Chapter 7

-On their way to Butao Village-

*Besta, Noir, Tohya and Abby heads for Besta's village, Butao village. It is a 3 day journey from Tamiel. Besta was the one driving the horse carriage. It was the second day of the journey and by tomorrow, they would be able to reach Butao village*

Besta: *Looking disappointed* I was expecting, Oh I don't know, like a small army?

Noir: For the last time, I don't have anyone under me except for this two.

Besta: Your.... Left Knight * Looks at Abby worriedly*.... is under control right?

Noir: For the last time, she won't hurt you or anyone simply for the fun of it.

*Abby now wears a black leather armor, suited for her while wearing a hood with a mask*

Abby: Don't worry Besta. All of Noir's friend is my friend. *Sound cheerfully*

Besta: Gah- *Covers her eyes as Besta could see Abby shines brightly as if her smiles behind the mask is flashing angelic lights*

Tohya: * Looking at the sky* It's getting dark. We should camp for the night. How far left?

Besta: It won't be long. We should arrive at noon tomorrow if we move in the morning.

Tohya: How bout it Noir?

Noir: Yeah. Should I cook again?

Tohya & Besta: No no no! *panicking*

Abby: But I believe it was delicious and unique

Tohya: Don't encourage him Abby!

Besta: I'll cook! geez!

-Later that night after dinner-

Tohya:............

*Tohya was standing alone at the lake side*

Tohya: (I thought my power was invincibility. Then when Abby hit me, I was vulnerable. But when I fought Richard, I could block his attack with my body again)... I don't understand!!!! GAHH!!!

Abby: What don't you understand?

Tohya: Abby!? *surprise*

*Abby was curious at watching Tohya pondering his head all alone at night*

Tohya: What are you wearing?

*Abby didn't wear her armor. Instead, she wore a plain white shirt with a small skirt*

Abby: Besta said I shouldn't be sleeping in my armor. But when I took it off, she quickly gave me some of her clothes.

Tohya: You don't have any other clothes except the armor didn't you

Abby: no.

Tohya: *sigh*With all the darkness during the night time, I'm sure people can mistaken you for a normal girl. *smiles*

Abby: *blushes* Am... I .... cute?

Tohya: *Surprise* Ugh..... (Shit, feels like I'm given this choices to go for her route or not. But I have yet to met other girls) aaa... oh ya Abby!

Abby: Huh yes?

Tohya: You said you don't remember anything when you wake up right?

Abby: *nods*

Tohya: Then how do you know about your power? (Yes, she dropped the question)

Abby: .... *face turns serious*.... I'm not going to lie... It felt natural for me to kill

Tohya: *surprised at her answer and felt a slight chill in his body*

Abby: I just know. Maybe it's instinct. Maybe it got to do with who I was before I forgot. Is that bad?

Tohya: Do you want to kill people now?

Abby: No.... but, if it's bad guy or someone who hurts you guys then-

Tohya: Then it doesn't matter. What matters is the Abby now. Who you are in the past is no concern to us. Okay?

Abby: *smiles* Thank you.

Tohya: I..... I want to know more about my power... If I know more how to control it, maybe I can protect you guys better.

Abby: You don't know?

Tohya: I came from another world . Back in my own world. I don't have any power. I was just given this power recently. I guess they didn't bother to teach me how to use it in the first place.

Abby: ....... do you want to test your power with me?

Tohya: huh?

Abby: Like, try a different move. Maybe you get to understand more how to fight

Tohya: I'm not gonna hurt you.

Abby: I'm tough! *Shows her muscle proudly while smiling* I can take it. But in exchange. Teach me more.

Tohya: More?

Abby: *blushes* About emotions.

Tohya: *blushes as he saw Abby's blushing despite the darkness* uhhhhhh, you want to....uuuhhhh.... be more human like?

Abby: Not just that. *face turns a bit sad* I want to understand you guys more...

Tohya: (What am I thinking. I can't just think she is in it for me. She doesn't know that much to begin with and I was scared because I was afraid I might end up in her route! Damn you Tohya, be a man!) I will! Please, train with me!

Abby: *Smiles* sure!

-Next morning-

Noir: *wakes up and got out of his tent* … *yawn* morning guys~

Besta: Morning Noir

Abby: Morning! *says happily*

Tohya: mornin... *says tiredly and looking half dead*

Noir: Uwah *surprised* what happen to you?

Besta: Apparently, he and Abby trained the whole night. Abby still got energy to spare, he's different though. Geez, who do you think it's even a good idea to force your self like that knowing we are going to fight later today?? *puffing angrily*

Tohya: I need to know my powerrrrrr

Noir: You were trying to figure out your power with Abby's help? How did it go?

*Abby shook her head sadly*

Tohya: Whenever I tried using the power with Abby, it just doesn't work!? WHAT IS MY POWERRR!!??? PRIMERRAAAAA!!!!

*They continued their journey. Noir was sitting next to Besta*

Besta: I really appreciate you doing this by the way *smiles sadly*

Noir: You're not going to ask why there's no army again?

Besta: I'm sorry *laughing awkwardly* I guess I was just restless last few days that I forgot I'm just a kinless. Asking help from a crown prince at that too.

Noir: ...…. * stares quietly at Besta*

Besta: Promise me, if it gets too much, please escape with as much people from our village as possible… I beg y-

Noir: You're not going to die. *said in a serious tone which made Besta flinched*

Besta: Noir… *looks at the other side thinking otherwise. She was prepared to die knowing they could fail and die and it will be her fault bringing Noir to her village*

Noir: Don't go preparing your death too early. Have faith in us. *smiles confidently* You know Besta, before this when it feels like the whole world is my enemy, you were the only one who talks to me normally. That normal conversation was my source of strength a lot of time before.

Besta: It's just a normal conversation, you're over exaggerating it Noir.

Noir: I'm not. When people talk to you like they want you dead, it's nice to hear people talk like they're not pushing you away. So now Besta, I want to repay it by saving your village.

Besta: *starts to cry* thank you….. *wipes her eyes and smiled pathetically because she still thinks she's going to die* ( well, the thoughts that counts ) .....

-Nearing the village, the whole gang can see it from a far-

Besta: There it is….

Tohya: * saw alot of dead male elves hanged from a giant tree* wha- what is… that *terrified*

Besta: * tries her best to avoid looking at the tree* At one point, our village tried to rebel against the bandit, but failed. All of the rebel was hanged to the tree as a reminder what would happen if we start rebelling again…..

Abby: *starting to cry* why are they so cruel...…

Noir: .... *clenching his fist*

Besta: My father was the one who started the rebel ...….

*Everyone was surprised*

Besta: *grips the horse handle tighter* One day, a group of drunken bandit crash into our house. I manage to hide since my mother helped me first but she couldn't run a way in time. They then defile my mother… right in front of me.

*Everyone went silent*

Besta: Of course, my father caught news about it and hurriedly home. But by the time home he is home. My mother was already dead.... Losing control, my father tried to fight the bandit. Soon, more elves joined and try to defeat the bandit but they all lost…

Tohya: Besta...

Besta: yes? *turns around and was surprised to see all three of them was furious with blood lust in their eyes*

Tohya: Hurry up. I don't think we can make them wait more longer.

Abby: I don't need to hold back right?

Noir: Besta, try to evacuate as much people as possible away from the village.

Besta: Huh but why?

Noir: You don't want them to get caught in the fight. Having them there in the battle field will only hold back Tohya and Abby .

Tohya: Ohh!! * Looking murderous* Please do get everyone we shouldn't kill away. I'll let loose for real.

Besta: *feeling scared* Be careful…

Noir: Abby, you know how to send that wave right?

Abby: yes, I do. Why?

Noir: It's enough to kill someone right?

Abby: I can make it.

Noir: Now listen up…

-Near the village's entrance-

Bandit: huh? Who's there!?

*The carriage stopped in front of the bandits*

Noir: Bring me your leader!

Bandit: HUHH!?? WHat do you Want!? * points his sword to Noir*

*Noir then throws his pendant that shows that he is royalty*

Bandit: Th-that?? * Surprised*

Noir: I want to buy this village!!

*The bandit quickly calls the leader of the bandit*

Bandit's leader: A royalty!? HA! What is someone like you doing in a lawless land like this? *Smirk*

Noir: I want to buy this village. Tell me how much you want to sell it and I will ask my men to bring me the money. State your price!

Bandit's leader: *Laughing loudly* Are you serious!??

Noir: I am!

Bandit's leader: heh… *smiling mischievously* Well well well. I am getting bored of this anyway, so you're actually helping a lot for me. I can sell y-

*Abby quikly send a gush of dark waves to the leader of the bandit out of nowhere. The leader of the bandit was caught off guard, it got hit and was damaged badly and just when he tried to regain his balance with his left leg, Tohya was already dashed to the leader then he grabbed his face then slams the head to the ground so hard the head exploded leaving the leader's body headless. All of this happen in 2 second and by the time people comes to their senses, Besta was the first to start screaming out of fear. Noir simply watch mercilessly and the other bandit was still petrified and speechless.*

Noir: Besta, evacuate the other elves to safety.

Besta: Th-th-the head-

Bandit: WHAT ARE Y- *Tohya in a second immediately appeared in front of him then punch his stomach so hard it left a huge hole in the bandit's body* GA-

Tohya: *Looking murderously* ( I guess it was easy for me to kill. I thought it might be hard for me but I'm glad it is not) * Tohya is projecting the bandit as the people who made his sister takes her life* I… WILL… KILL YOU ALL!!!

*As the other bandit tries to attack Tohya, Abby comes in to protect Tohya then kills them all*

Abby: ... people like you... doesn't deserve to live...… This world is far better.... without people who acts like you…..

Bandit: Wha-what kind of monsters ar-are you!?? * fear for his life*

Abby: A monster who eats monsters like you….

* Tohya and Abby starts massacring bandits one by one *

Besta: Noir! THEY'RE MONSTERS! * in fear *

Noir: To defeat monsters… we need our own monsters.

Besta: How can you be so confident that they won't turn against you!? You don't have any power to protect yourself from them! * Points at Tohya and Abby slaughtering mercilessly. Some of the villager saw them fighting and clearly they are scared of Abby and Tohya than the bandits* You are in danger!

Noir: * looks at Besta with a soft expression* Thank you for worrying Besta. But those two are my powers.

Besta: What do you mean-

Noir: I don't have anything like you said. They're my power and my friends. They're my live now. Without them, I would've been dead anyway. In fact, I'd rather be dead. So there won't be much different with them killing me or not.

Besta: *snapped* NOIR! *Slapped Noir hard*

Noir: * dumbstruck and confuse* ...… huh?? * Looks at Besta confusingly*

Besta: Get back to your sense! You don't sound like the Noir I know now. I understand you are furious from my story but I am not looking for sympathy or revenge. I just want to save the village people! I'm mad yes, but I'm over it! We were just unlucky. But I'm sure it's not like it's something new. A lot of other people gone through something hard. You have gone through something hard. It doesn't mean you need to lose yourself and become crazy like this.

Noir: *in realization and was thinking clearly again* Besta.. I-

*Besta slapped Noir again*

Noir: I wasn't trying to say something stupid! I was just about to say you are right!!!

Besta: Oh.. sorry. *smiles apologetically*

Noir: ...…. *sigh* I guess unconsciously, we are projecting our anger of what we got towards the bandits…. including me… I'm sorry Besta.

Besta: Then do something. Cause from the look of it, the villager is seeking protection from the bandit instead. From there you know Tohya and Abby is seriously doing something wrong.

Noir: Got it. *runs off towards Tohya and Abby*

Besta: ....... *smiles sadly* I'm glad you're able to hear what other said. Just because you have power now doesn't mean you can do something like this. This kind of action is the start of becoming an evil dictator who is drunk with power.

-At the village-

*Abby and Tohya was killing left and right non stop*

Bandit: We need to escape now!

Tohya: NO YOU DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!! * Chasing after bandit who tried to escape*

Noir: TOHYA, ABBY! STOP!!!!!! NOW!!!!

*Tohya and Abby was so surprise how loud Noir shouted which made them stopped immediately*

Abby: Noir?

Noir: I want you bandit to get out of this place and leave everything you have behind! If you refuse, I won't hold these to back again. This is your last chance to live!

*All of the bandits runs away for their life*

Tohya: NOIR!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?

Noir: Tohya calm down.

Tohya: What do you mean calm down!??? THEY DON'T DESERVE TO LIVE!

Noir: It's not us to decide whether they deserve or not. We were not the one who they suffered. It's the elves.

Tohya: Of course they want them dead!!

*Abby then saw the scared villages who has this fears in their eyes as the same way back then when Abby was the Red Reaper *

Abby: They're…. scared of us…

Tohya: Huh? * changes his attention to Abby then saw Abby cowering* Abby?

Noir: You were focus on killing so much that you didn't notice that the villager even tried to seek protection with the bandit from us.

Tohya: *flinched* ...… * looks around and saw the fear in the elves eyes*

Noir: Just try to calm down first.

Abby: * started to cry* I'm sorry… * opens her mask then sat on the ground while covering her face on her knees and wraps arms around her head* I didn't mean to-

Tohya: Abby-

*Noir then walks towards Abby then gives her a hug*

Noir: It's okay. It's all of our fault. We were too agitated.

Tohya: ….. I ...* looking disgust at his bloodied hand* I...… *tears starts to fall down*

Noir: Tohya…. * looking at Tohya sympathetically*

Tohya: I WANT A HUG TOOOO

Noir: HUH!??? * surprised*

*Tohya then rushed to Noir then jumps to him and Abby then hugged them*

Tohya: I'm Sorry!!!

Noir: Tohya!???

Abby: WAAHHH!!!

Noir: Abby calm down!! * getting worried *

*Besta who is looking at them from a distance*

Besta:.... *speechless* what is this? What am I looking at?
