Chapter 56 - Petty Trick

"—I would like to know the reason why you beat my son" the stout man who called himself  Belius Bestiare who was father of Magno Bestiare asked André with an annoyed look on his face.

"—he attacked me" André replied without fear of the man in front of him who was much taller than him and emitted an aura a little stronger than him, as he had Maya and Surr on his side who were at the peak of the kingdom of the magic king.

"—and why did he attack you?" Belius Bestiare asked move with narrowed eyes waiting for the answer of the man in front of him.

"—  I refused to give you one of my subordinates" André replied of the man with an unfriendly face, who clearly wanted a reason to attack and kill André for hitting his son.

"—and why would my son want your subordinate?" Belius Bestiare continued with the quiz, with a face that showed a dislike of André, but as he was a person of high status and that in the middle of a large crowd, that is, he cannot simply draw his sword and split André in half as commanded his heart.

"—He fell in love with her, but was rejected, and he didn't know how to deal with it." André answered his question, the next moment Belius turned towards Maya because he wanted to understand why his son acted so extreme because of a single woman, for being the son of the military chief of the city of Adnos, few women within the city would reject him.

Belius Bestiare froze at the sight of the divine figure of Maya, which displayed her beautiful and shining white hair, silky skin and smooth as silk, golden eyes that could outshine the best of gemstones, Belius swallowed hard, now he understood why his son had acted so extreme form, as this woman was capable of stealing a man's heart with just one look.

"—now we can go into the city or do you want something else" André spoke and with that took Belius out of his reverie, turning his attention to André, Belius looked at André with a stern look, but did nothing as he knew that André was only a little weaker than he was in cultivation and they also had Maya and Surr there who could be as strong as Andrew or more.

Knowing that it's not a good idea to face 3 magic kings at once, so he decided to defer this confrontation to a more suitable time when he has the upper hand.

"—Of course you can, just pay a fee of 1,000 pure crystals per person" Belius said that, but everyone knew, that was a super inflated price, including André but because it's a small amount from André's point of view, so he decided to ignore this petty trick and pay the requested amount.

Andrew looked at his space ring which displayed a surface that looked like scales if a dragon along with the figure of a dragon's head, Andrew's ring looked more like a dragon that was curling around Andrew's finger.

André activated his ring and in the next moment a small Mound of translucent white diamond-shaped crystals materialized on the ground right in front of Belius, baffling him, with the fact that 3,000 pure crystals came out of nowhere, this can only mean a thing, a space ring.

"—here are 3,000 pure crystals as you requested" André said after removing the crystals from his space ring but he didn't receive an answer as Belius was bewildered to realize that he just made it difficult for a space ring holder, André didn't know but space rings is an item that denotes one's status as they are extremely expensive and being able to find a forger who is willing and able to forge a space ring is such a difficult task that only high status people like very wealthy merchants , princes, princesses and high-ranking members of the highest nobility families would be able to pay and meet a forger with the ability to forge a space ring.

Petrified at the possibility of having made a high-status enemy, Belius was unable to utter a single word as his mind showed him the possible disasters that could befall him, having his position of military chief withdrawn, his beautiful wife leaving him, having his family killed by assassins, among others.

But what André didn't know was that the moment he entered the city, one of the soldiers that formed the battalion that followed Belius here, left his original position and headed towards a secluded corner where no one could interrupt his business, since no one was looking or paying attention to him, he removed from his pocket a kind of black polished stone with several runes on the surface he approached this stranger.ho circular object from his mouth and spoke.

"—sir, we found one of the targets" the soldier said and waited for an answer

"—which target are you talking about?" an unknown voice came from the small circular black object.

"—a basilisk, sir," the soldier replied

"- he is sure? You don't find a damned basilisk soup out there all the time" the unknown voice uttered with a skeptical tone.

"—yes sir, the item given to me has signaled to me" the soldier confirmed his earlier words and then withdrew an orb that displayed the figure of a serpent with glowing eyes and crests protruding from the top of its head.

"—um, what do you know about him?" the voice asked

"—not much, he looks about 20 years old, 1.80 tall, black hair with green streaks and green eyes and looks like he had cultivation at the magic king level" the soldier replied

"—I understand, you will be rewarded, don't do anything just observe and report" the unknown voice ordered

"—understood," the soldier replied, then the soldier returned to his original position and acted as if nothing had happened.
