"She came and instantly picked"

"The girl's who she would want to be"

"His son's wife"

"A happy life for him she wanted to see"

The day had just started and William was full of excitement to meet his mother. He was impatient and couldn't wait to wrap his arms around his mother securing her in a warm hug. Today she was supposed to arrive in the mansion to meet her son and also stay with him for some days. For her,lunch had been finely prepared by the chef and the whole house was spotless. William himself had gotten ready earlier then usual. He wore a shirt opposite to the colour of his hair and pants which were the same as the colour of his hair. On top of the shirt there was a jacket to keep him warm due to the cold temperature of the winter season.

A smile appeared on William's face as Bryan brought him outside where the gate was being opened for Gabriella. When the gates were out of her way she stepped on the land,a marble path infront of her and the rest of the ground was covered by a large blanket of green grass.

She took hurried steps and reached the end of the path where William was. She embraced him wrapping her arms around him locking him in a hug. A rush of happiness flowed inside him when he felt the warmth of his mother's love. Gabriella filled his face with kisses and said

"My dear. How are you?" Gabriella cupped his face and he smiled when her eyes went on Bryan.

"Oh Bryan how are you?"

"Iam all well Madam Gabriella" he told her in return to which she added

"That's great to know"

"Madam we should go inside. I will ask the chef to make tea for you" William used the remote to move his wheelchair inside and the female and the male went after him.

The chef brought the tea for William's mother and the others. Gabriella had a lot to tell and a bunch to ask from William.

"William dear is your current caregiver giving you the right treatment?"she asked her son knowing well about how his previous caregivers was. The only one whom she was satisfied with was Jurin when William told her about her but she was not pleased knowing that his caregiver has once again been changed.

"Yes mother. Karina is doing her work nicely"

He had just mentioned her name when she emerged from her room and went downstairs. Karina saw them and she knew that the women sitting with them was none other them William's mother.

"Hello auntie"

"Hello you must be Karina" Karina nodded her head and then questioned Bryan

"Did you receive the mail brother?" The mail was about some things which were connected to Karina's boutique and its business.

"Yes I did"

"Brother?. Bryan is she your sister?"Mrs Anderson asked while turning her head from Bryan to Karina realizing the simalirties they shared in facial features.

"Yes madam she is my younger sister"

"Karina why not sit with us?"Mrs Anderson invited her to sit with the three and Karina not wanting to reject her invite sat down making the number of people there change from three to four.

They then had a good lunch and when William was finished eating Karina got up and went to get William's pills. His mother watched as Karina gave William the pill and he swallowed the medicine. The rest of the day went by with Gabrielle staying with her son spending the best time. On the other hand she also was examining Karina's actions and her deportment which was polite and respectful.

"William"she called his name

"Yes mom" William who was gently passing his hands on Minton's fur waited for some seconds to know what she wanted to say to him.

"Bryan told me that you experienced sleep paralysis once again?" Told Gabriella with a worried expression on her face. She was concerned for William and his well being having this in mind that his life went downhill after the accident.

"Yes,but you don't have to worry. It doesn't occur to me now"Gabriella sighed and fondled his hair thinking about something but at the same time she was unsure of it.

"When are you going to get married? William's mother asked bringing up a strange subject on which William wasn't interested to talk about and hence replied with

"I don't know. I don't have any plans now and mom iam not expecting to receive love from someone because who would love a man who can't walk and be independent?"

"Why are you talking like that huh?. Your good looking and belong to a rich family. You are the only heir of what we have. Just because you can't walk doesn't mean you aren't worthy of someone's love and affection" Gabriella didn't bring his opinion into consideration and instead told him hers while not being happy at his vision towards marriage.

"Mom my hope to walk vanishes quick because after a day in the hopeful thoughts of the fantasy Iam pulled back to the cruel reality which is my fate."His mother kissed William's cheek. His words and view of his life made her sad"

"It all will be alright. Iam sure that one day my son will be back on his legs and when that day comes promise me that you will run to hug me" She placed her pink finger infront of him and William intertwined his smallest finger with his mother's pinky and made the promise with her.

But would destiny give him a chance to fulfill that promise?

It was night time. Sheets of darkness had taken over the sky and the stars twinkled while the natural satellite of the earth shined with it's light. William was in his room asleep and so was Karina. The chef had also left some time ago and the mansion was captured by silence. Not even Minton's meows were there. Bryan was sitting on the sofa in the living room when his Madame Gabriella came outside from William's room and sat on the sofa where Bryan was.

"Madam Gabriella what happened?. You are still awake" Bryan showed his surprise and Madam Gabriella began to speak

"Bryan can I say something to you?"

"Ofcourse Madam say what you want to" Gabriella held back at first and perceiving that Bryan stood up from the couch leaving a dent on the place where he was sitting at for a long time and entered the kitchen. Not knowing what Bryan was up to Mrs Anderson waited for him to come back. She was waiting for him to come back but little did she know that he was going to come back with two cups of hot coffee.

"Here"he handed her a cup of coffee out of which smoke was coming up. He kept his cup on the table. William's mother took a sip of the beverage and felt comfortable. Observing the little smile on her face Bryan got an idea that she now she will be able to speak freely he asked her

"So what did you want to say to me Madam?"

Before starting the lady exhaled

"Bryan you know that the happiest moment in the parents life is to see their kid make their own family"

"It sure is"

"And the thing is that I want to experience that moment. I want to see my William be happy with someone who can take great care of him and someone who will take great care of him." Bryan getting big hints of the situation twisted his lips before letting out his question

"Are you thinking about getting William married?"

"Yes,Bryan iam" Bryan took some sips of the coffee and then thought about the plans Mrs Gabriella has for William.

"Madam I know that you are extremely aware that nowadays nobody can be trusted but if you are talking about William to get married then I believe that you must have found someone for him" Bryan spoke and William's mother felt understood by him. He was getting the right idea of everything Gabriella was talking about.

"Yes,Bryan I have found someone for him"she said and since Bryan trusted Gabriella as William was her only son he had in mind that she won't make any bad choices for him

"Who is she?. A family member of a close relative?" The head man of William inquired trying to pull the curtains of words behind which Gabriella was hiding the girl who she had picked to be William's future life partner.

"You can say that"

"Madam tell me who she is because now iam curious"Bryan finished his coffee and placed the cup back on the table. Mrs Anderson also drank her coffee till nothing was left and then told Bryan the unforseen.

"Karina"

Bryan's became confused if he heard it right or not. He was washed over by shock but his eyebrows became furrowed as he thought about the name. However he wondered if the girl who his madam was talking about has the same name as his sister.

"Is that her name?"

"I don't know. What is your sister's name then?" The women said bringing the whole matter into sense. Bryan looked at the lady with surprise realizing that she was presenting William's proposal for his only sister.

"Madam isn't it too quick?. I mean you have only met Karina once and that is today so wouldn't that be too fast?. You don't even know her well" Bryan presented his thoughts and opinions Infront of Gabriella who answered him with

"Bryan I saw Karina taking care of William and I saw that William was comfortable with her and so was she. She is your sister and I don't really think I have to think twice to trust her with the responsibility of my son" The situation became serious andwas not to be taken delicately as Bryan wondered how Karina would respond to this. The most important part of marriage is the agreement of the bride and the groom.

"Madam it's nice to hear that but does William know about this?" As a reply his master's wife quietly shook her head.

"Karina also has no clue. What if both of them don't want this and if one out of the two opposes the marriage then it would.be impossible to carry out the the marriage " Bryan putted the basic and necessary to be followed condition of weddings infront of Gabriella which was important if his sister and her son were to establish a relation.

"I understand your concerns Bryan. I think William may be able to let go of his past and move on but for Karina you will have to talk to her"

"I will talk to her about this in the morning Madam"

"Thank you Bryan" Gabriella looked at the clock ticking the time away and then yawned covering her mouth with her hand which had a ring in one of the five fingers.

"Iam sleepy now. Goodnight Bryan"

"Goodnight"The man stood up on his feet and went to his room. He was left thinking about what his sister might say about this.

"Would she accept it or refuse?"Bryan said in the silence of his room taking turns from here to there. He kept on changing his posture and moved the blanket continually putting it on his body, taking it off and throwing it from the bed.

Where Bryan was having a hard time to fall asleep the male and female whose minds were empty about the proposal Gabriella had presented to Bryan slept peacefully. They slept in their separate rooms but maybe there was a chance for them to be sharing a room in the future.

About that they didn't know and so didn't Gabriella and Bryan because their answers would decide if the rest of their life's were to be spent with each other or not.

And that only the rays of the sun of the next morning would tell. Except for that it was winter and the sun barley shone in the sky.
