The old man, David, entered the boss room alone and told Yash to watch from a distance. He switched his spear for a great axe and equipped a talisman on his left hand. Then the boss jumped in from the roof.
The demon's size itself was enough to intimidate even the bravest of people but not David. He walked towards the boss with confidence.
The demon attacked David with it's hammer as soon as he was in range. Just as the downward swing from the demon was about to hit David, the hammer flew out of the demon's grip to the side of the room. David had used a Miracle name Force just then to knock the hammer away. He then two-handed his weapon and attacked at the defenseless demon's knee, completely chopping to off. The demon now with a missing leg fell to the ground and David then attacked it's neck chopping it's head off.
Yash was speechless as he didn't expected any of this to happen. As he looked at the chopped oh head of the Asylum Demon he felt fear. Yash definitely didn't want to make this old man his enemy.
"The corpse will turn to dust in about a minute so don't stand there and quickly put that head inside your inventory."
Yash followed David's instructions without asking any questions.
"You can use that as a trophy if you want but I would just sell it in the real world if I were you."
"Ok, I will do that. But how am I suppose to return to my world?"
"That is simple, you just need to warp from the bonfire. However, you should buy a Homeward Bone before returning otherwise you won't be able to come back without dying."
"Thanks for letting me know."
"Before I leave tell me your starting class."
"I choose Thief as my starting class. Will that be a problem?"
"Thief? You wanted to be a stealth archer or something?"
"No, I did that because of the critical hits. It makes the starting section of the game very easy."
"Well, you messed up. Parrying is almost impossible here unless you are extremally skilled, its much easier and safer to use something like a hammer or a spear instead."
"What do I do now?"
"I recommend switching to something like a spear. The longer the spear the better."
"But how do I get them in the starting zone?"
"There should be one in the graveyard if I am not mistaken. Ok, I need to go now, someone else might need my help. Good luck with your adventure."
And then David returned back to his world.
Few moments later the corpse of the demon also disappeared. Yash then went forward to the next bonfire to collect his starting equipment.
As he reached the corridor with the archer standing at the distance he stopped. He baited the archer to fire using his hand and then ran to the cell with the shield inside. The shield was to small to stop the arrows so Yash came up with another plan.
He waited for the archer to fire and while the archer was reloading he ran to the next cell. Even if the cell doors are closed there was still enough space for the him to hide his little body behind cover. He used this method over and over until he was a few meters away from the archer.
This time when the hollow archer went to reload Yash ran towards him and tackled him to the ground. Then Yash used the knife he got from David to slice the hollow's neck open. After a few seconds of struggling the hollow archer died.
Yash picked up the short bow the hollow was using and his wooden arrows. Yash then moved towards a different corpse near the end of the corridor and pulled the knife sticking from its chest. That was his starting weapon.
He then returned to the bonfire and rested there for a while. The act of killing those hollows was tough for him since they look so much like a human. After some thinking he found a solution to this problem, a way to avoid the killing as much as possible.
Yash then went to talk to Oscar and almost got crushed by the bolder in the process. After the wall was broken he entered the cell. Upon entering he noticed a sign on the ground, it was a message which said, "You can steal his equipment."
"What? No. Who would do something like that?"
He then rated the message negatively before going back to his main objective.
Oscar laid on the floor on top of some rubble as he looked at Yash. As Oscar spoke his dialogue Yash recalled his old memories of when he played Dark Souls for the first time.
The days when he could do PVP all day long were fun times compared to the later years when barely anyone played PVP. But that was from before he died, maybe now that this is real and other players exist PVP would become common again. But is that a good thing?
Yash received the Estus Flask from Oscar and the keys as well. Soon Oscar will die and he couldn't do anything about it. Its looks like certain things can be changed in this world, unfortunate but understandable.
While he was there he went and looked at the corpse on top of the broken stairs. The player is suppose to return here for the key but Yash climbed the stairs using the rubble and collect the ring.
Once that was done he unlocked the door and climbed up cliff. Then a larger bird came out of nowhere and grabbed him with its claws. This scared him quite a bit but the flight to Firelink Shrine was worth the effort.
After almost 20 minutes of flying the bird reached Firelink Shrine and dropped Yash near the bonfire. This was the start of an incredible adventure and Yash was exited to see what happens next.
