Chapter 89 : To suffer a hundred fold.

Nectar fussed over his hand, using her ice magic to try and cool it down, " You shouldn't do dumb stuff like that ". Liam only shrugged, " You know you can't come in contact with a fire that massive ".

Nectar felt her voice crack, " It doesn't mean I want you getting hurt for me ". She heard a frustrated sigh and looked over at Caitlin " Stop ignoring me you lowly peasant ". Nectar frowned, putting Liam's hand down gently " You're quite dumb, you should have run ".

Caitlin shivered mockingly " I'm so scared ". Nectar only laughed, creating an ice staff " You should be ". Without delay, she threw the staff at her. It didn't hit but instead exploded into tiny shards.

It completely cooled off Caitlin's attack but Nectar only waved her hands and the shards split into two groups, piercing her arms from shoulder to hand like tiny blue needles.

Caitlin didn't feel it at first, thinking she could melt it out but they suddenly started sinking deeper and becoming colder, the pain increasing with it " You should really check who you're trying to mess with ".

Caitlin collapsed on her knees as she looked up at Nectar [ How can she have the same aura as Big Brother. She's obviously not a demon ] " I'm a princess of Verflog, soon to be queen of Sepafi. I command you to release me ". Nectar only smirked, " And I'm the one who's gonna whoop your ass ".

She closed her fists and the needles sunk in even more, " A hundred fold, you will suffer his pain a hundred fold till he gets better ". Caitlin could only gulp back her fear and screams and nodded watching as Nectar left.

Holding unto her arms, she could feel the tiny holes Nectar had put in her dress, it was like a harsh winter had taken over her body and she couldn't keep warm. Clenching her chattering teeth, her anger increased " This isn't how it was supposed to go ".

" Did you really have to do that?, I'm fine ". Nectar didn't answer as she continued using ice magic on his hand " I'm tired Liam, let's just go back ". Though Fire was the natural enemy of her element, she'd rather stay sick in bed for a while than see him get burnt.

[ I almost lost him the first time that way ] It was hunting season and they'd gone out with Howard for a ride. Then they bumped into a lava bear, Liam being as loyal and stupid as always got himself hurt.

He'd gotten half his beautiful face burnt and blind in his left eye, Nectar didn't mind but he insisted on wearing a mask from then on. Clenching his uninjured forearm, she decided [ I can't let anything happen to you, the world should keep seeing my handsome Millie ]

" Put the coat on, it's a lot bigger so it should hide your wound for a while ", Liam seemed adamant at first but Nectar was persistent and helped him put on the coat. Though he didn't put it on the normal way, his broad shoulders were enough to keep it on.

She in turn put his jacket on since she got tired of holding it. They'd barely spent anymore time in the hall when Nectar heard a familiar voice, " I thought I'd never find you Nectar ".

Nectar wrinkled her nose as she turned around and smiled, " Nice to see you too sister ". Nova waved it off, trying to reach out for her, " Don't act so cold, we're sisters Qudi ".

Nectar's fake smile dropped as she swatted the hand that reached out for her, " We are not close, don't call me that ". Nova seemed surprised by the sudden wall built up against her [ Why isn't the salt spell working? ]

Nova sighed, looking at Liam who had an expressionless look on his face " You're probably mad at me for not coming to your wedding, that's understandable. But could you let me have a few minutes alone with General Soul here ".

Scanning him from head to toe, she smiled " He's being slipping through my fingers all night ". Nectar's eyes held no warmth as she smiled, " You don't seem to understand me, You're not close to either us. You'll have to book an appointment ".

Nova felt her face twitch as she pinched herself, " But it's very urgent sister, don't be like this ". Nectar sighed, holding Liam's arm possessively " No sentiment, make an appointment if it's urgent ".

Liam sighed, holding Nectar's hand despite the blisters " It'll be alright. It's just a conversation ". Nova smiled triumphantly, expecting Nectar to go along but she had a slight frown on her face.

" I wasn't talking to you. I don't want to see you right now ", She began pulling Liam away and Nova caught her other arm smiling through clenched teeth " We're not done here, I really need to talk to General Soul ".

Nectar shook the hand off and pulled Nova closer, whispering in her ear "If you think you can take him away from me, you will beg me to kill you crown princess ". Nova felt herself stiffen [ So much killing intent ]

Nectar's eyes even seemed to have a red glow behind them but quickly dissipated as she patted her cheek and smiled, " It was so nice to see you sister, let's catch up another time ".
