Chapter 172 : Why are you so happy?

Luscious was so distracted by Nectar he'd forgotten to prepare for Fay's wrath. She creeped up behind him and pinched his side, " You seem happy ". He smiled stiffly, " Before you do something that I will regret, Would you believe I got lost "?

She looked him up and down, " Did you cause any trouble "? Luscious quickly shook his head, " None ". Fay suddenly pulled his ear and smiled, " That's good but you're still in trouble for ditching me ".

Luscious winced in pain and still managed to laugh, " Whatever makes you happy ". She squinted and let go of his ear, "You're always mischievous. What could make you so happy "?

Luscious instinctively touched his cheek where Nectar kissed and found himself fighting back a smile. Fay took a step back, " Now you're acting like a love sick kitten. Who is capable of such "?

He quickly shook his head, " Weren't you upset with me a minute ago "? She suddenly frowned and pulled his ear again, " Oh yeah. How dare you ditch me "? He winced again [ That one actually hurt ]

They were both distracted when they heard a familiar whiny voice, " I already said I was sorry ". Nectar groaned in frustration as she followed behind an annoyed Liam, " You can't just pretend I'm not here. I want dessert ".

He couldn't help but sigh. Honestly, if someone told him Nectar wasn't as fit as a fiddle, he'd never believe it. Even now, he was beginning to doubt it [ I really wanna figure her out ] " What did he do now Fay "?

Axis had a mocking smirk on his face as he spoke and Luscious rolled his eyes. He noticed the braid and held it, " Who had the guts to do this to you? I must reward them ". Bonsi and Fay ended up laughing while Axis swatted his hand away.

Luscious put his arm over his shoulder anyways, " I'm sure you hate the braid. Why do you still have it in "? Axis sighed, " I'm afraid Socta will simply do it again ". He looked at Axis, still playing wit his hair " Nectar "? He nodded, " That woman is the embodiment of mischief ".

Fay nodded as she looked ahead at the dinner table, " So she's a female version of Luscious ". Axis nodded, " Yeah, but with an extra pinch of daring ". Luscious' brow twitched slightly, " I'm right here you two ".

Kancor stood idly by against a pillar in the corner. Caitlin had been dragged off by Archie and he didn't really feel like pretending to socialize. And besides, he had a lot to worry about.

[ So I'm hearing voices telling me to protect "them". Who the fuck is them? ] He sighed to himself and mumbled, " I need to calm down " [ A drink would do me good ] " Would you like to join me Dowager "?

He looked behind him and saw Anala. She seemed surprised but smiled all the same, " Forgive me for not making a proper introduction ". Kancor gave a bow, " Unnecessary, Greetings to the Dowager ".

She looked at him intently, " So the rumors are true. You're health seems to have improved greatly. I'm satisfied ". He couldn't care to cover his confusion, " Thank you "?

She nodded mildly, " Your welcome. I've been trying to talk to you since your arrival but was unable to. Gave me the feeling you didn't wish to see me ". Kancor looked at her blankly [ No wonder Caitlin's scared of you ] " Then your instincts are on par ".

Anala clenched her fist tightly behind her back [ Insolent brat ] , " You've changed Kancor ". He tilted his head to the side, " Really? Then I hope it's a good thing ". He walked away after saying that and scratched his chin, " I really need that drink ".
