The three of us hung around together in silence, I sat with Avery down slowly in the corner as I felt her body nervously shaking a bit.

The topic of her killing a human just to save a demon must've been one hard memory to remember. It goes against her whole mission after, to protect humanity and erase the demons.

"You… Are you okay?" I ask, placing a hand on her shoulder as she assured me that she's alright.

"Yeah, I um… I don't think I want to talk about it anymore. I'm fine, I have to be." (Avery) insists and we really wanted to believe her.

"You are not… fine." (Kazari) replies looking worried as I was but Avery just laughs it off casually.

"Man, all this time I've been trying to keep myself together. If you keep telling me that I'm not fine I'm actually going to break."
