your shoulder

In the depths of darkness, where my heart resides,

Aching and shattered, a storm within that hides,

I feel the weight of sorrow, cutting deep within my soul,

The pain is overwhelming, consuming me whole.

But I need more than just sweet words to heal,

A gentle touch, a listening ear that's real,

Someone who understands and won't turn away,

A shoulder to lean on, to cry and let emotions sway.

I don't need empty promises or empty sympathy,

I need a friend who'll hold me, let me be free,

To let the tears fall without judgment or disguise,

To be there in silence as the pain slowly dies.

Sometimes words fail me, they cannot express,

The depth of my anguish, this unbearable distress,

But in your presence, I find solace and release,

No need for explanations, just comfort and peace.

You're the light in my darkness, a beacon of hope,

With your empathy and warmth, I'm able to cope,

No need for grand gestures or profound advice,

Just your presence alone is like a soothing lullaby.

I don't need empty promises or empty sympathy,

I need a friend who'll hold me, let me be free,

To let the tears fall without judgment or disguise,

To be there in silence as the pain slowly dies.

So thank you for being there when I needed a hand,

For understanding my pain and helping me withstand,

Together we'll weather these storms that arise,

With your shoulder to lean on, I'll find strength in my cries.
