As the night settled over the Kanto region, Ash Ketchum took a moment to reflect on the past year. It was hard to believe how much had changed soon he will started his journey as a Pokémon Trainer.

He realized just how much he had grown during this time. His training in Psychic and Aura abilities had paid off. Now, he was at an advanced level in both.

With his sensing range extended to 60 meters, he felt more in tune with the Pokémon around him.

Ash chuckled as he recalled his fishing trip with Gary. What started as a simple outing quickly turned into a fun day filled with friendly rivalry. When Ash accidentally pulled up that Poké Ball, their surprise was unforgettable.

As it snapped in two, they each grabbed a half and made a pact to compete one day. Despite Gary's tendency to act tough, Ash felt they had truly become friends, and that made him happy.

After thinking for a while, Ash decided to open his status screen. He was eager to see how far he had come. Tomorrow marked the beginning of his official journey, and he wanted to prepare himself mentally.

As he scanned through the information, a wave of memories washed over him. The quest "Road to Mewtwo" reminded him of the day he had met Mew while training. It had been an ordinary day until she appeared out of nowhere, hovering above him and frightening him to the core.

After a moment of hovering, she had dropped the Charizardite X before disappearing into thin air. This left him both confused and intrigued. The encounter stirred thoughts about Team Rocket, who must have attacked her to obtain her DNA for their Mewtwo project.

Despite that initial shock, Mew continued to visit him. She gave him items and gifts before vanishing just as quickly as she had come. Each encounter only deepened his connection to her.

Lost in his thoughts, Ash was brought back to reality when he heard his mother calling from the other room, "Ash, it's getting late! Time to sleep!"

With nothing left to do for the night and the excitement of tomorrow weighing on his mind, Ash nodded to himself. He tucked his status screen away and climbed into bed, feeling a sense of calm wash over him. Tomorrow would be the day everything began, and he was ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.
