Chapter 74 : She'll find me.

Kancor heaved a sigh of relief as he saw small specs of black on the horizon [ I've never being so happy to see land ] Though his journey was only a week, that didn't make his sea sickness any better.

Sepafi was South East of Lishflour and had kept peace with them for over a century now. Kancor had no idea why he had to be here when there was already peace.

Caitlin smiled faintly at him, looking up from her book " You're stories are getting better Cor ". Kancor nodded slightly " I told you not to call me that, we're not that close ".

Caitlin's smile froze as she nodded " Of course Kancor, I'm sorry ". Kancor couldn't even be bothered with her either. As they neared Lishflour, he felt more at ease and he was sure it wasn't the sea sickness subsiding.

Truthfully, his mind was a mess. He felt like he'd been somewhat possessed, filled with memories that were both foreign and familiar to him. But the clear image of a girl with white hair holding sunflowers haunted him.

He'd been having nightmares like this for about two months now. That was when his memories became blurry. From what he'd gathered, he used to have a sick body and behaved oddly but he felt just fine and even energetic.

And this woman beside him was his crown princess, Caitlin Vogs and sister of Axis Vogs. He also learnt his sister had married him and he even had a little nephew. He had no impression of these people and he was hoping this trip could help him gain some of his old memories.

" Do you have anymore stories Kancor, they're quite interesting "? Kancor sighed as he got up, " Don't patronize me, just call me when we reach land ". Caitlin reached out for his coat but stopped herself.

Swallowing the lump in her throat, she nodded " Alright ". Kancor didn't look back and Caitlin didn't look up. Two tears landed on the book in her hand and she laughed to herself, " It seems like he'll never forgive me ".

Athena's disappointment had quickly turned to excitement when Dodwen informed her of the continuation of the banquet.

Though the empress usually took charge of events like this - the female ruler basically hosting the entire celebration. It also meant a chance to give Nectar a slap in the face and show her reality. She was nothing more than a show piece.

Nectar didn't seem to mind letting her plan it. She expected some sort of sabotage but everything was smooth sailing, no complications whatsoever. But after tonight, she would make her wish she'd paid her more attention.

All other Royal concubines and Imperial consorts would be present as well as a few high ranking nobles. But she had no intention of inviting Nectar and when she did show up, she'd only embarrass herself before the other countries.

She'd take that chance to introduce herself and build good relationships with them. She'd make sure to leave a lasting impression on them so they wouldn't even realize the fact she wasn't empress [ Aren't I the smartest? ]

Luscious was annoyed when he was informed that the banquet would be held tonight [ I guess I'll go visiting another time then ]

Fay, Lucy and Bonsi had already began preparing for the night, the dresses, the presents, the etiquette. Axis, Archie and Bonsi sat at a round stone table watching them try to do everything at once without laughing.

Luscious sighed as he looked at Axis with a smile, " Kancor will be here soon, doesn't that sound nice ". Axis frowned and glared at him, " I don't even want to think about it ".

Luscious laughed, " That isn't very nice, his your brother-in-law remember ". Axis rolled his eyes angrily " The brat is rude and full of himself, coupled with his bad health. I'm surprised he isn't dead yet ".

Luscious frowned slightly, patting his back " You shouldn't think like that. Do you want Caitlin to be a widow or do you want Bonsi to lose her baby brother "? Luscious pulled on Axis' ears and smiled " That's why you have two ears, one for Cat and one for Bonsi ".

Axis clenched his fist, knocking Luscious' head " This is funny to you because you don't have a wife. Go get one ". Luscious laughed playfully, " She'll find me, I'm tired of looking for her ". Axis shook his head sadly [ He's hopeless ]

Luscious waved it off, " I'm actually looking forward to seeing him. I heard he isn't as sick as before anymore ". Axis frowned " Tsk...as long as he's attitude is better, I won't be sick of him ".
