How much can a talentless kid accomplish in the shinobi world with the help of a Dark Souls System? Hopefully you will find answers to your questions by reading my fanfic.
'How did this happen?'
Yasahiro, short for Yash, was laying in bed worried about his future. He didn't remember much about Naruto series so their wasn't enough data to build a good plan.
'I could be a blacksmith or even work at the ramen shop. It should be enough to survive in this village, right?'
Yash didn't want to live a slow boring life but he had to if he wanted to survive.
For the next few weeks Yash worked hard on improving his blacksmithing skills with his new father, Goro Nyudo Masamune.
Yash learned learn a lot about smithing in the past few weeks but he also learned a lot about other things. Example; his father is a former shinobi with a outstanding skills, the only reason he became a blacksmith was because of his wife's death.
Yash would go on a walk around the village at evening everyday and on one of these walks he encountered Naruto. He knew Naruto was the main character of this universe so getting on his good side might be a good idea.
"Mind if I sit?"
Yash said to Naruto who was sitting on a bench.
"No, go ahead."
"Are you Naruto?"
"Yes, but why are you asking Mister?"
"No reason, Just wanted to confirm if you were the kid I thought you were. I am Yasahiro by the way, you can call me Yash."
Naruto didn't reply with words but instead watch Yash.
"You are a student right?"
"Yes, this is my 1st year."
"Hmm... I have an offer for you. Wanna hear it?"
"Yes."
"I live on that side of the village over there. If you have time then come and meet me there, I will teach you a few things that you might find helpful."
"I accept your offer. I will be their tomorrow after noon."
"You made the right decision. I promise you will not regret it."
Yash then left the scene.
The next day Naruto came as promised. Yash then took Naruto to his front yard and asked,
"How much do you know about fighting?"
"Not much, only some punching drills taught in school."
"Have you been in a fight before?"
"Yeah, Once I fought these 3 guy that were being mean to this girl and I took one of them down. They did beat me up at the end though."
"Then it won't take long."
Yash then went inside his house and came out with boxing mitts. Yash spend the entirety of last night preparing these and his father helped him finish them on time.
"What are those?" asked Naruto.
"These will help you become a better fighter. I will be teaching you a few thing about unarmed combat today. If you learn them then you will have a easier time defending yourself the next time you get in a fight."
Naruto went along with Yash's plan without any complains.
Yash trained MMA under his local GYM for 11 month before dying and now he is teaching Naruto everything he learned from them.
Yash made Naruto do endurance training first and then showed his the basic moves like leg kicks, Jabs, etc. Once Naruto could do those moves decently well Yash made him do a few combinations.
"Focus on the technique and forget about power. And relax, you are too tense."
Naruto listened to Yash's instructions and followed them to perfection.
"Perfect, now don't stop. Finish this combo one last time."
By the end Naruto was very tired. Yash didn't expect the kid to have so much stamina, he was impressed.
Yash then brought Naruto some water and snacks.
"You did really good. If you train with me everyday then you should be ready within 3 months."
Naruto smiled at the compliment.
"Once you get used to throwing those punches and kicks we can start working on your ground game. I haven't prepared the equipment yet but they should be done within this week."
The two of them talked for another 20 minutes about training. By the time they were done it was already dark. Yash's father also returned home just then.
Yash wasn't worried as his father already knew about his plans. Yash told him last night about it.
Yash and his father then accompanied Naruto back to his house after they eat an early dinner together. On their way back Yash's father said,
"I understand what you are trying to do. I feel bad for that kid too but you can't let others see you with him. It might effect our businesses and we can't effort that right now.
What I am trying to say is train him somewhere more isolated. You understand?"
"Ok, I will do that."
And then they went home.
For the next week Yash and Naruto trained in an old training ground which was abandoned for a few years now. Naruto was improving smoothly so far and Yash started to liked being a trainer.
After both of them were done training they rested on the ground and started discussing about the training, unaware of the approaching group of kids. By the time Yash noticed they were already in front of them.
There were a total of 5 teenagers around the age of 14 surrounding Yash and Naruto. Naruto was exhausted from the training so if a fight broke out, Yash will have to fight all of them alone.
The biggest kid which probably was their leader walked up to Yash and pushed him. He was about to say something but Yash threw a strong right hook out of nowhere knocking the guy out.
Yash then ran up to another kid and threw an elbow. The elbow opened a big cut on the kid's forehead but the kid was not knock out. Yash followed up with 2 uppercuts and a cross not giving the kid anytime to recover. This combo landed perfectly but the kid was still not going down.
It might be because of the weaker body or bad shot placement but whatever the case, The attacks were not having the desired effects. Yash understood he didn't have any chance of winning so he grabbed Naruto and ran.
Unfortunately they couldn't outrun the 3 older less tired boys. Yash tried to fight them one last time, he turned around and performed a flying knee on the weakest one of the 3.
The attack landed on the boy's chest leaving him out of breath. Yash then shifted to face the other guys but before he could a punch hit his jaw completely knocking him out.
