Chapter 196

Mochizuki Hui in his full power was terrifying.

As his sword slashed through the air, it unleashed a net of dazzling silver sword energy, filling the sky and leaving no room for escape.

Seeing this, Gengetsu knew he couldn't avoid the attack with his speed alone.

He immediately used his Hydrification Jutsu to phase through the web of sword energy. As he reformed, his fingers shaped into a gun and launched high-speed Water Bullets toward Hui.

However, such an attack was nowhere near enough to harm Hui.

With a flicker of his sword, each Water Bullet was effortlessly shattered. Hui rapidly closed the distance between them, giving Gengetsu little room to maneuver.

But Gengetsu was not one to surrender so easily. He quickly formed hand signs.

"Water Style: Exploding Water Shockwave!"

This advanced Water Release Jutsu unleashed a massive torrent of water from his mouth, flooding the entire battlefield and transforming the terrain into a vast lake.

Gengetsu merged his body with the water, controlling its flow to launch attacks on Hui.

From the lake surged massive water dragons, roaring ferociously as they lunged toward Hui, their jaws wide open to crush him.

Hui, seeing this, felt his fighting spirit ignite. Raising both hands, he channeled natural energy, summoning his own water dragons.

The summoned beasts clashed mid-air in a chaotic frenzy, their bodies colliding and breaking apart into streams that rained back down to the lake.

Not to be outdone, Gengetsu controlled the water to form enormous whips, which lashed toward Hui with devastating force.

Boom! Boom!!

Each whip struck the lake surface with explosive impact, creating deafening roars and towering sprays of water.

Yet none of the whips managed to hit Hui. His agility and reflexes were far beyond what Gengetsu could match.

Weaving effortlessly through the onslaught, Hui formed a hand sign, summoning a razor-sharp water blade in his hand. With a mighty throw, the blade sped toward Gengetsu like an unstoppable missile.

"Hard Whirlpool Slash," Hui muttered.

It was a technique pioneered by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, and Hui had refined it further.

The attack was so powerful that Gengetsu dared not meet it head-on. Fortunately, his Hydrification Jutsu allowed him to dissolve into water, dodging the blade at the last moment.

Reforming at a distance, Gengetsu conjured water into a towering giant, a massive water clone that loomed over the battlefield.

Hui's eyes gleamed with recognition. He remembered this jutsu well; Gengetsu's descendant, Hozuki Suigetsu, had used it to temporarily hold his own against the Eight-Tails, even surviving a Tailed Beast Bomb at great personal cost.

As the water giant formed, it opened its mouth, launching massive Water Bullets that resembled miniature Tailed Beast Bombs.

Hui advanced with confidence, swinging his sword to deflect the incoming projectiles while closing the gap to the water giant.

In mere moments, Hui was directly beneath the giant. Gengetsu, seeing this, controlled the avatar to bring its massive fist down with crushing force.

Hui didn't dodge. Instead, he concentrated chakra into his fist, prepared to test his strength against the water giant's.

"Haah!" Hui shouted, his punch meeting the giant's descending fist.

The collision of their fists was a stark contrast; a colossal, overwhelming force of nature against Hui's seemingly fragile, human-sized fist.

Yet, an explosive shockwave burst from Hui's punch, shattering the water giant's fist into droplets and forcing the massive avatar to stagger backward.

Gengetsu's face paled at the display. "Such terrifying strength… That impact alone could destroy a person entirely," he muttered, a chill running down his spine.

Hui, invigorated by the fight, shouted, "Let's go at it again!"

He launched a series of punches at the water giant, each strike accompanied by devastating shockwaves that left gaping holes in its body.

The once-mighty water avatar was reduced to a patchwork of missing pieces, unable to keep up with Hui's back to back assault.

"Senjutsu: Super Strength!" Hui declared, enhancing his strikes with Sage Chakra.

The resulting power doubled, making his punches even more powerful.

Gengetsu felt a sense of dread as Hui's fist charged toward him. Every fiber of his being screamed that taking this head-on would result in severe injury or worse.

But escape was impossible. Though Hydrification Jutsu might save him, Gengetsu chose not to run. If he was destined to die, he wanted it to be a death worth remembering.

"Come at me!!!" Gengetsu roared, his eyes bloodshot as he pushed himself into a state of frenzied focus.

His blood boiled with adrenaline as he poured all his chakra into the water giant. Its fist grew darker and denser, glowing with an ominous blue hue.

Hui's excitement surged in response. His own fist began to radiate light, starting dim and gradually growing into a blinding brilliance.

From a distance, Danzo and the Konoha ninja, rushing to support Hui, stopped in their tracks as they witnessed the sight of a lifetime.

Hui stood on the water, glowing like a beacon, launching his fist upward to meet the descending punch of the massive water giant.

One fist, deep blue like the abyss.

The other, small but radiant like the sun.

When the fists collided, the world itself seemed to explode.

A blinding light engulfed the battlefield, forcing everyone to shield their eyes. The shockwave tore through the area, churning the lake into a maelstrom and creating a whirlwind that flattened everything in its wake.

Even from afar, the Konoha ninja were thrown off their feet by the sheer force of the aftermath.

Only a few managed to stay upright, bracing themselves against the wind and shielding their faces.

BOOM!!!

The deafening roar echoed long after the light and wind subsided.

As the lake settled, the ninja cautiously lowered their arms and looked toward the battlefield. Waves rippled across the water as it slowly receded.

Standing amidst the chaos was Hui, soaked from head to toe but utterly calm.

Water dripped from his hair and clothes as he gazed at the lifeless body of Hozuki Gengetsu, floating on the water's surface.

With that, the Second Mizukage, Hozuki Gengetsu—the last of the Second Generation Kage from the Four Great Shinobi Village alliance—was no more.

In the span of this war, the Second Raikage, A, the Second Kazekage, Shamon, the Second Tsuchikage, Mū, and now the Second Mizukage, Hozuki Gengetsu, had all fallen.

All at the hands of Mochizuki Hui.
