Chapter 79 : Preparing for the banquet.

Kancor sighed as he let Caitlin do the buttons on his shirt. Though they weren't necessarily on good terms, she'd developed the habit of buttoning his clothes. When he lost his memory, he forgot how to do some basic stuff but he felt it was mostly because he wore button less shirts.

Which only made it stranger since all his clothes had buttons, " What is the essence of this "? Caitlin smiled excitedly, " It's the official beginning of the peace celebration. This is just the welcoming banquet, as in welcoming us to their land ".

He was not impressed, " I'd rather sit here and write ". Caitlin pouted slightly, " You can do that another time. Can you at least smile ". He remained poker faced and she went on sweetly, " And I'll get you some phoenix feathers. Dodwen says it takes decades before they turn to ashes ".

Kancor rubbed his chin thoughtfully, " Really "? Caitlin nodded, smoothing out his already wrinkle free shirt. " Would you're brother even give them to me "? Caitlin nodded seriously, " Of course, as long as you behave ".

Kancor shook his head lightly " Alright, I guess I can try to be interested ". Caitlin nodded, pulling the sleeve of his grey coat, " Then we have to move quickly before you change your mind ".

" Stand straight, don't look so miserable ", Fay had been drilling instructions in his head for five minutes which felt like five years.

He had on a lighter shade of green matched with a pale pink dress shirt, " And button your shirt, you're not going to a brothel ". Luscious rolled his eyes, " I only left the first two open, I wore a suit. Don't push your luck ".

Fay sighed in defeat, her brown ears twitching. She was in a pale pink pantsuit with green tendril patterns that seemed to crawl towards the stiff collar. She had on a gold choker and simple dangling earrings.

She then matched it with black wedge like boots, Lucy had tried to get her to dress more ladylike but she felt she could react a lot better in a crisis dressed this way. Lucy wore a long pink dress that transformed to green towards the end and had little roses blooming at the end.

" Can we go now, I'm sick of pink ". Fay glared at her, " These are Nisrag's colours so deal with it ". Lucy sighed, she had a choker like collar with long pieces of fabric that went all the way to her wrists. It was more like an open long sleeve.

She had on a simple chain and circle studs. Her navy blue curls flowed effortlessly behind her, drawing more attention to her cat ears and claw like fingernails. Luscious glanced at her, " Why does she look so good "? Fay frowned, " What's that supposed to mean "?

Luscious became even more dramatic, hugging a surprised Lucy to his head " She's too beautiful, what if some bastard tries to steal her away from me "?

Lucy blushed slightly getting out of his grip, " That's not funny Brother ". Luscious chuckled lightly, watching her stomp off " They grow up so fast ".

" Bonsi are you listening "? Bonsi glanced at him and nodded, putting Archie's little red jacket on him " Of course, something about serious business ".

Axis sighed, his red hair was in a tight bun now. He had on dark red trousers and a matching silk shirt with a long overall like robes and black boots all brought together by a gold belt, " This isn't a vacation ".

Bonsi got up, revealing the sequin covered dress that morphed from a bright red to a black hue matched with red heels, she pouted slightly giving a little wiggle " Don't I look pretty? Say I'm pretty ".

Axis felt his mouth twitch [ She's more block headed than Luscious ] " You look ravishing ". Bonsi clapped for herself, picking the black fur like shoal to complement her outfit. Her hair was in a complicated ponytail revealing her pointed ears and the gold piercings that adorned it.

" You look handsome too. Don't you think so Archie "? Archie nodded, he had on thick black pants and a matching silk shirt. He had on dark red overalls and a belt like his father, " Of course, I wanna be just like father when I grow up ".

Axis sighed as he held out his arm for Bonsi to hold while he carried Archie with the other, " I can already feel the regret creeping in. This better end soon ". Bonsi happily took his arm between her hands, not caring for his comment " I think it'll be unforgettable, you won't regret this ".

Nova didn't bother going all the way to Welcoming Castle, it would soon be sunset officially starting the banquet and if she went there, she'd have to greet all of them in accordance with the etiquette [ I can do that at the banquet ]

She was able to take a quick bath and change. She wore a royal blue long dress with slits that reached her mid thigh with silver stockings underneath. Actso was quite humid because of all the water bodies scattered within it.

She had a liking for fish net leggings since her mother told her that was how she attracted her father. Though she wasn't here to seduce anyone, a little good luck would be nice so she wore black ones on top.

Matched with nylon like ankle boots, other fabrics could be ruined easily in Actso. She had on silver fingerless gloves that reached her elbow, the only skin now showing were her upper arms.

She had on silver layered necklace that brought attention to the bust she'd half heartedly hid and starfish shaped dangling earrings. Her crystal blue hair was in curls over and behind her shoulders and her clear white eyes seemed to resemble see foam.

Nova felt satisfied with her outfit and saw Dimitri. He had on a suit of the matching color and a silver silk dress shirt and boots. He had a black ascot as well. His brown hair had been styled and gelled back only bringing more attention to those still bored silver eyes.

He looked her up and down and smirked, " You look nothing like the witch you are your highness ". Nova's mouth twitched as she refused to frown, " And you're quite stupid, I could have your head taken ".

He shrugged, holding out his arm for her to take " You can't keep up with one head, how will you cope with two princess "?
