Father?!

A few weeks passed while I was still searching for my hatchlings but they didn't show any signs of life around the area of our old home and of course, I returned who would expect that a few weeks old hatchlings to be able to fly through the ocean and reach this island where I am now located, the dragon continent.

Honestly, this is the last place I would want to come to so we are a bit far from this place and far from humans but those rats keep coming and destroying everything I do in my life.

During weeks of searching this area, I didn't find them but something told me that they were alive somewhere here and I wanted to leave that city as the last option, I don't think I'm welcome for my reputation but that was years ago maybe nobody remembers me anymore as long as I don't say my name of course.

Weeks went by and one of those days I noticed a big magical disturbance far away from where I was, but it only lasted a few seconds and I didn't want to investigate it whatever it was I didn't want to get into trouble right now.

So I spent another week wandering around the continent while hunting for something to eat, I felt an oppressive aura, in the distance I could see the forest starting to wither, but what struck me was not that, I was the roar that came soon after, it was a metallic roar and that source of manna that shot up shortly after that roar felt familiar.

[DeathWing]: "Maybe..."

I immediately went to the area of the fight.

It took me a few minutes to reach the fighting area at my maximum speed in flight, when I was closest I discovered why that aura I felt was familiar, a metalic dragon, I landed directly and stared at the metal dragon, even though I looked at the other dragon that had several open wounds.

[???]: "Stay away from him, he's dangerous right now!"

When he said that, the metal dragon moved at a fairly fast speed but not fast enough, I dodged him and hit him on the side not using all my force I still wanted to find out if he was who I thought he was, but holding back was a bad idea, with the hit the metal dragon didn't even flinch and he counterattacked throwing metal spikes in my direction at this distance I couldn't dodge everything but I diverted the ones that could go to vital points.

Where he hit me some scales were loose from my body but nothing worrying, in the next hit I put more power with my fire element and with an impulse from my paws I was shot towards the metal dragon a few meters away from me, he couldn't dodge it.

When I hit him with some of my blows not at full power but it was enough and with the help of my element I broke the armour of his chest and I hit a kind of gem.

The dragon shot out from about 10 meters from my position breaking some trees, the dragon was on the ground trying to get up but he fell back to the ground, then the metal around him was absorbed by his body and he returned to a familiar face that I knew.

It was none other than Kaiba, quite grown up for his age but there was no doubt that it was him.

[DeathWing]: "I've found you finaly!"

[DeathWing]: (He'll owe me explanations of why he attacked me later for now I'll take him away and then talk to him but first we have to deal with the other dragon maybe I'll get something out of him)

[DeathWing]: "Well now that it's all quiet, why were you fighting this dragon?"

-Kaiba Pov

I had vague memories of what was going on around me trying to control myself but it was useless at some point I couldn't even hold back and ended up hurting Ignar very badly and almost crushing Luna.

Kaiba]: "Ah...I really hate being in constant pain and have headache all the time.

[Kaiba]: "Although I earned it, just by using that skill."

[System]: (The Host should avoid that skill until he discovers how using the gem in his chest, it was the trigger for the loss of control).

I tried to open my eyes as I was listening to Ignar talking to someone but I was still dazed.

All I knew was that I was on the back of a dragon but it was comforting so I stood there with no strength to stay conscious and went back to unconsciousness.

And so I was jumping from conscious to unconscious every few minutes struggling to know who that other dragon was, so I inspected that dragon.

When I was able to open my eyes it was already night, I was next to my dragon father and he had me surrounded with his body protectively, I tried to get up but I was too weak, but if you can see Iganr lying next to us a little bit away from us, resting and I could see all the wounds he had.

I tried to say something but I was too exhausted so I could see we camped in the forest today and I could see Ignar resting with his wounds healing at a fairly fast pace.

A feeling of guilt was eating me up inside, I hurt those who helped me since I was born into this world and I couldn't afford any more mistakes like this.

Even though my father beat me seriously only with one blow...

It seems that my father noticed my movement and looked at me, I didn't know what to say or do, I just froze, I tried to break the silence.

[Kaiba]: "I am glad to see you again and to know that you are alive, I am sorry , I didn't mean to attack you."

[DeathWing]: "I'm glad to see that my hatchling has become so strong and independent to even scratch my scales with his attacks and as for what you attacked me, it's okay Ignar have explained everything to me, and one thing don't say my name when we get back to that city, I'll explain and I'm glad to see you again".

He brought his muzzle close to mine and caressed me, with that I relaxed and purred like a cat, it had been a while since I relaxed like that, in the end I was going to go back to sleep but before that he said something.

[DeathWing]: "Tomorrow we'll arrive at the city, we could have arrived today but I wasn't going to leave this dragon here, besides it seems that he took care of you in my absence so I'll return the favour, letting him recover and tomorrow we'll go on rest".

I dropped by my dreams once again.
