Chapter 204: There's Meat to Eat
"I smell the aroma of meat, we're definitely having meat tonight." Chuner put down her carrying basket and ran eagerly to the kitchen, wanting to see what delicious dish Xuexue had prepared.
They had been eating sweet potatoes for the past few days, so no wonder she was so eager. Madam Xie shook her head with a smile.
"Wow! It smells amazing!" Chuner poked her little head into the kitchen and sniffed hard, clearly enjoying the aroma.
Xuexue and Big Bull in the kitchen laughed at her humorous reaction.
"Chuner, can you get full just by smelling? Then later you won't need to eat," Xuexue teased with a laugh.
"Who says! I'm just taste testing; the real meal is still to come." Chuner dashed into the kitchen and peered into the pot. Upon seeing a dish of tantalizing braised pork, her eyes sparkled, and she quickly snatched a piece to pop in her mouth. Chewing thoughtfully, she closed her eyes, a look of contentment on her face.
"Little glutton," Xuexue chuckled.
