Double happiness

The entire city was in great spirit as today was the dragon boat festival. The lake for normal visits and enjoyment was prepared grandly. The pavilion used once in a year was opened and cleaned for the royals and nobles.

People had already surrounded the lake to watch the boat race and participants were getting all sort of cheers to win. Soon one after another the royals and nobles started to fill the pavilion.

People cheered upon seeing their crown prince loudly expressing their happiness. Today beside the royal couples and two sons, second princess Pei Shiting and sixth prince Pei xiu were also present.

Born from concubine shu the dowry maid of the empress they always have been very quiet and obedient. Though children of other women empress was still much kinder to them in compared to other children of emperor. As it was empress who had consented concubine shu in harem to balance the harem.

Concubine shu has been loyal to the royal couples to this day, never having crooked thoughts and raised her children with same mentatlity. Though the son was just 10 years old becoming the youngest among all prince, princess shi ting has finished her coming of age.

If not for Yusheng hating the presence of second women concubine shu too have been present for this event. As in current it was only the empress and concubine shu inside the big harem living very relaxed days.

It is a honour and the most fortunate for the entire Nanling and to Pei Clan that our future crown princess is none other than the esteem lord of the valley.

Zhen personally sought out to ask for her hand and fortunate to receive her agreement. The great sage of dragon temple himself has matched the birth characters saying the match is made in heaven only found once in thousand years. The date will also be set by the great sage by the end of the year after his blessing.

Beloved people, Zhen today glady presents you our future crown princess lord of the valley Liu Yusheng" he shows his hand towards both Pei Jin and Yusheng who had just joined beside him.

First the crowd was in shock but soon loud cheers and auspicious words were given to the new couple. The entire place was jovial making both of the royal couples happy and glowing.

Pei Jin raises his hand signaling he had something to share making the crowd quite "Beloved people, it is my fortune from past live and this for esteem lord to be benwangs future wife. Benwang has no doubt on the great sage who has prophesied that esteem lord is a blessing for benwang and the entire Nanling bestowed by the heavens itself for prosperous future.

Hence benwang today would like to declare that though a crown princess she is still the lord of the valley, above thousand none below. Her authority and privilege still the same. Even for benwang she is and will always be the mighty and venerated lord of valley before benwangs princess.

And benwang expects for all beloved people of Nanling to share the same sentiments. For she is not a person born to be caged but a blessing by heavens to bless our lives. Her authority shall not be undermined or challenged in any situation" finishes Pei Jin leaving the entire crowd suprised and in awe.

While Yusheng gripped her hands that was held by him. The warmth seeping in her soul, she knew he had declared such words in public for her. To establish her pride, authority and privilege among all the people specially among the nobles and royal branches.

To have any thoughts of taking advantage of her nipped at the bud in name of being a part of royal family and duties. Pei Jin was securing her rights to have free hand in valley without getting binded by the title of crown princess.
