He watched intently as two students ventured into the corridor where he had laid his trap and the two more students who also had unexpectedly just finished early right after them stepped into that corridor. 

He had deliberately left traces of blood in the corridor, curious to see if he could earn TPs from actions that induced terror, even if he wasn't directly present.

His hypothesis proved correct: actions that ultimately led back to him, despite his absence, granted TPs as well.

Although these indirect actions yielded fewer points than direct ones, they would accumulate over time. Furthermore, if witnesses spread the word, it would amplify his gains.
