Huh, A Whole Forest Just Disappeared.
START OF ARC 2
*GET YOUR PAWS OFF MY SON!!!!* Hearing a raging voice inside of his mind that was followed by the loud growls of a fox, Drax's eyes opened up just in time to see a large whitetail come out of nowhere and hit the Kelo-vile's in its chest, sending it flying. After going through multiple trees, it hit the ground creating a large crater that was immediately filled up with multiple large boulders with spikes poking out of them, each one made purely of ice. Taking his eyes away from the now buried Kelo-vile, Drax looked back towards where the giant tail had come from. Letting out a gasp, Drax's eyes widened in amazement as he gazed at the biggest animal that he had ever seen. Standing In front of Drax was a giant fox.
Its whole body seemed to be made from a shimmering white mist that looked almost like fog, except the color was more vibrant. Four large tails swirled behind its body, clearly showing the monster's aggravation as they swirled behind it in anger. Its eyes were a dark shade of blue that radiated fierce energy that would not allow me to look away. If you counted the tails, then the size of the fox was barely bigger than the Kelo-vile. The monster started to move in my direction without taking its eyes off of the giant boulder-filled Crater.
Feeling something soft and fluffy slide under him, Drax had a moment of confusion before he was lifted into the air and put softly onto the big fox's back. Even though he was currently solid thanks to the scale of the Kelo-vile, somehow he didn't go through the fox's body. Feeling something around his neck, Drax looked down to see a weird kind of see-through rope that held the scale that he had ripped from the Kelo-vile, hanging around his neck. Wondering when the fox had taken the scale off of his neck as well as put a rope through it, Drax didn't have time to pursue the matter before he landed on the fox's back. As his feet touched down onto her back which felt strangely solid, a sweet and gentle female voice that made every muscle in Drax's body relax swept through my mind *Hold on to my back little one and Whatever you don't let go.*
Doing as she said, Drax used his tails and gripped the side of the fox, while also doing the same with his paws. In the next moment, the air got stuck in Drax's throat as large amounts of wind collided with his body. The large fox put her tail in front of Drax's face, doing the best she could to block some of it, but it didn't help as they were both made out of some kind of foggy or misty air. As oxygen finally returned to his lungs, Drax lifted up his head as he started to look at his surroundings. Feeling his mind go blink, Drax could only stare ahead as with his snout wide open in amazement. Drax was no longer in a forest, in fact he was no longer by anything green at all.
Snow filled the sky and then landed on the ground, creating large snow hills that covered the land for as far as the eye could see. Weird red plants were scattered through the area as the tops of the plants pointed in our direction. Four large petals stood at the very top of the plant, each one covered with hundreds of small white teeth. Suddenly, one of the plants to Drax's right started to somehow crawl in his direction, making him immediately tense up, although the fox that Drax was currently riding on didn't seem to sense anything strange and acted like it was a natural occurrence. The plant slowed as it got closer to Drax and the big fox before stopping once it was about six feet away from them both.
*Miss Kuro you have returned, and I see that you have found your son, how marvelous.* Hearing an old rough voice come from the plant in front of him, Drax let out a bark of surprise as his hold on the fox that he was riding on loosened before rolling off of the foxes back and then landing face-first into the snow. Half of Drax's body was now hidden under the snow while the other half was stuck straight out. Moving his paws and tails, Drax did his best to get out of the snow. As he struggled, Drax could hear a few laughs and held in chuckles coming from somewhere above the snow.
Struggling even more as embarrassment swept throughout every part of his soul (Literally since that's all he is now, a walking soul made out of mist.), Drax tried his best to get out of the snow. Stopping his movements as he felt something wrap around his body, Drax was quickly pulled out of the snow before being put once again on the fox's back. The large fox looked back at Drax to make sure that he was alright before turning back to the talking plant and saying *Yes Gallard I have returned with my son however I need to leave for a moment to deal with some unfinished business. You wouldn't perhaps mind watching him until I get back, would you?* The talking plant now known as Gallard responded with an *I would not mind at all, just please make it quick. I am not so good at dealing with children.*
Giving Gallard a small note, Kuro looked at Drax before bending down and giving him a quick lick on my forehead. *I shall be back, my son.* She said before disappearing. Looking at Gallard Drax was about to ask something before he heard Gallard start to count down. 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.
Wondering why he was counting down, he was about to ask before a large explosion that could be seen for over four thousand miles blew up from the direction in which Drax and Kuro just came from. "Yep," said Gallard "There it is, I guess we won't need to worry about any monsters in that forest anymore." With his mouth hanging open, Drax looked at the plant before switching his gaze towards the large explosion that was still getting bigger and then going back to the plant before doing this multiple more times. Not even noticing Kuro's sudden appearance behind him as his mind was currently trying to process what just happened. Not being able to contain it any longer, Drax sucked in a deep breath before yelling "WHAT JUST HAPPENED".
(Author note- So I thought it would be cool if all of you knew the current monster ranking system that humans have as our MC's destined human encounter isn't that far off. I shall give all of you more details once the human encounter happens or we are extremely close to it, but until then, I shall just give you the order of the letter rankings. F= Weakest while *** is the strongest)
