"Hokage-sama, we found someone," A brown-haired shinobi with the konoha headband screamed out as he stumbled upon the unconscious form of Indra.
The other shinobi rushed to where he was and formed a circle around Indra. While medic-nin rushed to his form to check his condition, and heal him up if needed.
"Take off his mask and confirm if he is a konoha shinobi, kill him if he isn't." Another shinobi said, stopping the medics from checking his condition.
"Can't you see he's putting on the Anbu mask, besides I'm certain I've seen his bingo book entry, what it said he had brown hair though," the medic-nin argued.
"Doesn't matter, take it off."
"Let it be. He's a konoha shinobi," Tobirama interjected. "Go ahead and check his condition," He added, addressing the medic-nin.
The palm of the medic-nin glowed green as he examined Indra's body. "He is fine, Hokage-sama. I can feel a little bit of poison in his bloodstream, but his chakra is actively destroying it. I reckon his body would have expelled the poison by now if he had more chakra, or he was awake."
The medic-nin brought out a syringe and was about to prick Indra's vein with it.
"What do you think you're doing?" Tobirama asked angrily.
"I...I... wanted to take some of his blood to analyse the poison," the medic-nin replied, stuttering due to fear.
Tobirama thought about it for a few seconds before nodding, he was curious about what secrets Indra's blood held but Hashirama refuted anytime he brought it up. Besides Indra would definitely reject the idea of his blood being studied, but now Hashirama was dead and Indra was unconscious.
"Go ahead," He said, giving the medic-nin permission to continue.
The medic-nin brought out another syringe as he'd drop the first one in fright. He traced the median cubital vein on Indra's arm and placed the syringe on a good spot. The medic-nin gulped loudly as he felt tense with the way Tobirama intensely stared at him.
"I'd be inserting it in now," he said, feeling a need to explain himself again to Tobirama.
He slightly pushed on the syringe, trying to slowly push it into Indra's arm.
"What do you think you're doing?" A cold voice asks, scaring the life out of him.
With his right hand, Indra tightly held the hand of the medic-nin. Summoning a chakra rod to his other, he aimed at the neck of the medic-nin.
"Stop Indra, you were poisoned and he wants to analyse the poison still remaining in your bloodstream to create an antidote," Tobirama exclaimed, saving the life of the medic-nin.
The chakra rod disappears and Indra releases the bruised hand of the medic-nin who scrambled as far away from him as he could.
"Oh sorry, I thought he was an enemy shinobi trying to steal Konoha's secrets."
"You saw his headband."
"I thought he stole it," Indra quipped back at Tobirama, shamelessly trying to defend almost killing the poor medic-nin.
"And the flak jacked?"
"They sell that at the market these days."
The other shinobi watched in shock as a masked konoha shinobi exchanged jabs with the Hokage.
Tobirama chuckled at his antics and then he stretched his hand for Indra to use in standing up.
"Let's go, you need to report what happened here," Tobirama said as he walked away with Indra.
The entire konoha shinobi that had just experienced that spectacle watched Tobirama leave with Indra with their mouths wide open.
"Does Hokage-sama have a son?" one of them asks.
"But look at their hair, it's basically the same. And did you watch that interaction?" another one interjects, seeing the always stoic Tobirama interact with Indra surprising them.
"So he's the Hokage's son then?" they all nodded, the idea of Tobirama having a hidden child being the only explanation they could think of.
...........
"I received a distress message from Hoki, but I want to hear from you on what happened here. Why are you here away from where our shinobi fought? and did you kill everyone here?" Tobirama asked the moment they were away from the prying eyes of the other shinobi.
"Yes I did, although a kunoichi named Chiyo managed to escape," he replied.
"That's a problem. Did she see your face?"
"What do you take me for?! Of course, she didn't."
"Thank you for avenging our fallen shinobi," Tobirama solemnly said, placing his palm on Indra's shoulder. "Although I'd have preferred you didn't run headfirst into a battle like that," he added.
"So what do you intend to do now? You can return back to Konoha or join us in expelling every other village shinobi from our country."
"I won't be doing either of those. I came here for a mission and I intend on finishing it," Indra resolutely said. "Besides it's personal for me. Hoki is dead because of the Kazekage, it's my duty to Hoki the kazekage joins him in the afterlife."
Tobirama ruffled Indra's head before speaking, "I'm proud of you, Indra."
"That just sounds weird," Indra exclaimed, a small smile hidden behind his mask.
Tobirama took out a scroll and passed it on to Indra.
"What's this?" Indra asks.
"Just open it."
"Are you sure about this, Tobirama?" Indra asks the moment he finished reading the contents of the scroll.
"Yes, I want you to be the next head of the Senju clan. I'm too busy as the Hokage to deal with the affairs of the clan, and there's no one available to chuck the job to," replied Tobirama.
Indra just stared at Tobirama as he spoke, "You do realise Tsunade has parents right?!"
"Just shut up and accept it."
"So I'm known as Senju Indra now huh?! It doesn't sound nice, but I'd accept it," Indra chuckled.
"You know, now that I'm the head of the Senju clan, technically I am now considered your superior in the clan," Indra said with a smug tone.
"Next head, there's a difference."
...................
Getting into Sunagakure wasn't hard for Indra to do. All he had to do was suppress, shrink himself using sukunahikona, and walk into the village in his invisible form.
He didn't know where the Kazekage's office was located so he spent a few minutes eavesdropping on the shinobi and he was able to locate the place.
Perched on the roof window of the kazekage's office, Indra watched the kazekage known as Shamon discuss with a medic-nin.
Shamon was a seemingly bald man though he had locks of brown hair at the back of his head. His most distinctive feature was an intricate green dragon-shaped tattoo which was tattooed around the top head, with a black claw covering his right eye. His attire consisted of a dark-coloured kimono held close by a light-coloured sash over which he wore a plain, long-sleeved haori.
"How is Chiyo's condition?" Shamon asked the medic-nin.
"She's awake now," the medic-nin replied. "She claims a Konoha Anbu with fox mask attacked them, and subsequently eliminated everyone of them. She barely escaped with her life, and that was due to Ebizo sacrificing himself to buy time for her to escape."
"Fox masked Anbu?" Shamon inquired.
"Yes, a bingo book entry from Kumogakure was added recently. The information she gave was almost the same as the entry, except he had white hair instead of the brown in it," the medic-nin stated.
"Although it sounds far-fetched, if she's saying the truth and just one person killed 3000 Kiri and Suna shinobi, it would be a problem for us."
"You can leave," Shamon dismissed the medic-nin the moment he was done.
A shinobi with pieces of cloth that resemble turbans that cover the lower halves of their faces leaving only their eyes visible appears in kneeling in front of the Kazekage.
"Add this Konoha Fox Anbu to the Bingo book," Shamon instructed.
.............
Indra was going to kill the kazekage but he had to find and kill that woman named Chiyo. It was gaining on his personal pride that he'd allowed her to escape.
Indra then left the window he was eavesdropping from, heading to the Sunagakure hospital by following the medic-nin.
Fifteen minutes later, the medic-nin left the room Chiyo was recuperating in after checking up on her. Most of Chiyo's burns had already been healed by now as any skilled medic-nin could have done that.
Indra appeared right next to Chiyo's bed, her eyes widens as she saw him. She tried to scream for help but it was too late, Indra covered her mouth as she desperately struggled. He then summoned a tanto and stabbed her heart with it. Shrinking himself, he left the hospital room and headed towards the Kazekage's office.
Appearing back on the office window, he activated his byakugan, marking the position of five Suna Anbu guarding the kazekage. With a burst of speed, he appeared behind the Kazekage, not before sending chakra rods at the Anbu in hiding.
"Konoha says hello," he stated as he stabbed his tanto into he heart of the Kazekage.
*Thud*
The bodies of the dead Anbu guards unceremoniously dropping to the floor, alongside the man they were supposed to protect.
Picking up the kazekage's hat, he stored it in his dimension and left the office.
In his shrunken form, he was halfway to the cleft that signifies the only entrance and exit of the village when the entire shinobi force started mobilising, with the majority of them locking down the entrance to the village.
