A Mighty Foe

'I just recalled some past memories. Did I make it too obvious on my face?' Arabella looked around.

Her maids looked pale. And everyone was suddenly surrounded by magicians and her knights. Rendell was there too.

'Why are they here?'

"What's going on?" Arabella asked in confusion.

Alwin explained that she suddenly tensed and her expression looked grim.

Alwin was alarmed and thought she was horrified at something behind him so he instantly alerted Riley to bring Rendell and Arabella's guards.

Meanwhile, Arabella stared into space and didn't react to their voice at all like she could not see them. Her eyes did not blink as well even as Alwin tried to speak with her and wake her out of her stupor.

"I'm fine now. I just spaced out for a bit," Arabella said to stop everyone from panicking. They did not relax one bit though.

She reminded herself not to stay in her thoughts for too long and forget where she was or else she would alarm her guards like this.
