there is no deed of a fight. I think the people thought the same too so they were not arguing.

So, I slowly turned back....

"This is what happens when someone blocks the path of our Duke Azel hehe" a man in the armour laughed muttering to himself.

I will just go.... No wait!! What did he say??

"Duke Azel??!!" I screamed internally.

Why is he here?? He was just a small villain in [THE TRASH NOVEL] but he has a greedy personality. He even forcefully takes the land of other Dukes and small lords.

Damn why is he here?? He should be in village «BANSLA» trying to occupy their territory.

I have to head back to the palace!!! Thinking that I started running towards the fort.

As I reached, that geezer was already there in front of my father. Having tea keeping his leg one on the other. The whole meeting was silent.

I can sense the tension in the room which only my family and the people present in the meeting were suffering. Azel was grinding showing his huge ugly teeth.

Damn!! I want to punch in his fatty stomach and tear his shiny, costly clothes.

"So that's my offer. Sell me your land now!" He asked and threatened my father at the same time.

My father was looking down with a very disappointed face. 

Aaaaaa I want to kill this maaaaan!! I noticed the same expression of mine on my brother's face.

"Ok... Give us some time." My father replied in a low tone.

"Haha! Ok." Azel kept the cup on the table and stood.

"But you better not take too much time." He shouted.

"Or you and your family have to face a bunch of assassins not one the other time." He whispered.

"!!?" My anger suddenly flowed through my body. Damn! Damn! Damn! Keep cool!! Keep cool!! 

I tried to cool down myself. But I can hear the pop sound coming from my brother's hands.

He is trying to control his anger too. I looked towards my father.

He was speechless. He didn't know what to tell.

Smiling at us Azel left with his knights.

"Father!! Are you alright??!!" I shouted rushing towards him.

"Yeah, I am alright. You both leave the meeting and go home. This is not for you." He said to both of us.

After the meeting father returned home with a great despair. 

"What happened father." Ray asked father.

"..... I don't understand at all...." Father said touching his head worriedly.

Damn!! Even it's just been six days since I met him, he was a very good person to everyone. He was a good father, husband and a good lord.

Damn what the hell is happening here??
