CHAPTER THREE

Your grades in math have been lacking lately. They are too low. You used to be one of the best performers in your class last year

"Anyway, I am assigning you a tutor to help you with your studies. They will guide you through the topics you don't understand," he stated firmly. I definitely didn't want a tutor. I believed I was fine on my own.

"Mr. Turner, I am fine without a tutor. I can study on my own," I replied, feeling a strong aversion towards tutors. "I'm sorry, Miss Jones, but I've already discussed this with your mom. You don't have a choice," he responded.

I completely disagreed with this decision. I had developed a sort of phobia towards tutors. Back in grade two, when my grades were low, our teacher suggested I get tutored after school. They paired me with Jade since she was a high achiever. It turned out to be a terrible idea. The moment she stepped into my house, she was intrusive and judgmental.

"Why don't you have a large living room like ours? Where are the maids? Don't they have their own uniforms? Don't you have a swimming pool?" She bombarded me with senseless questions that only fueled my anger.

But the worst thing she did was take my princess gown and mock it. "These are for little kids. Let me help you get rid of them," she said before callously throwing the tiara my dad had bought me, shattering it into pieces. That was the last straw. I pounced on her and hit her hard. She ran out of the house, screaming.

When we returned to school, she told everyone that I was a crazy lunatic who had attacked her for no reason, giving her a black eye. I was taken to the headmistress's office, where I tried to explain myself, but no one listened. My parents were called, and I received a one-week suspension. My mom didn't even attempt to hear me out; she scolded me, but it was my dad who supported me. Since then, I never allowed any of my classmates to come to my place.

"No, I really don't want a tutor. I'll do better in my tests," I exclaimed, slamming my hands on Mr. Turner's desk.

"I'm sorry, Miss Jones, but that's final," he responded calmly. "Sydney Ronnie, please report to Mr. Turner's office immediately."

SYDNEY'S POV

The moment my name was mentioned, I already knew what it was about—tutoring Olive Jones. She had been my target for a while now. My job was to keep an eye on her. At least an opportunity had presented itself.

She was my nemesis. I had despised her from the moment we first crossed paths until now. She had bullied my cousin Jade when she was only trying to help her. That wasn't the sole reason, though. I had promised myself to get back at her. I couldn't stand her. The door swung open as soon as I knocked.

Once our eyes met, I felt a spark ignite within me, just as I had expected. She was definitely the one. Her brown eyes perfectly complemented her flawless skin. I had never thought that black hair could match so well with such a cute baby face and brown eyes, but on her, it was a beautiful work of art. For some reason, she attracted me, despite being my nemesis.

"Mr. Ronnie, you will be tutoring Miss Jones here from now until the end of school. Make sure her grades improve,"Mr Turner brought me back to reality. "Couldn't you appoint someone else please," Olive pleaded but I knew this was already set ." Ronnie will tutor you end of discussion,"

Okay, I will tutor her. You don't have to worry she soon be scoring better grades", I assured Mr Turner. I would definitely ruin her. I hope she knows what is coming .

"We'll start tomorrow after school at exactly four to six,"I told her after we were out of the office.

It has been a while since I had last seen her she has  really changed.
