It was late at night when Li Qiang drove in.

Xin Yan had already put the kids to sleep, and she was in the room, waiting for Li Qiang to return.

"Yan," Li Qiang called out when he walked into the living room.

Xin Yan heard her name, and she turned to give him a look.

"You are quite late today," Xin Yan commented with a smile.

"I was held up by something, were you waiting for me?" Li Qiang asked, as he pulled her into his arms when he got to her.

He sniffed her hair, and he sighed in relief. Li Qiang felt at peace just by having Xin Yan in his arms.

"If I don't wait for you, who do I want to wait for? You are my life," Xin Yan was able to return Li Qiang's energy, as she leaned into him.

"I have something to say to you," Li Qiang spoke up, breaking the silence in the room. His voice sounded urgent, and Xin Yan became worried at once.
