CHAPTER 31: LORD EMPEROR

Jia woke up after several hours of sleep.

She felt an itch on her arm and tried to look at it.

She saw a phoenix symbol on her arm.

"How did this get here," Jia asked puzzled.

"Don't know. Oh, I'm going to sleep for a while. Don't wake me up" Damon said with a yawn.

Jia looked surprised.

"Let's get out of here," Jia said to the subordinates behind her

They followed behind her closely.

"Liyu, go ahead of us and search for possible dangers" Jia ordered.

Liyu nodded and disappeared.

"Reporting to master, there is no visible danger in sight. All I sight is a red spring" Liyu said through telepathy..

Jia looked lost in thought.

"Master, is everything alright?" Feng asked.

Jia hummed in response.

She took a deep breath before continuing.

The rushing water moved at a high-speed generating a loud noise..

It looked like a normal spring only that the water was blood red.

The sky was blue, and the sun shone brightly.

Jia looked up and saw that there were nine huge suns and a very small sun.

She saw the faint outline of a face on each of the sun

Jia felt a tingling sensation in her eyes which made her look away from the sun

She touched the red spring and as any usual spring, her hand phased through it.

Liyu reappeared by Jia's side.

"Master, there is something behind the red spring. Like something is hidden in there" Liyu explained

"I know. I thought about it too" Jia said with a faint smile.

'If only he was awake 'Jia thought to herself.

All her subordinates followed behind her to enter the red spring.

All of them were thrown out with a loud bang.

"There's a barrier," Jia said aloud.

They all tried to enter again but they were thrown out again.

The ground began to quake violently. Everything was thrown off balance.

The nine suns which were in the air had fallen to the ground.

They all had different types of faces.

Some looked creepy, and some looked normal.

"Why are you trying to enter the red cave?" One of them said in a gruff voice.

The others looked at Jia with contempt.

"Red cave? What red cave?" Jia asked.

"The one behind the red spring over there," Another one said.

"Why are you all disturbing my nap?" The tenth sun said with a yawn.

"Lord emperor" They echoed in unison.

The 'lord emperor ' looked around and noticed Jia and her people.

It came down with a thud.

Its flaming yellow hair fluttered slightly. It had golden brown eyes and carried the air of royalty.

"What are you doing here," The Lord emperor asked.

Jia kept mute and stared at the lord emperor.

"Little girl, what are you doing here '' Damon asked with a yawn.

" Go back to sleep," Jia said lazily.

"I plan on looking for a few things in the red cave If you don't mind," Jia said.

The system watched with an amused look.

"Of course, we don't mind. But there's still no way you can go beyond that spring" The Lord emperor said.

Jia tilted her head slightly and made eye contact with the lord emperor.

"Assuming we're not able to go past it, I don't think it'll have anything to do with you right?" Jia said with a suggestive look.

"Girl, you're quite smart" The lord emperor replied with a smirk.

"Which means no one is getting out of here" He continued his voice getting darker.

Jia hummed lightly.

'I only have four people capable of fighting. Four against nine doesn't sound like a good idea but I'll give it a go ' Jia thought to herself frowning.

"Girl, you scared out of your wits. Want to run away" The lord emperor said with sarcasm evident in his voice.

"Depends" Jia replied with a shrug.

He did a signal to the other nine suns, and they rushed to attack Jia's subordinate.

Jia curled her lips in disdain.

"Pathetic" She spat.

The emperor sun-sized her up.

"It's just me and you," he said with a dark tone.

"Girl, you love picking fights. It's just been 3 days. Damn, you!" Damon said exasperated.

Jia ignored him which made him sigh

A smirk formed at the corner of his lips

A hurricane formed. It tried to cover up Jia and Kill her.

After the dust of the hurricane settled, the emperor had a triumphant look on his face.

''Is that all you can do "Jia suddenly said.

The emperor got the chills.

" Now, it's my turn, "Jia said with a smirk.

" VOID SPACE "

A black dimension appeared and trapped him.

Somehow, he managed to come out of it.

"Not bad," Jia said with an emotionless look.

Deep down, she was shocked.

'This little guy is something 'Jia thought.

She looked at the fight going on and saw that her subordinates were holding up pretty well.
