The Blind Bandit

We had came to the big village Toph came from. We sat outside a shop listening to Sokka contemplaining whether or not to get a bag. His indecisiveness wasted our time and it ended with me asking him whether or not he would use it and what he needed it for. In the end he decided that he were going buy i't since no one in our group got a bag. While i stayed with Sokka, Katara and Aang got a letter inviting them to a earthbending school. Katara suggested that I and Aang tried it out since that could be the teacher Aang was lokking for and i didn't know any regular earthbending methods. I declined as i felt that this teacher was way below my level. When school finished we waited for Aang outside the academy. When we where about to leave we heard to boys talk about an underground earthbending competition. Aang said he really wanted to go and Katara followed the boys and got us the tickets by violent means.

When we entered the we took the first row seats and sat down next to Katara. Aang asked why no one had taken the seats when i giant boulder nearly made Sokka one with the wall. In the center of the platform a man with long hair put on and impressive show of earthbending and annoounced himself -Welcome to Earth Rumble 6 I'm your host Shin Fu-. Katara then bored said -This is just going to be a bunch of guys throwing rocks at eachother-. I anwered -What were you expecting then-. She looked at me then silently went back to picking her nails.

Shin Fu countinued to announce the rules. When he was done he jumped onto a smaller platform and shouted -First round: The Boulder vs The Big Bad Hippo-.

Throughout the rounds there wasn't many things that managed to impress me. I just waited to this moment. -And now the moment we all have been waiting for The Boulder vs the reigning Champion. The Blind Bandit.- Toph stood on the platform with a cape and holding her belt over her head. Meanwhile on the stands Katara asked -She can't really be blind, it's just a part of her character right?- -I think she is.- Aang answered. I then said -Yes she is look at her eyes her pupils doesn't have any color.- -How do you know that.- asked Katara. -I just do.- On the Platform Toph and the Boulder were trash talking eachother. When Toph agitated him too much he took a step forward ready to attack her. But Toph bended so that his foot slipped to theside and he entered a very sudden and painful split. Then she cut forward with her hand making three pillars shoot him of the arena an embed him to the wall.

Shin Fu then announced her victory making the whole arena sigh. He then jumped onto the platform and challenged the viewers to defeat The blind bandit for a prize. As Aang was about to volunteer i held him back and said - Remember this is an earthbemding competition and you can't earthbend yet. Let have a try.- He stood back and nodded.

After his confirmation i jumped down onto the platform. Making a cloud of dust cover the whole arena. Once the dust dissipated i said - Can't say no to free money.- Toph just stood there and couldn't find any comeback. Because of that she got angry and started too concentrate. I started the fight by by making myself a sword out of the earth. She turned towards me and made a pillar to to throw me of the platform, but i jumped in the air and made the sword turn into small pebbles flying at incredible speed towards her. Because i attacked from the air she couldn't see were i was. The pebbles hit her making her distracted. I then disconnected her from the earth by lifting her on a another platform i made just under her. I bended so that the platform covered her whole body then threw it. She landed outside the arena and i got announced as the winner. While i Sokka and Katara celebrated up on the platform Aang went down to talk to Toph. But she ignored him and left trough the walls of the arena.

We went to the earthbending academy to look for after hints too where she lived. Inside the academy we met the two guys who told us about the Earth Rumble 6. They looked at us with disgust and said - Great you again.- Katara took a step forward to intimidate them. They quickly changed their attention towards me - Wow you're the guy who beat the blind bandit.- I was done with wasting time so i said - Yeah and if you guys don't want me to beat you too, you'll have to answer our questions. Where does the blind bandit live?- One of them answered and said - The blind bandit is a mystery she shows up to fight and disappeares right after.- Katara not satisfied with their answer ran forwards and pointed her finger at her chest. - You're not telling us everything.- The guy she pointed at backed up and said -I swear it's true no one knows where she lives or who she really is.- Aang then interrupted and said - That's because we're asking for the wrong person. I had a vision where i saw a girl in a white dress with a pet flying boar. Do you guys know anybody like that?- - Well a flying boar is the symbol of the Beifong tag family. They're the richest people in town probably the whole world.- - Yeah but they don't have a daughter.-

Aang satisfied with the answer turned towards us excitedly and said - Flying boar is Good enough for me. Let's check it out.-

We hid ourselves outside the Beifong mansion waiting till the coast was clear. We jumped over the wall and ran behind a bush so we could hide. Suddenly we i heard the sound of an earthquake and raised jumped just before the earth lifted itself and launched Aang, Katara and Sokka towards some bushes. I walked to the scene of Toph arguing with the others, she turned towards me, pointed and said -If you need a eartbending teacher why wont he train you, he clearly is better than me.- I answered by saying -My type of earthbending is too taxing on his body and i'm selflearned meaning i don't know any normal earthbending methods or how to teach them. -Even so it's not my problem, now leave or i'll call the guards.- She turned her back at us and was ready to walk away when Sokka tried to reason her to teach Aang. She turned around and made a helpless face while calling out. -Guards, guards! Help!- We quickly ran and hid behind the roof of the wall. I turned towards the others and whispered -If we can't get in this way we'll have to try another. We can use Aangs status as the Avatar to get in.

We had to wait for a while, but eventually we got in. They had catered us to a massive dinner. At the dinner Aang showboated to create a good impression on the parents and Sokka filled his stomach to the max with food. Until he went to the topic of learning earthbending, each time he tried to complement Toph she made sneak attacks under the table too make him stop. It ended with Aang sneezing to get revenge making everyones face on the other side of the table drenched in food. Toph's mother proposed that we went to desert in the living room to calm everybody down.

After the desert we were getting ready too sleep, Aang made sure that Appa was sleeping comfortably. While he was doing that Toph came to our room which surprised him. He entered a battlestance ready to fight but Toph said -Relax, im sorry about dinner, let's have a truce, ok? Toph invited him for a walk outside. He hesitated, but i edged him on. While they went outside Sokka went to the kitchen looking for more food.

I turned towards Katara pulled her closer by her waist and whispered. -Since it's just us two, why dont we try the things you've been talking about in your sleep.- Embarssed that i caught her she ran out of the room with a briggt red blush on her face. When she was out of sight i laughed and rolled all over the floor at her reaction.

Later rhe same day Sokka came into the room and shouted -Sifan, hurry up Aang and Toph have been kidnapped. I quckly got up from the bed and followed him to the wall of the mansion. There a bunch of people stood around a paper embeded to the ground with a knife. Katara picked up the paper and read it out loud -We have kidnapped your daughter and the Avatar. If you want to see them both, bring 500 pieces gold to the Earth Rumble arena. Singed Shin Fu and The Boulder.- Sokka snatched the letter and shouted -I can't believe it i have The Boulder's autograph!

Mr. Beifong made arrangements with Master Yu to get his daughter back i interrupted and said - Don't worry I'll get your daughter back safely.- -We're going with you.- I nodded and everyone made preperations to leave.

I knew the Beifong family wouldn't try to save Aang as his priority was always his daughter. Therefore i made a plan in my own head, so we could get some money to ourselves. When we arrived we saw Toph and Aang hang from the celling in metal cages. It made Mr. Beifong even more concerned. Sokka held the sack of gold and said. - We got the money now let them leave.- He dropped in front of Master Yu who shoved the sack of gold to them trough earthbending. Shin Fu counted the money and signaled for the cages to be lowered. To our surprise only Toph got lowered and immediately after Katara said -What about Aang?- Shin Fu held a bounty with the Avatar on it and said - I think the fire nation will give us a good price for him.- As he said that all the competitors from the contest appeared one after one. Aang told us to leave, but i stayed and said - No way. These guys are easy to beat.- Without warning i bended so that the Arena split in half and a giant source of water underneath the Arena surfaced like lava from i volcano. I turned towards Katara and shouted -If you want to help here is your bending source.- She smiled wickedly and returned using the water to seperate them from us. I told Sokka -Try to break Aang free while i take care of them.- I jumped over Katara's tall water stream and labded which caused an earthquake that dishelved the whole battlefield because i halfed the battlefield i had less space to move on, but so did they. I bended a hammer out of condensed earth and rotated my whole body causing me to hit most of the earthbenders with a devastating blow. Dust rose as i saw a silhouette in the dust. It was Shin Fu. Before he managed to attack I bended away the smoke and used it some of it to suffocate him until he lost consciousness.

I took the gold coins out of his pocket and said -This could be counted as payment for leaving us here right?- I looked at him with threatening eyes and he could only comply to my suggestion. We went back to the Beifong mansion and were told we had to leave the next day as we were not welcome there anymore. Before we went to sleep i told Toph -Even if i'm a better earthbender than you no could replicate it's essence like you do. You'll have to teach Aang earthbending and also you'll maybe get the freedom you've been looking so long after.- She didn't answer and only silently went to bed.

The next day we left early as we had to go before we got tracked down because we stayed at the same place for too long. When we were about to leave Toph came running and said - Wait for me, Wait for me. I managed to convince my father that i was strong enough to protect myself.- Aang happily let her get on Appa and said -Appa. Jipp, jipp.-
