Chapter 93

Sighing, I had a feeling that something was amiss as I approached the room. Despite my enhanced senses, I couldn't seem to avoid this situation.

"Ugh, calm down Shenlong," I muttered under my breath, attempting to suppress the heightened arousal.

Ever since the passionate night I had shared with Bahamut, we hadn't engaged in intimate activities again. Additionally, I had been away in the dungeon for a whole month, leaving me quite sexually frustrated.

Witnessing a stimulating scene like that only further fueled my desires. With my lack of experience in matters of intimacy, I wasn't quite sure how to proceed.

Should I have a conversation with her or simply pull her into a passionate embrace and see where it leads? It was all new territory for me, especially considering my previous life as a great grand sage.

"Come in," Bahamut's voice snapped me out of my thoughts, inviting me back into the room.

Both she and Hephaestus were now fully dressed, with a hint of embarrassment coloring Hephaestus' face.

I quickly followed her gaze down to my crotch, which she was inadvertently staring at, while Bahamut simply nodded in understanding.

Hoping to make my predicament less evident, I hastily took a seat. I couldn't help but worry that Hephaestus might perceive me as just another horny guy and think less of me for it.

An idea crossed my mind, making me consider adding a cringe-worthy line to break the tension. Hephaestus' reaction to such a line could be amusing to witness, after all.

"Sorry about that, your beautifully crafted form was just too stimulating. A splendid reward for me," I stood up and approached Hephaestus, gently lifting her chin with my finger.

Closing the distance between us, I planted a peck on her cheek.

"Perhaps this will suffice as a reward and apology for my thoughtless actions earlier," I said with a playful smile.

Going for a full-on kiss would have raised red flags with Hephaestus. She was the type who preferred taking relationships slow and steady.

A bit of teasing was fine, but too much was a definite no-go, or at least, that's what I had gathered during my time with her.

Hephaestus' face lit up, her cheeks turning as red as her hair. I even thought I saw steam coming out from her head, although that was probably just my imagination playing tricks on me.

"Hephi, are you okay?" I asked with genuine concern, worried that I may have crossed the line with my teasing. Thankfully, Tsubaki wasn't around to exacerbate the situation further.

"Sigh, I think she just needs to lie down for a while," Bahamut said with an amused shake of her head.

She then pulled me into a warm hug and gave me a deep, passionate kiss. From the corner of my eye, I could see Hephaestus seemingly steaming, confirming that it wasn't just a visual hallucination.

"Welcome back," Bahamut whispered as we separated from our embrace.

She gently guided Hephaestus to the sofa, allowing her to rest her head on her lap.

Soon enough, Hephaestus' face returned to its normal color, and she drifted off to sleep.

"So, what just happened?" I asked, concerned for Hephaestus' well-being.

"Nothing, she's just tired. She's been working hard ever since you left to make sure she had free time for the date you promised her," Bahamut explained.

"Ugh, I'll have to make that date an experience she'll never forget," I declared.

"You better do," Bahamut replied with a grin.

As I considered her words, I resolved to make sure that Hephaestus had a memorable experience.

It was clear that her feisty reaction to my teasing meant she wanted more from our budding relationship.

"Seems that you have your hands full now. I had initially come to take your home, but guess we will be staying here for the night," I said to Bahamut, who kept using her tail to tug at mine while we sat on the sofa.

With Hephaestus' current condition, I knew that neither I nor Bahamut would leave her like this. It was already evening, too.

"So tell me all about your adventures in the dungeon during the expedition," Bahamut said.

I then spent the next few hours narrating my experience. There was no reason to hide anything from her anyway.

Well, her reactions were interesting to see when I mentioned the Goliath and green dragon, but she was quite supportive about it. It even seemed as though she expected that much from me.

Growl!

The sound of Bahamut's stomach rumbling stopped our conversation. She seemed embarrassed for some reason, which was one of the few times I had seen her embarrassed about something. She was usually an extremely bold person.

"I didn't realize that it was so late already. I should go and buy some food," I said, getting up from the sofa and unfurling my tail.

"What would you like to eat, and you too, Hephi?" I asked them.

We had noticed that Hephaestus had woken up at some point during my conversation with Bahamut but pretended to remain asleep.

"Anything's fine," Bahamut replied, poking at Hephaestus's funny bone.

"Hmm, Hmm," Hephaestus groaned, still pretending and trying not to react to Bahamut's actions.

"Just get her anything too," Bahamut said. Giving them both a peck, I exited the room into the streets to buy food.

After Draco left, Hephaestus hastily got up while holding her side. It appeared that she had been at her limit earlier.

"Why did you pretend to be asleep? You could have joined in anytime," Bahamut asked.

"I wasn't ready yet," Hephaestus stated while adjusting her eye patch.

"Sigh, you should get used to him soon, Hephi, or you both will not make progress," Bahamut said.

"I know," Hephaestus replied.

"Alright, enough of that. I can't wait to see my children's growth when I return home," Bahamut said.

"Yeah, it did seem like they went through a lot," Hephaestus said.

"I know that you want to make something for him after listening in on our conversation, but you should know it's not in our nature to owe debts. He will be fine; he is strong, after all. Besides, I have a feeling that he will commission you to make something for him within the next few months," Bahamut said.

"Really, that would be great," Hephaestus replied.

Knock! Knock!

"Come in," Hephaestus said as she heard a knock on her office door. It was Tsubaki.

"The Loki familia is here to see Bahamut-sama" Tsubaki said.

"I see, guide them to the guest area" Hephaestus replied.

"I also heard Draco is back and has been here for a while. Why hasn't he come to see me too?" Tsubaki playfully asked.

"Well, you can ask that when he returns," Hephaestus replied.

"So, are you going to see Loki?" Hephaestus asked Bahamut.

"Tsk, I have no idea why that flat-assed goddess would want to see me, but fine, let's go," Bahamut replied as they left to meet Loki.
