In Paris

The next day was a whirlwind of activity as we packed up everything and rushed to the airport. It seemed that there were even more people running about the terminals than when we first arrived. I never was one for crowds. By the time we got on the plane for Paris, I was sweating and trying to avoid having a full-blown panic attack.

Gretal was right about how quick the flight was. While I knew it was longer than it felt, I could have sworn we leveled out and then began our descent. Paris was under my feet before I knew it.

We moved through the flurry of people and luggage and made our way to a cab that took us to our temporary new home. We weren’t staying at a hotel this time. Gretal had a contact who was on sabbatical. He said we could stay at his home which was central to the public transportation and many sights we were planning on seeing.
