Chapter 129: Eternal Wicked Lotus

The Ancient King didn't decide to attack Khufu in Egypt only because of revenge for his intrusion.

He had an interest in the position of Lord of Underworld but he also wanted to learn the secrets of preserving the body, he had clearly lost his own one way or the other but Khufu seemed to have figured to restore his to the point of perfection.

It was likely the Ancient King became interested in that after fighting against Khufu using Zhan Kong's body. Cao Guang was suprised at first but then he realised the King's actions were reasonable for an Undead.

The Mural told about the life of Qin Shi Huang life as an Emperor and so on. Cao Guang went over it point by point before reaching the end where the achievements were written.

There seemed to be a paragraph stating that he used Heavenly rocks to build the Great Wall and they would never fade.

It said things about how he discovered the Undead elements, uses of various Forbidden Curses he knew and much more. Cao Guang jotted evrything down like a student and moved on slowly to the rest where he found a familiar term.

The Ancient King had not described how he made anything Dark Abyss, White Palace Tomb or Great Wall or just about anything.

But there he mentioned of a poison he had designed for a Poison mage to use, he had never perfected it because he didn't have the element. He was researching a way to turn living beings to Undead without killing them.

He called the Bane of Living and recorded it's structure so that someone could complete it.

This, so Fu Da was here then, Salan knows that the Dark Abyss is the Emperor's mausoleum. Maybe this is how her interest fell on the Water of Kun and Holy Spring and not the other way around, I see.

Can't believe that she figured this years ago, it does makes sense, Fu Da was from the villages, he was probably a pure descendant and knew the secrets of the White Palace Tomb. Then how did he leave afterall the statues were intact when I came in and there was no sign of them recovering. So there is another exit designed to be known by the villagers huh! Unfortunately I don't have any clues to work on that.

Cao Guang finally came face to face with the legendary ward that was supposed to keep it anything below Forbidden Curse level.

Wards were a type of Defensive formations, their advantage was by limiting offensive capabilities a lot of energy could be saved.

The Little Tora pendant was at a point where it would jump off his neck if he held back any longer.

The Eternal Lotus was slowly assimilated into the inner world of the pendant, but the Lotus was filled with so much energy that it started leaking into his Spiritual World.

He waited no longer and send everything towards his Summoning Nebula. The energy of the Lotus put him through an insane amount of pain as the Galaxy barrier weakened slowly.

Due to his Heaven grade seed the Galaxy Barrier was far sturdier than even Gao Xuan's, he was having a difficult time even when he developed it to the fifth tier and used a Galaxy Vein. But the energy spilled over from the Eternal Lotus being eaten by the Little Tora pendant was so much that he had no choice or difficulty other than pain when breaking to the advanced level with his Summoning element.

Cao Guang could feel his soul being sublimated and the talent having a change when the break through was done. The Eternal Lotus had disappeared but the Little Tora pendant was not done digesting it and went limp instantly after.

It remained unresponsive to his calls but could be still used as a soul container and magic tool. Though it's grade was slowly improving.
