Chapter 82 : I'd rather walk.

Nectar had braided small strands of her hair on the two sides, bringing them together to form a sort of headband, keeping her hair in one place and the braid being the center piece as well.

Nichole ran back to the room and brought back a drawer full of button sized hairpins perfect for what she had in mind. By the time they were done, Nectar's hair looked like a slightly over grown forest.

Flowers, leaves and ladybug shaped hairpins had being placed in her hair. Liam had already left the room and Nectar brought out her mana stone, " We can test this out, see if it can connect that far ".

August frowned, pointing at the door " Brother Li said this is very important ". Nectar waved it off, " Don't worry too much, it'll be fine. You guys in ". Mario nodded, " I'm in ". They all nodded after and Nectar went on, " You guys should stay together and with your mana stones. I want to try something ".

Mario nodded, " Alright, we can stay in my room ". Nectar smiled suddenly hugging him close to her chest, " You're so sweet Rio " and planted a kiss on his check before running out.

Jewlica had put on some dark purple lipstick for her and about half of it was Mario's face. The boy blushed, holding his cheek " Did she just kiss me "? Nathaniel chuckled, poking the purple kiss mark on his cheek " The empress just stole you're first kiss...Lucky you ".

They all laughed when the three girls jumped on him, " Then I'll be the second ". August joined in on the fun while Nathaniel rubbed his chin " I should get Sister Qidu to kiss me too. Girls would be all over me ".

Nectar was surprised when she stepped out her palace gates [ What's a sedan chair doing here? ] The thing looked magnificent and was definitely eye catching even now, after dark.

Nectar used it often in her first life till she felt out and into a pond. She'd only being soaked but the dangers of a moving chair was just to horrifying to her and she felt bad for the servants that would have to lift it.

Dodwen appeared on the other side and saw Nectar blankly staring at it [ She must be too ecstatic for words ] " Do you like it my empress "? Nectar nodded, tilting her head to the side " Are you picking someone else? They must be very important to have a sedan chair take them".

Dodwen thought she was being sarcastic but she made no move towards the chair and was even looking around for the owner, " You're majesty, this is for you ". Nectar blinked a few times, pointing at herself " Me, why would I sit in that "?

Liam appeared then, patting her head " Because I said so. Lord Holmes has put a lot of effort into getting it ". Nectar shook her head, " That's sweet and all but I can walk. You take it ". Liam only smirked, pointing at the servants still kneeling next to the handles, " Then we'll just kill them ".

Dodwen and Nectar were surprised, " Why would you do that "? Liam shrugged, " I don't need a reason, get in the damn chair ". Nectar pouted, unwillingly sitting in the chair [ Don't let me fall guys, please ]

Nectar barely opened her eyes as she clawed at the handles praying these servants wouldn't take revenge on her for what Liam said. A few minutes later and they got there.

Nectar was more than relieved when her feet touched the floor and she pulled Liam's ear lightly, " Don't do such silly things again ". Liam only nodded and they waited for Dodwen, " What exactly am I doing here "?

Liam sighed, squishing the sides of her face " Don't think to much my empress, think of all of those sweets and desserts waiting for you inside ". Nectar's eyes brightened, " Alright let's go ".

Dodwen felt his mouth twitch [ She didn't come for Eros, she came for the sweets. He mustn't know that ] Then he went in, the other envoys were already in but he couldn't find anyone to announce her presence. Nectar might not mind but Liam would just skin him.

So he decided to personally announce, " Presenting the empress of the Lishflour Empire, Her majesty, Nectar Socta followed by her personal knight, General Liam Soul ". The entire room had turned and whispered, wondering why the empress didn't come with the emperor but then again, his right hand man had announced their presence.

Nectar smiled slightly, whispering to Dodwen as she passed, " Thank you ". Dodwen smiled, after all the stress he'd had to go through tonight, that felt move to hear [ I just hope Eros realizes he has something valuable quick ]

Nectar saw Athena standing not too far away as she made small talk with some noble women. She didn't seem entirely happy as Nectar walked towards her. They all gave a curtsey and Nectar waved it off.

Nectar suddenly took hold of Athena's hands, surprising everyone " Your banquet is beautiful sister. You have an amazing sense of style ". Athena felt dazed as she smiled [ That was unexpected...she's not taking credit for my work? ]

An older noble lady who had a fan to her nose and spoke, " We've being waiting for you all night your majesty ". Nectar frowned slightly, holding Athena's shoulders " Why would you do that when my representative is right here "?

Athena felt even more confused but Nectar was already going off in another direction. Athena couldn't chase after her as she was suddenly surrounded by more nobles but she smiled [ I guess we can go one night without sabotaging each other ]
