Studying and Relaxing*
Melisa and Armia arrived at Javir's manor.
[Oh, sun's already setting. Might be well into the night by the time we're done working.]
As they approached the front door, Melisa could already hear some chatter pouring out from the windows.
[Ah, right. Today's one of dad's days off.]
Armia followed close behind. She seemed a little nervous. She usually did whenever she came around, her tail twitching restlessly.
They walked in.
"Mom? Dad? I'm home!" Melisa called out, taking off her shoes by the door. "And I brought a friend!"
Almost immediately, Margaret appeared from the kitchen, wiping her hands on a dish towel. Her crimson eyes widened with surprise (and delight) as she caught sight of Armia hovering awkwardly behind Melisa.
"Ah, Miss Duskscale!" Margaret said warmly, coming forward to greet them. "It's so nice to see you again!"
Armia ducked her head, a faint blush coloring her cheeks.
