Trying To Fix The System

"Weather readings are stable, but I've lost access to the Elemental Energy levels of Briton. The rest of the Domains are stable. But the whole system is reacting to something else. I think an intruder has been trying to enter the Cloud," replied Z, furrowing his eyebrows.

An intruder? Who would know about computers enough to enter this area? The Old Chapel is an area that is constantly moving, and the IP address changes every hour. Which Mage has the powerful technology to hone into this place's computer?!

Okay, never mind that. Let's see what we're dealing with here. Only the archives and Energy readings from the Briton Domain aren't accessible, including the storm's whereabouts. I typed in some debugging commands, but all were rejected.

Those were too broad for the system to fix... So I'm going to fix it step by step, stabilizing the reading function in the North of Briton plus the storm. But unfortunately, it still failed, meaning I was biting off more than I could chew.

Wait, there's no point fixing the functions first when I've got an intruder trying to access the archives of the Arks here. The Cloud is in danger, and the only way to access it is by using the main computer. The console commands aren't working because it isn't powering the Cloud.

Using the console commands to force open the Script Area, I could edit the existing codes used to run the Cloud. However, as I opened the application, I saw that most of the input devices within the Briton region were all down or failing. I tried establishing contact but to no avail.

I ordered Vania to find me this realm's version of firewalls to use against the intruder. But as I started digging deeper, I realized the infiltrator was trying to download the data on the history and information on the Founders, plus the location of the Old Chapel towards its side.

"I can't seem to find to restart the system, nor will it allow me to reboot it. Before I can even go into that area, errors keep popping out. So I will reboot the system by unplugging it since I can't do anything on my end, " said Z, frantically trying to stop the system from running.

"Do not reboot the system. If we do that, we might lose information and let the intruder into the Cloud by switching our terminal off. Even if you unplug the computer, you aren't affecting the Cloud, which stores the archives."

"You are just taking down an input device, not fixing the problem at the heart of the Cloud. Locate the intruder first. I think I'm close to finding that pesky rat," I commanded as I restarted the devices used to monitor the Briton Domain.

"You are closer to finding that hacker, and you seem to have a knack for finding solutions. So I'm giving you the reigns while continuing to fix the devices and establish connections. Do not worry. The application can be opened in two separate windows," added Z.

I was slightly shocked when I heard Z give that command. I never thought to control a situation like this entirely, but here I am. Well then, here goes nothing. I began typing rapidly on the holographic to search which device the hacker had infiltrated to gain access.

The door swung open by a very panicked Time Mage and Headmaster. More accurately, the door was kicked down by a panting Raiyen. But Z and I were too busy even to bother. They rushed towards us but were stopped by Bryan and Tomoe.

"The communications to Briton's Mages are all down; even my Familiars have vanished. So what is going on?" asked the Headmaster.

"Headmaster, I apologize for the moment now as the comms are down because an intruder has infiltrated into the Cloud and is trying to steal information from the archives," explained Z, without tearing his eyes off the screens.

"What?! No wonder my member's Signal Crystals aren't working!" exclaimed Raiyen, fearing for his underlings.

I can't say I blamed the Time Mage. He is, after all, in charge of the Vigilante, a task force specializing in their communications and gathering of intelligence. Also, this problem might give rise to another method of communication when the central Cloud goes down.

"Lady Elizabeth is doing whatever she can to stop the guy, so please wait patiently and fix my door while we continue tackling this thing," answered Z, annoyed that his door was getting destroyed for the umpteenth time.

Poor Z, I'd imagine that half of his time spent in this place would be rebuilding his front door. Z stopped typing before looking past his monitor to see my stressed-out face. When I realized he was staring at me, I tilted my head to see his worried face.
