Basketball terms

So someone recommended that I should make a auxiliary chapter that lists and explains some of the terms frequently used in basketball.

Pick and roll: A type of play in which a ball handler calls for one of his teammates to set a screen*. The player that set the screen can then roll (run to the basket).

Screen: The act of using your body to impede a defender.

Back court violation: The act of going back across the half court line with the ball after having already crossed it.

Inbound: The act of throwing the ball into the court after a play is ruled as dead.

Charging foul: When an offensive player makes significant contact with a defender who has established proper position.

Blocking foul: A blocking foul is when the defender makes significant contact with the offensive player but failed to establish proper position.

Man to man defensive: A type of defense where each player has a designated target on the other team that they need to defend.

Zone defense: A defensive scheme where instead of having each player guard a specific player they guard a area of the court instead.

Alley-oops: The act of dunking a ball after you catch it while still being in the air.

Rebound: The act of gaining the possession of the ball after a missed shot attempt.

Assist: Making a pass that directly leads to a scored basket.

Taking a charge: The act of establishing position before an offensive player runs into you. Must be outside of the circle.

Full court press: The act of defending tightly for the span of the court.

Handles: A persons ability to handle a basketball aka dribbling.

Play making: The act of creating a good opportunity on the offensive side of the game.

bounce, hops: Just another way to describe how well you can jump.

Bigs, Big man/men: Used to describe Centers and Power Forwards

Wings, Wing players: Shooting Guards and Small forwards.

So far this was everything I could think of. I'm so into basketball that all the terms just seem natural to me.

If you can think of anything I should add for our friends who are less accustomed to basketball terminology let me know :)
