Chapter 77 : A very bad fever.

Axis was surprised when he saw Kancor, he wasn't hunched back or had bags under his eyes or that disgusting creepy smile on his face. He seemed distant and seemed to be looking for someone as he surveyed the courtyard.

[ Let's hope this goes well ] Axis and Kancor met in the middle and Kancor tilted his head to the side slightly as if observing him [ He does look familiar ] Axis held out a hand and smiled, " Nice to see you again Kancor, you're looking better ".

Kancor smiled slightly, shaking him " Nice to see you too... ". He couldn't remember the name since he paid so much attention to placing the face but Caitlin jumped on him, holding the arm still in a handshake, " Good to see you Brother Axis ".

Kancor only nodded in agreement and the handshake ended, he gently pried her fingers off his arm " You two must have a lot of catching up to do, I'll leave you be ", turned around and left.

Kancor didn't get far as he was stopped by Bonsi [ We really do look alike ] He was basically a slightly younger version of her with shorter curly hair and darker red eyes. She smiled, pinching his cheek, " You've gained some weight Konnie, you're cheeks have more color too ".

Kancor nodded, rubbing his cheek " Nice to see you too sister ". Bonsi frowned, putting her palm to his forehead " Do you have a fever? You never call me sister ". Kancor's lip twitched slightly [ But you're my sister ] and he shrugged, " Two months ago I had a fever and I can't seem to remember much so do forgive me ".

Bonsi's eyes misted some as she suddenly held his head to her chest [ She's quite quick and strong ] He was a head taller than her and he had to bend to avoid breaking his neck, " I'm so glad. The fever taught you some respect ".

Kancor's eyes widened in shock [ That was anticlimactic ] and he gently pried her soft hands off his neck " Was I that big a jerk "? Bonsi nodded firmly, " It's so good to see my baby brother all grown up ".

Kancor didn't know to react to that but it seemed oddly familiar, he was surprised when he felt something kick him. He looked down and saw a reddish blonde mop of hair, " What are you doing "?

The little boy pointed at himself, " I'm her baby, you can't just steal her from me ". He raised an eyebrow as the little boy kicked him again " If you want her that badly, keep her ".

The boy got even angrier, " You saying my mother's not good enough for you "? He was even more confused now and picked the boy by the collar " Of course not, I just don't think I'd win in a fight ".

The boy had a smug smile on his face as he kissed his knuckles," You're right, I'd beat you up. But since you know your place, I can share ". Kancor nodded, fist bumping the little guy's fist, " That's even better, I'll let you know when I want to borrow her. How's that sound "?

Archie nodded, smoothing out the creases on his shirt as he was placed on the ground. He looked at Bonsi, eyes filled with approval " His good enough mother, I can let you hug him but no calling him baby, I'm your baby ".

Bonsi pouted slightly, picking him up and kissing his cheek " My mistake baby, so sweet of you to fight for me like that ". Kancor smiled as he watched them leave. When the back image of a woman with white curls holding a little girl and laughing flashed through his mind.

Shaking his head, he ran his hand through his hair and began walking towards the entrance " I really need to get a grip or I'll really go insane ".

He was so lost in thought, he didn't realize he'd bumped into someone or at least something strong and sturdy and absent mindedly apologized " Sorry about that, I wasn't looking where I was going ".

Luscious was surprised by that, [ Did he just apologize? ] He couldn't help but smirk as he watched him leave " What sort of fever causes a drastic change in personality "?
